But the Doppelganger use the force of impact instead and swing its other arm and sword at Shin in a diagonal manner.

Shin swiftly move his left leg forward as he do a quick clockwise spin, skillfully dodging that diagonal slash. At the same time, he throw a flaming horizontal cut at the Doppelgangerʼs waist during the process of that spin.

The Doppelgangerʼs counter is perfectly timed to react, but Shin calmly responded at it. He is holding the sheath of his sword with his left hand in a reverse handgrip manner. Then he tightens his grip on the sword-sheath as he move his left arm backwards and positioning the sheath diagonally at his back, planning to block the incoming sword strike.

The Doppelganger was gotten off guard by that sudden kick and was hit by it, and took a step backward because of the impact of that kick.

Clang!

Clang!

Clang!

Each of Shinʼs strikes is stronger than the other because of the ʼYin-Yang Tiwstʼ Combat Technique, and the Doppelganger already knew about it, so it didnʼt let Shin to acuminate more force for his next attacks.

The Doppelganger transformed into a stick of crimson light as it move backwards and putting up some distance away from Shin.

ʼCopied Skill: Moonlight Stepsʼ

But before their swords collides with each other, Shin suddenly flicked his left wrist, making for the [Piercing Thorn] to change its trajectory.

Pssk!

-86 998

The [Piercing Thorn] pierced through the left chest of the Doppelganger but it failed to hit the target heart. Eh!? No, the Doppelganger have no heart to be targeted to begin with, so the expected bonus effect of the ʼHeart Seekerʼ skill didnʼt come in effect.

Then both of the swords of the Doppelganger suddenly release a threatening crimson glow.

Shin immediately pulled the [Piercing Thorn] from the Doppelgangerʼs chest and jumped backwards to put some distance away from the Doppelganger.

And that is the time when the Doppelganger throw a simultaneous diagonal slash with each of its sword on its front, sending a crimson cross shaped sword Qi towards Shinʼs direction.

Boom!

Shinʼs cross shaped sword Qi was immediately destroyed by the crimson sword wave because the Doppelgangerʼs stats is a lot higher than Shin. Then that crimson sword wave continue flying towards Shin but with a less power in it.

Shin formed a purple barrier around him to block the incoming sword wave while falling towards the ground.

ʼSlayer Skill: Eclipse Pulseʼ

Bang!

Crack! Crack!

The purple barrier around Shin show a lot of cracks on its surface when it was hit by the crimson sword wave, but it still managed to survive the attack. Then Shin successfully landed on the ground, four meters away from the Doppelganger.

After that, Shin immediately swing the [Yamato] rightwards, making for the purple barrier around him to be detonated and sending a circular sword wave that extends in all direction.

Pak!

-15 252

The Doppelganger failed to react at Shinʼs simple kick one again and stumble backwards and fall on its butt.

ʼI really like this new battle style from the system.ʼ thought Shin to himself before releasing the ʼConviction Formʼ the ʼMondiʼs Styleʼ and returning the [Piercing Thorn] into its sheath form.

Then he swiftly put the [Yamato] on its sheath before taking a sword drawing stance.

The Doppelganger is currently sitting on the ground so it canʼt block or dodge the incoming strike. All it can do is to activate its remaining defensive skill. A sword Qi enfold its body, protecting it from any harm.

ʼCopied Skill: Swordsman Resolveʼ

Shin sneered at the Doppelganger and said. ”Heh, Idi*t.”

Then Shin jump forward before spinning in the air and throwing a powerful kick at the Doppelgangerʼs head with his left leg.

Pak!

The kick didnʼt deal any damage because of the five second damage immunity of the ʼSwordsman Resolveʼ Skill, but that kick is enough to knock the Doppelganger on the ground.

Then Shin put some distance away from the Doppelganger to wait for the ten second duration of the ʼSwordsman Resolveʼ to come to an end. Naturally, the Doppelganger will chase after Shin during this time. But the later is quite skilled at running and dodging.

