Chapter 205: Chapter 35: The Lord of Light and Shadow’s Origin (Part 4)

So comfortable...

Roger felt the changes in his body, and a jubilant smile gradually appeared on his face. With just a remnant of a book, he was able to obtain such thorough and powerful healing. This trade was a massive win for him.

Ye Mingqiu also felt he had gained a lot. By casually casting a Healing Skill, he directly obtained a Demon Secret Scripture. Although incomplete, it still held value.

This trade was worth it.

Soon after, other members of the Morning Star Group also brought forward various ”precious items” as if offering treasures. However, to the Lord of Light and Shadow, these so-called precious items were no more than trash.

Nonetheless, he still picked out some useful trash and took them away, giving each person a healing skill released with Holy Power, known as the Holy Healing Skill.

The Holy Healing Skill had an extremely strong effect, surpassing elite-level purification by countless times. It not only restored their condition but also dispelled curse effects, bringing them back to peak state. It was exceptionally useful.

Quickly, the members of the Morning Star Group returned to normal, and their rationality was restored. The cores that reduced rationality were the Silent Curse and Rationality Pollution. Both essentially belonged to curses and were countered by Holy Power, so they could be removed.

This led the members of the Morning Star Group to bow their heads to the Lord of Light and Shadow, showing respect in a believer’s posture.

At this moment, many were planning to try to establish a connection with the Lord of Light and Shadow through faith once they left this world.

The vast majority of spiritualists are pragmatists, and the compassionate nature of the Lord of Light and Shadow is precisely what these pragmatists appreciate. They are not afraid of not gaining power after offering their faith; at the very least, they would have a guarantee.

Having a guarantee is enough!

More importantly, the main reason most spiritualists do not believe in divinities is not that they don’t want to have faith or gain power, but because they have never had the opportunity to encounter a divinity.

Faith often requires a medium. Without a medium, there can be no faith or connection with a divinity. Encountering a projection of a god allows memory to serve as that medium, enabling them to pray for power through memory and faith.

Of course, not everyone is willing to gain power through faith in a divinity.

Because faith not only has benefits but also drawbacks, believing in a divinity equates to binding oneself to it. If the divine encounters issues, the believer would also lose power, potentially even more than they initially received.

Moreover, having faith in a deity also means submitting to it and showing vulnerability. As a result, many powerful spiritualists are unwilling to gain power through faith.

But ordinary spiritualists...

Most lack belief because there was never an opportunity...

No qualification...

The prerequisite for faith to be rewarded is the willingness of a divinity to respond. If the divinity is indifferent, no amount of faith will be effective. However, with persistent faith, there’s a possibility that someday the divinity might casually bestow a bit of power.

So, these spiritualists actually know their abilities are insufficient, and their faith is not pure, meaning there’s a high chance of failure. Yet, even if they fail, trying several more times might at least guarantee some reward.

After all, the Lord of Light and Shadow is evidently a kind god, one who cherishes life and does not kill innocents, protecting the vulnerable. Surely, he is a benevolent deity.

It’s a safe bet to believe in him!

Looking at his recovered teammates, Roger’s face gradually showed a comforting smile. If possible, he wished to stay by the Lord of Light and Shadow’s side always.

Where the Lord of Light and Shadow resides is an absolute sanctuary, with absolute order. The mysteries and rules of the Silent Corridor cannot intrude on his Domain. Therefore, where he exists is absolutely safe, and staying by his side would make it easy to safely pass 24 hours.

Oh! I have something to show the Lord of Light and Shadow.

With this thought, Roger took out a blood-colored stone from his Storage Space and offered it with both hands to the Lord of Light and Shadow.

This Blood Crystal Stone was a prize from an exceedingly dangerous world, where many gods existed. There, gods viewed humans as cattle, enslaving them to mine Blood Crystal Stones for the Divine Race.

The Blood Crystal Stone seemed powerful, but Roger had no idea how to use it. He couldn’t craft equipment or sell it, as other spiritualists had no manual for its use either.

But since the Lord of Light and Shadow is a divinity, he should be able to use it, right? Perhaps it’s useful to him too. I hadn’t thought of this before... It must have been the rationality reduction affecting my thinking. Once my rationality was restored, I could think of this.

The influence of rationality is immense! Yet, it’s nearly impossible for one to feel it!

It’s terrifying!

”Hmm?”

The Lord of Light and Shadow casually glanced at the item Roger presented. He had grown accustomed to these people offering him trash and hadn’t noticed initially, but he quickly realized there was something different about this.

This thing looks familiar...

Blood Crystal Stone?

The Blood Crystal Stone

Type: Mineral

Description: A blood-red mineral, seemingly exuding a vibrant life force.

This thing...

Isn’t this the Blood Crystal Stone for strengthening the Blood Spear!

In the early days, the Spirit Realm showed that the only way to strengthen the Blood Spear was to use Blood Crystal Stones. However, Ye Mingqiu hadn’t been able to obtain any Blood Crystal Stones, so he had to enhance the Blood Spear’s strength by absorbing blood from enemies and performing blood sacrifices.
