My Talent Panel Can Add Points

Divine Monarch: If I have multiple Authorities, couldn’t I be more flexible?

Hissa: That’s even more trash.

Divine Monarch: ?

Hissa: If you have multiple Authorities, you can just use the new-version Domain to fuse different Authorities into one whole—a super-strong Domain that can be activated in an instant.

Hissa: But what about the Ancient Magic Domain?

Hissa: The construction speed for a Domain that manipulates a single Authority is already slow enough; once you’re handling multiple Authorities, the Domain assembled from them is slow as hell. By the time your Domain comes out, the enemy will have killed you eight hundred times.

Hissa: If it’s single-Authority switching, that also demands very high proficiency, but the problem is that no matter how high your proficiency is, the intensity is still just so-so. Compared to a Domain formed by multiple Authorities fused together, the gap is simply too big.

Divine Monarch: I heard this is pretty hard to do.

Hissa: No matter how hard it is, you still have to do it, otherwise you’ll never bring out your full potential.

Hissa: Look on the bright side—so long as you can create a Domain that fuses multiple Authorities, you can unleash peak intensity and achieve excellent Effect.

Divine Monarch: But back in the Tier One World, I ran into a powerful Divinity. Their Domain activated really fast, and the intensity was very high too. What was going on there?

Hissa: Send it over.

Divine Monarch: [Battle Footage – Profound Nether]

Hissa: Holy crap, you fought this thing at Tier One?

Hissa: This guy’s strength is ridiculous. All Attributes have hit the Tier One Limit. His fighting style has zero reference value—this is pure ”big stats, hard carry,” technique doesn’t account for much.

Hissa: His Authority is too strong, so he basically doesn’t need any extra technique.

Hissa: If you want to achieve his kind of Effect, you first need insanely high stats, then you can brute-force stat check your opponent. This only works to crush people whose numbers are obviously lower than yours. The moment you run into someone around your level using a new-version Domain, you’ll lose.

Divine Monarch: Actually, I feel like it’s not completely off the table; my stats are pretty high too.

Hissa: ...Right, I forgot about that.

Hissa: How should I put it—your case is a pure outlier. But if you’re facing stronger enemies, or someone around your own level, using an Ancient Magic Domain won’t have much Effect.

Hissa: Against weaker opponents, you shouldn’t even need a Domain at all, there’s no point.

Divine Monarch: Mm, I’ll just use it as a reference.

Hissa: You can judge for yourself. Studying the construction process itself is pretty good, since you’ll have to use it later anyway. Having more experience with the same stuff isn’t a bad thing.

Divine Monarch: Got it.

....

Ye Mingqiu opened the materials.

The Ancient Magic Domain requires three steps to activate.

First, Authority Induction.

You start by using the Authority you’ve mastered as the core, then fuse your Spiritual Power and spread it outward, forming a curtain in the world that belongs to you alone. This isn’t just combining Authority with Energy to produce a burst, but shaping a dedicated area that is influenced by your Authority.

Second, Rule-Weaving.

You use Spiritual Power on the spot to weave lines of Law, essentially handwriting the Domain’s content and constructing the rules in your mind.

This step sounds simple, but doing it is actually quite troublesome, and it demands extremely high mastery over your Authority.

To put it simply, the world is a computer. Step one is using your hand to turn on the monitor. Then, on the screen, you use Spiritual Power to write code. Once the code is written, it can take effect. The problem is, the knowledge reserve required to write code is huge, and the actual act of writing it is also a big hassle.

Third, Domain Solidification.

After the weaving is complete, it won’t just sustain itself. The user has to spend Spiritual Power to maintain the Domain so that its Effect continues until the Domain expires.

As for the new-version Domain, it will, in most cases, have a sustain script written internally, automatically consuming Energy to maintain the Domain without extra mental effort.

The new-version Domain is essentially pre-written code that you can launch with a single click.

In all sorts of respects, compared to an Ancient Magic Domain, it has obvious advantages. If there weren’t clear advantages, the new-version Domain wouldn’t have replaced the Ancient Magic Domain, especially since Domains cost money and consume massive resources.