And when the ten second duration was up, Shin finally start his counterattack. Shin skillfully dodge the Doppelganger sword strikes and hop backwards while secretly channeling the power of the Sun on his sheathed sword.

And when the Doppelganger chase after him, Shin quickly pulled the sword from its sheath and swing it at the Doppelganger.

At the same time, the Doppelganger already learned its lesson and didnʼt blindly jump forward. Instead, it move backwards to get out from the flames.

Unfortunately, Shin already predicted that, and that is why he move closer to the raging flames. After that, he quickly pulled the [Yamato] out from its sheath and swing it rightwards, sending a crescent chilling sword Qi towards the raging flames.

ʼClass Fighting Style: Lunar Flashʼ

Shing!

Doppelgangerʼs senses are being hindered because of the raging flames around it. And so, it failed to dodge or block the incoming ice-cold sword Qi.

And when he arrived in front of the Doppelganger, Shin immediately pulled the sword once again and slash it the laterʼs frozen body.

ʼClass Fighting Style: Quick Drawʼ

Shing!

And since this is the strongest single target Skill at Shinʼs arsenal, the damage it dealt is quite stronger than his other ʼClass Fighting Style Skillsʼ.

Pssk!

-2 552 832

Then Shin immediately use the ʼMoonlight Stepsʼ to get away from the Doppelganger.

BOOM!!!

The Doppelganger have gone berserk with its one and a half million remaining HP. Then it suddenly disappeared at its current location and reappeared at Shinʼs back while swinging its sword downwards.

Shin use the ʼSun-Ray Dashʼ forward to get away from the Doppelganger. But the later immediately chase after him.

Shin cancel the ʼSun-Ray Dashʼ and use the ʼSword Rushʼ skill to change his direction. Unfortunately, the Doppelganger didnʼt get tricked by that sudden change of direction and continue chasing after him.

Shin tried to use the ʼVanishing Stepsʼ a few times to shake off the Doppelganger, but the later is always able to locked at his location.

Left with no choice, Shin is forced to face the berserk Doppelganger head-on. He transformed the sheath of his sword into a semitransparent longsword before holding it a forehand grip manner.

ʼLegacy Skill: Mondiʼs Style: Meteor Formʼ

Then Shin suddenly felt that he have gotten some bonus strength that came from his sword. But he is unable to feel it clearly because of the Doppelganger is already upon him.

Then Shin suddenly get an inspiration. He gritted his teeth as he swing his swords more. And every time his swords collides with his opponentʼs swords, he is trying to absorb some of force from the collision, before using it to supplement his attacks.

He is using the ʼYin-Yang Twistʼ Combat Technique together with the ʼParrying Stanceʼ Combat Technique. And after some time of using those Combat Techniques together against his opponentʼs attacks, Shin is starting get a hold of it and manage to get the upper hand as he deal some more damage at the Doppelganger.

Then a System Notification sounded on Shinʼs ears, unfortunately he have no time to check what kind of notification is it.

BANG!

(-50 632)

Shin was sent flying backwards after getting hit by a very powerful sword strike cast by the Doppelganger.

Then he flip in the air to relieve some force from the impact of that attack. At the same time, he release the ʼMeteor Formʼ of the ʼMondiʼs Styleʼ and transform the [Snowstorm Edge] back to its sheath form, before Shin put the [Yamato] in it.

Ta-Ta!

Shin crouch on the ground while holding the sheath of his sword with his left hand while placing his right hand at the hilt of the sword.

And that is the time when the when the Doppelganger arrived some distance away from Shin, before swinging both of its sword diagonally, sending a cross shaped crimson sword Qi forward.

ʼCopied Skill: Eclipse Crossʼ

Shin took a deep breath before sprinting forward. And before he collides with the cross shaped sword Qi, his body suddenly transformed into a stick of bluish-white light that charges forward, and pass through that sword Qi.
