Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1114: Chapter 384: His Highness’s New Friends, Settling in the Inner City, Accelerated Cultivation, 5th Birthday Banquet

The moment the child took off the black cover, revealing his true face.

Not only Han Feng, but also Tan Rou, who stood beside him, had their expressions momentarily frozen.

Under the mask was a cute little face carved like jade.

The child’s skin was so pure and delicate, without a trace of wind or frost damage. Tan Rou, who had lived for more than thirty years, had never seen such good skin, and was momentarily stunned.

Though he was taller than his peers, judging by his appearance, he was only about five or six years old.

The child’s black silk-knit velvet cap was hollow, with half-long black hair meticulously gathered at the top of his head, secured by an exquisite small silver crown and three silver hairpins.

The three silver hairpins shone brightly, engraved with intricate glass patterns and sculpted at the ends into three different small Cold Beasts. Though each miniature beast had a diameter of no more than three centimeters, their eyes, foreheads, bodies, limbs, and even fur were vividly detailed.

The hairpins used for tying hair were exquisitely crafted, and the small silver crown on the child’s head was even more so. Other than the solid bottom edge with a single layer of engravings, the rest was woven with silver threads, and topped with a thumb-sized golden bead. It was exquisitely beautiful.

Beneath the child’s black robe, the innermost gold lining shimmered faintly, and the custom-made black garment on top emitted a visible glow, indicating the extraordinary material, not to mention the two-tone gold and silver thread patterns interwoven in the fabric.

The child’s neck, waist, wrists, and even the brim of his cap were adorned with various accessories.

No, they shouldn’t be called accessories.

They must be treasures!

The child’s cap brim was pressed curiously low, yet even so, the pair of bright, confident, and spirited eyes beneath were extremely striking.

Tan Rou, though over thirty, considered herself knowledgeable, yet after observing this child, a profound sense of inferiority surged in her heart. Seeing her two sons standing so close to him, she almost felt the urge to pull them back beside her.

It seemed a long time, but it was just a moment.

”Your Highness, you took off the cover again. We agreed not to do this in the Outer City. If you don’t keep your word, I’ll go back and tell the Madam.”

Today Xia Yusheng had befriended two new companions. Just after he removed the cover, lost in excitement, preparing to continue talking with Han Ming and Han Rui, he heard Han Shuang’s voice from behind.

Upon hearing Han Shuang’s threat to tell his mother, Xia Yusheng swiftly placed the cover back, hurriedly turning around to plead, ”Aunt Shuang, I was wrong. I won’t take off the cover again. Please don’t tell my mom!”

Han Shuang, who had already approached, first helped Xia Yusheng adjust the Black Feather Cover then pretended to contemplate, softly saying, ”It’s almost dawn. If Your Highness promises to go back to the Star-picking Hall obediently, I won’t tell Madam. How about it?”

”Okay, okay, I’ll go back right away...”

Without hesitation, Xia Yusheng agreed.

Tomorrow would be his and his two sisters’ fifth birthday, and his mother Li Xuanling would definitely leave seclusion. If Han Shuang really told mother Li Xuanling about him removing the cover in the Outer City, he probably wouldn’t be allowed to leave the Inner City for the coming year.

A true man must know when to yield and stand firm!

After agreeing, Xia Yusheng remembered something, turned to look at the two newly acquainted friends, and said with feigned grandiosity, ”You two, as Aunt Shuang’s nephews, you are now friends of mine, the crown prince. Aunt Shuang told me you’ll be living in the Inner City, and I will visit you to play.”

”Great, we’ll wait for you.”

Children are different from adults; Tan Rou could discern from Xia Yusheng’s attire and demeanor that his identity was remarkable. But Han Ming and Han Rui couldn’t; they sensed he was different from them but didn’t feel inferior, immediately agreeing.

Finally satisfied, Xia Yusheng turned, heading towards the Inner City.

”Nong Ying, Qiu Ru, escort His Highness back to the Star-picking Hall, I’ll follow soon!”

Han Shuang didn’t leave; she instructed the accompanying maids to hurry, watching Xia Yusheng’s group move away, before turning to Han Feng’s family with a smile, ”Brother, sister-in-law, you’ve finally arrived!”

She went to the Outer City tonight specifically to meet her elder brother Han Feng’s family. Normally, no matter how much Xia Yusheng kicked up a fuss, she wouldn’t dare bring him to the Outer City.

Today, Xia Yusheng was lucky, coinciding with the return of Lord Xia Hong from outside.

The little rascal cunningly knew Han Shuang dared not bring him out, promptly begged Xia Hong, who was not as strict as Li Xuanling. Seeing his son pleading, Xia Hong soon relented.

Of course, Xia Hong also asked why Han Shuang was going to the Outer City. Upon learning she was fetching her brother Han Feng’s family, he immediately agreed to Xia Yusheng’s request to play in the Outer City.

Hence, the scene just now.

Hearing his sister’s call, a smile emerged on Han Feng’s face, but he quickly recalled something, leaned forward, and softly asked, ”Shuang’er, was that little prince just now...?”

Han Shuang simply nodded and said softly, ”That’s the Lord’s eldest son, Prince Yusheng, who just turned five this year.”
