Chapter 265: Chapter 149: Let Light and Shadow Illuminate the World

This believer is too reliable!

As the influence of the Light and Shadow Church expanded, the ruling Federation was enraged. They mobilized the army to suppress and subdue the believers, causing significant losses to the Light and Shadow Association, yet the legendary Lord of Light and Shadow did not appear.

Gradually, the Light and Shadow Association was on the verge of collapse, more and more followers were arrested, and the uproar surrounding the Light and Shadow Association began to subside.

Just when the people at the top started feeling relieved, a new explosion erupted.

The Lord of Light and Shadow appeared at the Federal Congress, and in an open meeting, hung over a hundred congress seats on a cross of light and shadow, releasing a scorching bright sun upon them, while admonishing with astonishing rhetoric:

”Was it wrong?”

”Was it wrong?”

”Was it wrong?”

....

No questions about the reason, no questions about the process, no questions about the result, Ye Mingqiu cared for nothing. He only focused on the emotions as perceived through [Innate Perception], he only cared about how these people felt, he was the most concerned and understanding of them all, even more so than themselves.

In an instant, the entire world boiled over, and the global armed forces concentrated to launch an attack on the Lord of Light and Shadow. The Lord of Light and Shadow then activated the triple skills of [Divine Majesty] [Beast King True Form] [Tyrant Form], transforming into a giant over ten meters tall, slaughtering everything in the parliament and completely annihilating the army.

And while the members of the congress were roasted on the cross of light and shadow, watching their rescuing army being utterly defeated, pain continuously burned within them, and their willpower crumbled alongside.

Yet what broke them the most was the Lord of Light and Shadow’s words: ”Was it wrong.”

Why don’t you tell us where we were wrong?

You want money, you can have it!

You want power, you can have that too!

You can have whatever you want!

Yet you want nothing, just hanging us on a cross and asking if it’s wrong, who the hell can withstand that!

After the terrifying mental pressure, one member finally realized, shouting: ”I was wrong, I know where I was wrong, Lord of Light and Shadow, please forgive me! Please forgive my sins!”

Ye Mingqiu nodded slightly, raised his hand to lower him, and the member knelt down to worship, promising to be a person with a clear conscience from now on.

Immediately afterward, the other members seemed to have found a shortcut, and they all began to admit their mistakes, without caring about anything else, just admitting their wrongs.

Yet this was totally ineffective!

Ye Mingqiu cared for nothing, he only sensed the other’s heart through [Innate Perception]; as long as the heart was clear, it would be fine, but if the heart did not change, even if they sincerely confessed their wrongs, Ye Mingqiu would not let them down.

Acknowledging mistakes is not important, admitting is not important, what’s important is that the heart has to change, to become the way Ye Mingqiu wanted it to be, this was his sole demand.

As the Lord of Light and Shadow, he didn’t question right or wrong because everything in the world was overly complex, he had no such energy to understand, only the color of the heart was what he cared about the most.

Idealism

This is the core of the Lord of Light and Shadow!

As time passed bit by bit, the members of congress gradually understood everything. At their moment of mental breakdown, they were converted by the will of light and shadow, not even knowing what they thought, only knowing to admit mistakes and embrace the light and shadow.

[Hint: You have grasped the special application method secret of the Power of Faith, you can accelerate the birth of skill understanding by consuming 5 points of the Power of Faith]

[Hint: Choose to accelerate?]

Yes.

Immediately, Ye Mingqiu felt his power seemingly undergo a transformation, gradually acquiring special traits, traits so profound he could not describe them in words.

[Hint: You have acquired the skill - Soul Capturing]

Soul Capturing (Passive)

Skill Level: ★★★★

Skill Effect: When you use the faith title, you can inflict the [Spiritual Corruption] effect on other units during admonition.

”Hmm?”

Ye Mingqiu slightly frowned, thinking: I’ve always conducted myself with integrity, why would I acquire a skill like [Spiritual Corruption]? I’m clearly not that kind of person, this appearance of such a skill must be due to issues with the Power of Faith.

If it were me, it should be an understanding skill letting my apostles enlighten themselves, not corruption, this Spirit Realm still has too many issues.

Alas! Set up by the Power of Faith!

A few days later, the chaotic world gradually returned to peace, but differently, there was now a holy organization called the Light and Shadow Association in this world, where members would admonish those they deemed not clear-hearted, saving others through their own power.

The existence of members of the Light and Shadow Association was indeed quite peculiar; they spread and expanded like a ridiculous virus, yet the followers themselves are gentle and refined in conduct, never hostile to others, even often doing good deeds, helping others, even leading many to willingly join.

The world became a bit peculiar, yet eerily peaceful and serene, the virus known as faith gradually took root and germinated within the world.

”Hmm, this should be about right.”

Ye Mingqiu looked at the harmonious world, a relieved smile gradually appearing on his face, for such a world, was indeed the peaceful world he wished to see.

Achieving such peace, the final score should not be low, right?

That’s good then

”Settlement.”

[Hint: Trial completed, settling...]
