Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1135: Chapter 389: Treasure Tower—Collapse Without Attack, Meeting Two Buffoons_3

As Zeng Rou expected, upon hearing the price of the black robes and masks, Han Peng and the others’ faces stiffened, clearly their intention to purchase nearly disappeared.

Zeng Rou was part of the first batch of staff members from Xia City Camp Needs Department when the Treasure Tower was completed in August. She has received nearly a thousand people, if not over eight hundred. Although her cultivation level doesn’t allow her to distinguish the strength of these people, she has cultivated a way to evaluate people.

Those who come from faraway towns to buy things at Treasure Tower, although they all have Cold Resistance Level cultivation, there’s a significant disparity in their financial capabilities despite being at the same level.

The identification of these people’s financial capabilities depends mainly on three aspects:

First, it’s the clothing. Those dressed in good quality fabrics are likely from town towns or have some town background. These people usually have decent financial strength, likely willing to spend hundreds of silver on clothes.

Secondly, it’s their demeanor. The silver sculptures of the outer eaves of Treasure Tower serve as the first screening mechanism. Generally, those who are overwhelmed by them likely have limited financial strength. Not that they can’t afford items costing hundreds of silver, but mainly they don’t have much silver on hand, so they’ll carefully choose the most useful items such as Beast Meat, Beast Blood, refined salt, summer wine, Dan Medicine, or weapons and War Armor that can enhance combat effectiveness.

Finally, it comes down to intuition, which is entirely subjective. For example, Zeng Rou knew that the previous month, a person who was dressed in tattered clothes actually purchased ten Dragon Carp Pills and various other materials worth more than 300,000 silver. The staff member who served him was Zeng Rou’s good friend Kong Xiu, who made 13,000 silver in one day, which translates to 130,000 Contribution Value points.

Kong Xiu’s overnight wealth story had already spread throughout Great Xia, making others envious. Now, the Treasure Tower institution under the Camp Needs Department has become a desirable place for many, who are eager to join.

Thinking about the many people in Xia City eyeing positions at Treasure Tower, Zeng Rou promptly adjusted her demeanor, smilingly continued speaking to Han Peng and the others, ”After changing clothes here, follow the corridor inward, and you’ll soon reach the first floor of Treasure Tower. Let me introduce the general situation of the entire Treasure Tower...”

The Treasure Tower is divided into five floors. The first three floors are for selling things, the fourth floor is for collecting items, and the top fifth floor is the auction area that is usually not open.

The first and second floors are the largest, containing the widest variety of goods. They have Beast Skin and Bones products, woodworking products, iron and pottery utensils, hunting tools like longbows, and various weapons and War Armors forged by Great Xia, as well as Xia paper, Xia cloth, Xia Jin, etc...you name it.

Though the items on these two floors are varied, they share a common characteristic: they are basically all substitutable in the Eight Towns.

Of course, if Great Xia dared to present them for sale, it means the workmanship and quality of most items here far exceed those found in the Eight Towns. Even if there are equivalent quality items, they surely have a price advantage.

The third floor is different. It sells unique Great Xia materials, with most linked to Cultivation Resources, such as Xia Silk, summer wine, Xia salt that are in high demand across the Eight Towns, over seventy kinds of Spirit Pills, specially made Thousand Forged Armor and Ten Thousand Forged items, even silver-made weapons etc...

The fourth floor specializes in external item collection. People from various village-level camps can sell any items they want here, ranging from basic mineral resources like coal, iron, and silver to unique regional assets, even unidentified new species. Treasure Tower will offer a corresponding price after identification, but whether to sell or not is up to them.

After hearing Zeng Rou’s final account, Han Peng and the leaders from the other eight families instantly appeared excited.

These people from village-level camps have traveled thousands of miles to Hongmen, principally to procure Cultivation Resources, followed by other items. Yet, they lack the financial strength compared to town towns. How can they buy more?

It requires trade!

These village-level camps settle in various areas, each family can offer several unique materials. Previously, they had no choice but to sell to their affiliated town towns, facing layers of exploitation, not to mention many precious Cultivation Resources from town towns were unavailable to them.

Now, Great Xia is not only open to offering these resources but also willing to pay for their materials, which is great news for all village-level camps across the Eight Towns.

Han Peng and the others suddenly realized why the news of Hongmen opening its port spread throughout all village-level camps in the Eight Towns within just two months.

”With Great Xia’s willingness to trade with all camps, they don’t even need to offer reasonable prices. Even if they lower the purchase price, everyone would gladly accept it. As a result, all village-level camps in Moao Mountain region would only wish to trade with Great Xia in the future, right?”

Han Peng had such a thought and his expression froze.

”Are we, these village-level camps, going to listen to our respective town towns, or Great Xia in the future?”

Not only Han Peng, Yue Long also realized this and was stunned internally asking this question.

”Great Xia is clearly undermining things from the roots! Surely, the Eight Towns won’t let them continue this way?”
