I AM A MAGE BUT WITH MILF SYSTEM

Chapter 308: Battle against Social norms

Alden turned to Alice. ”Alice, do something. You have to help her!”

Alice nodded. ”Of course, leave it to me; I will handle it.”

She stepped forward and gently helped Eleanor to her feet. ”Letʼs get her to her room. We will proceed there.”

With that, Alice carefully guided Eleanor down the hallway.

The rest of the family followed closely behind, their concern growing by the second.

Once they arrived at Eleanorʼs room, Alice opened the door and turned to address everyone. ”Everyone stay outside,” she said.

Regina hesitated, her protective instincts kicking in. ”But—” she protested.

Before she could protest further, Alden placed a hand on her shoulder. ”Itʼs okay, Regina. Let Alice do her work.”

His voice was soothing, but he could not hide the anxious tone of his worry.

Regina bit her lip but nodded as she stepped back slowly. Only Julian remained calm, but his mind was busy contemplating what could have caused Eleanorʼs sudden pain.

Stomachache...? He thought. Is it related to that...?

Inside the room, Alice quickly got to work, gently placing Eleanor on the bed.

Eleanorʼs body trembled as she continued crying. Her hands clutched her stomach, her face twisted in pain.

”Ah... ahhh... it hurts!” She screamed.

Aliceʼs brow furrowed as she examined her. There were no visible injuries to explain the pain. Carefully, she pressed her hands on Eleanorʼs stomach, her fingers glowing faintly with healing energy.

”Eleanor,” Alice said softly, trying to calm her down. ”breathe. Focus on your breathing. Let me help you.”

But Eleanor could barely hear her words. Her eyes were wide and unfocused, as if her mind was drifting somewhere far away.

Aliceʼs breath quickened as she inspected Eleanorʼs stomach again. Her heart sank when she noticed a small bulge that hadnʼt been visible before. She pressed gently against it, her hands trembling slightly.

No... this canʼt be, she thought, her heart pounding in shock.

”She is pregnant...?” she whispered to herself.

The shock of the realization hit her hard. It didnʼt make sense. How could this have happened?

She quickly looked up at Eleanor, ”Eleanor, tell me what is exactly happening to you.”

Eleanor hesitated, her face flushed with confusion and pain. ”I... I donʼt know,” she whispered, breathlessly. ”My stomach... itʼs just aching so badly. I thought it was just a stomachache... but now...”

Alice took a deep breath. ”Itʼs not just a random ache, is it? You have been feeling something different, havenʼt you?”

Eleanor fell silent and turned her gaze away from Alice. Her hands trembled as she held her stomach protectively.

Aliceʼs gaze softened. ”Eleanor...” she said, ”How long have you been feeling this way?”

Eleanor didnʼt respond, and tears fell down her cheeks as she turned to her sides.

Alice stood up and walked to the door. She paused for a moment before opening it.

”I need Regina in here now,” she said urgently.

The atmosphere outside the room was thick with tension.

Aldenʼs hands were shaking slightly as he stepped forward. ”What happened, Alice?” he asked. ”Is she fine?”

Evaʼs worried tone followed, ”Yes, Alice. Is she okay?”

Alice raised her hand to silence them. ”Calm down, everyone,” she said. ”Itʼs nothing serious.”

With a final glance at the group, she stepped into the room with Regina and locked the door behind them.

Outside, Julian watched the scene unfold with an amused smile. He crossed his hands and leaned casually against the wall. His gaze flickered toward the door where Alice had just entered, and a thought crossed his mind.

”So... itʼs that, huh?” Julian murmured, his smile widening.

He chuckled to himself, ”Am I going to be a father?” he said. His heart fluttered with excitement, but there was also a deeper layer of uncertainty beneath his outward confidence.

”Well... well, this certainly makes things interesting.”

Inside the room, Reginaʼs eyes were filled with worry as she looked at Alice, ”What happened, Alice? Why are you so nervous?”

Alice hesitated as she tried to find the right words. She had always prided herself on being calm and composed, but this was something new to even her.

She looked at Regina, then back at Eleanor, who was still lying on the bed.