If the Effect is bad, no one’s going to use it.

When constructing a Domain with multiple Authorities, the code you need to write becomes extremely complex, and an Ancient Magic Domain takes a lot of time to construct.

With the new version, the time cost is moved to before Domain activation—the construction process happens in advance. It’s equivalent to writing the complicated code beforehand so that when you actually use it, you can skip all the setup. Compared to the Ancient Magic Domain, its advantage is even more significant.

The era will progress.

Technology will develop.

Old methods aren’t necessarily stronger. In the world of Spiritualists, unless there’s an Age of Diminished Law or a break in Inheritance, the mainstream version is always stronger—and the newer it is, the stronger it tends to be, not the older.

”That said, the Ancient Magic Domain isn’t without its merits.” Ye Mingqiu thought silently.

They’re both ways to construct Domains; you can think of both as writing code, just different code Types. Pre-written code and on-the-spot edited code aren’t the same Type, so under normal circumstances it’s not recommended to train both too much; the practical use is actually limited.

However, the techniques for structuring code can be inherited completely.

Other people’s Domains are usually built from a single Authority, whereas Ye Mingqiu has to use multiple Authorities. His requirements for precision of control power will probably exceed those of other Spiritualists.

So practicing in advance is necessary!

And this doesn’t cost anything; it doesn’t require extra resources, so it’s relatively cheap!

”Sigh!”

Ye Mingqiu let out a deep sigh. If he had enough materials, why would he learn the Ancient Magic method? He’d just burn materials to train; the Effect would definitely be better.

But it’s expensive!

And not just regular expensive!

But the Effect is also excellent. Without the blessing of a Domain, the three Divinities—Jade Rhinoceros God, Ancient Elf Monarch, and Aiden—would probably have trouble lasting a day in battle against Ye Mingqiu.

All three of them have Domains, and they even have the sustain-enhancing Divine Tree Domain, which is why they managed to fight for a month. That’s the Effect of a Domain.

On top of that, Jade Rhinoceros God can burn Life to erupt with terrifying strength strong enough to suppress Ye Mingqiu’s movements head-on. You have to remember, Ye Mingqiu’s Abnormal Status Resistance is extremely high! Under normal circumstances, he can’t be controlled at all!

Even the Tier One Profound Nether Domain didn’t manage to control him!

Before, he thought it was because his stats were high and his Resistance strong enough, but after Master Hissa pointed it out, he realized the other side was an even bigger stats monster. On the surface, the operation looked impressive, but in reality the Domain was just a numbers steamroll.

If that guy had really played the Domain to its full potential, Ye Mingqiu’s Resistance back then wouldn’t have held up at all.

However...

At the time, Profound Nether did hold back, so that probably wasn’t his full strength. He just showed that one portion; he might have mastered much stronger techniques and simply didn’t use them.

”Let me take a look at the concrete process.”

”First I need Authorities. That part’s easy—I have the Heavenly Authority, the Authority of Light and Shadow, and the Fiery Sun Authority, and I even have a small amount of Life Authority... I’m already fully qualified.”

”Eh?”

”Control Power is actually affected by Soul Strength? Doesn’t that mean this is great for me?”

Ye Mingqiu suddenly smiled. His Soul Power had always been strong; this was quite advantageous for him. Even more importantly—

The materials clearly stated that for the vast majority of Spiritualists, the Soul Strength prerequisite for Ancient Magic Domains is hard to reach. Only Spiritualists with exceptional Talent, or Soul Cultivators, can meet it.

So in other words...

Those who are broke and want to train in Ancient Magic Domains basically have almost no chance of success, and this is one of the reasons the Ancient Magic Domain system was completely phased out.

”Right now, my Soul Strength is very high. The difficulty of constructing a Domain should be relatively low. Let me try building a Domain in its preliminary form first! Maybe my Domain construction speed won’t be as slow as other Spiritualists’. If that’s the case... then things might get interesting.”

Ye Mingqiu took a deep breath and, following the method described in the materials, began to activate his Authorities.

The Domain attempted to unfold at that very moment!
