Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 510: Chapter 229: The Dust Settles, Beehive in Hand

Puchi......

In the Hive Main Zone, the sound of iron arrows piercing through flesh came one after another, further increasing the death toll of the Zhaoyang troops. Noticing the relentless rain of arrows from the Great Xia becoming more and more intense, their charge towards the hive became even more reckless.

”Charge, only by breaking through do we have a sliver of hope to survive. Don’t just stay in place and wait for death!”

Hou Ming slashed through the front ranks of the hive group, roaring furiously.

Hou Bing and Hou Ying followed closely, one wielding a sword and the other a staff.

Even without Lin Ye, the simultaneous charge of the three at Cold Resistance Level still managed to tear open a big gap in the Hive Guards.

The large throng of Zhaoyang troops finally surged into the main zone buildings through that gap, with the frontline hundreds immediately entangling with the hive crowd, engaging in close combat.

”Charge faster, mix into them, it will be difficult for Great Xia to shoot arrows!”

Hou Ying struck down over ten people in front of him with a swing of his staff, turning back to see the rear lines still falling under the Great Xia’s iron arrows, and with eyes blazing in anger, he charged back to help, waving his long staff to shield the rear from arrows.

Unfortunately, there were just too many iron arrows from the Great Xia.

Even though he swung his staff with sparks flying, it was ultimately just a drop in the bucket.

Like most camps in the Ice Abyss World, the Great Xia people’s archery skills had been honed to perfection through countless hunts. Moreover, over half of the thousand that came this time were members of the Intermediate Hunting Team, so there was no need to even mention their archery prowess.

The moment Hou Ying came out to block, everyone aimed their longbows at other targets, avoiding him.

Puchi... Puchi... Puchi......

Seeing his subordinates still falling, Hou Ying was tormented with anxiety and with rage burning in his heart, he looked back at the thousand Great Xia people and charged directly towards them.

”Hou Ying, come back, don’t go over there!”

Hou Ming, who had already penetrated the middle of the hive crowd, caught a glimpse of Hou Ying’s actions and immediately roared to stop him.

”Everyone’s almost dead, we can’t let them keep shooting!”

Unfortunately, Hou Ying was already blinded by anger.

After all, being of Cold Resistance Level strength, and most of the iron arrows from the Great Xia couldn’t break through his skin, Hou Ying’s reckless demeanor still intimidated quite a few, and he quickly charged to the very front of the Great Xia troops.

Whoosh......

Hou Ying suddenly leapt, raising his staff high and slashing it downwards, sweeping up a fierce wind, causing the frontline of Great Xia to instinctively retreat two steps.

”Why panic, keep shooting!”

Seeing his frontline troops retreat, Yuwen Dao frowned and, after an angry shout, raised his broadsword and charged straight at Hou Ying.

”Meng Yi, stay here to lead the army, Hong Guang, go to the front and assist the Minister!”

Clang......

The broadsword collided fiercely with the staff, and Hou Ying’s body was blasted back like a cannonball, flying more than ten meters away. His furious expression cleared up instantly, and seeing Yuwen Dao, his eyes were full of horror.

He only now remembered that Lin Ye had mentioned earlier that Yuwen Dao’s basic strength was at least five manes, more than twice his own.

Glancing at Meng Yi, who hadn’t moved behind Yuwen Dao, he felt a chill down his spine.

He couldn’t fight; he had to run!

Yuwen Dao watched Hong Guang weaving through the crowd and heading towards Xia Chuan at the back of the main zone, then focused on the fleeing Hou Ying, a cold smile on his face as he said, ”It’s too late to run now.”

The broadsword struck first, and his body, like an arrow off the string, charged forward with the broadsword, catching up with Hou Ying in less than three breaths.

Whoosh......

The giant broadsword slashed through the air, sending a horizontal gale, as the violent force struck from behind, Hou Ying, seeing the nearby Zhaoyang crowd, gritted his teeth and did not turn back, only reaching behind to position the staff upright.

Clang!

The massive force on the broadsword slammed fiercely, and the staff in Hou Ying’s hands successfully blocked the horizontal edge of the broadsword, protecting his body.

But was that the end?

Bam......

His body was protected, but the force on the broadsword directly slammed him onto the ground, the front half of his body crashing with a tremendous bang.

Hou Ying’s forehead, nose, chest, and lower limbs were instantly covered in blood.

”Puchi......”

A mouthful of blood spewed out, and before Hou Ying could get up, a cold sensation came from the back of his neck, knowing it was Yuwen Dao’s broadsword held there, his face stiffened, not daring to move.

Yuwen Dao didn’t kill him but instead gestured to Meng Yi behind him.

Meng Yi understood, beckoned, and immediately four men from the Great Xia crowd rushed out.

Each of the four held a sturdy iron chain with a hook, lifting Hou Ying from the ground and piercing the hook directly through his collarbone.

Puchi...

Hou Ying instantly wilted and was dragged away by the four men.

”There are only over three hundred people left in Zhaoyang; isn’t it about time?”

Hearing Meng Yi’s words, Yuwen Dao turned to look at the battlefield in the hive main zone, a cold light flashing in his eyes, he shook his head slightly.

”The beehive only lost a little over a hundred people in the past two days, the loss isn’t great. There are at least over six hundred in the Earth-digging Realm in the main zone, and the Minister said that there are too many in the Earth-digging Realm in the hive, not suitable for us to control, so we have to wait a bit longer!”

Watching the two sides still fighting in the main zone, Meng Yi glanced at the very rear at Xia Chuan, feeling a chill rise in his heart.

”You stay here, if it’s hard to shoot arrows just guard the iron gate, with the enmity formed with this group from Zhaoyang, we can’t let a single one escape.”

”Yes, Sir!”

Meng Yi nodded in agreement and returned to continue commanding the Great Xia army.

Yuwen Dao then raised his broadsword and continued to charge forward.