”I... I donʼt know how it happened, but...” Alice paused, unable to finish her sentence.

Regina tilted her head as she urged her, ”What? Alice, tell me. What are you trying to say?”

Alice took a deep breath. ”Eleanor is pregnant,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Reginaʼs eyes widened, shock and confusion flashing across her face. ”What... do you mean?” she stammered, as if trying to comprehend the implications of what Alice had just said.

Alice stood still, unsure of how to explain the unexplainable.

Regina, still processing the shock, shook her head slightly in disbelief. ”How...? I mean... sheʼs...?”

”I know,” Alice interrupted. ”It doesnʼt make sense. I have checked, and itʼs true. But I donʼt know how. I need to understand this myself.”

Regina stood frozen for a moment, her gaze shifting to Eleanor. She approached the bed slowly and sat down beside Eleanor.

Her trembling hands reached out to caress Eleanorʼs stomach. The bulge in her stomach was unmistakable.

”She really is... pregnant,” she whispered to herself, forcing herself to accept the reality.

She cupped Eleanorʼs cheeks with both hands, her touch gentle and reassuring. ”Dear, donʼt be afraid. Tell me, did you know about it?” she asked.

Eleanor nodded silently.

Regina took a deep breath, trying to steady her own emotions before asking, ”And... who is the... father?”

Eleanor hesitated. She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, avoiding Reginaʼs gaze.

Regina gently tilted Eleanorʼs head, urging her to meet her gaze. ”Donʼt be afraid, Eleanor. Tell me. Itʼs going to be fine. You can tell me.”

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, ”Ju... Julian...” Eleanor finally whispered, her voice barely audible.

For a moment, the room fell completely silent.

Reginaʼs eyes widened briefly, but she did not seem too affected by the revelation. She remained silent, her gaze locked on Eleanor.

Meanwhile, Aliceʼs shock was greater than anyoneʼs. Her mouth opened wide in disbelief as she processed what Eleanor had just said. Her eyes darted between the two women—Regina, who seemed more composed, and Eleanor, who appeared both fragile and guilty.

Her hands trembled as she placed them on the edge of the bed, struggling to come to terms with the situation.

”Wait, wait,” Alice uttered. ”Are you telling me... Julian and Eleanor...?” she paused, ”But... theyʼre siblings!?”

She couldnʼt quite wrap her mind around it. She looked at Eleanorʼs vulnerable form lying in bed, then at Regina. How could this happen? How could Julian—her nephew—do this to his own sister?

Confusion, disgust, and horror overwhelmed her the more she thought about it.

What was going through your mind, Eleanor? How could you... let Julian do this to you? She thought, unable to voice her opinion.

Regina broke the silence, ”Eleanor, tell me—how long has it been?” She asked calmly.

Eleanor, still unable to meet Reginaʼs gaze, whispered, ”A while... I was afraid to say anything.”

Regina placed a gentle hand on Eleanorʼs shoulder. ”Well... take a rest for now. We will figure it out later,” she said, offering a reassuring smile.

Aliceʼs blood boiled seeing the calmness in Reginaʼs voice as if it was nothing unusual to her.

”Regina! What is wrong with you? Why are you so calm about this?” She screamed, her disbelief quickly shifting to outrage.

Regina turned to face her ”Because I have no objection to it, Alice,” she said simply and casually.

Alice stood silent for a moment before she shouted. ”No objection? Your son fucked your daughter, and now sheʼs carrying his child—and you have no objection?”

She took a step forward. ”How can you stand there so... unbothered by this? What kind of mother are you?”

Regina met Aliceʼs gaze with a calm intensity that sent a chill down her spine. ”A mother who trusts her children,” she replied. ”They know what theyʼre doing. This is their choice, and I will stand by them.”

Alice flinched, her mind refusing to accept what her ears had heard. ”Trust? This—this isnʼt about trust, Regina! Itʼs about right and wrong! Itʼs about—”

Regina raised a hand, silencing her. ”Enough, Alice.”

Alice could not remain silent. ”Weʼre talking about incest, Regina. Do you even hear yourself? This is wrong. Itʼs beyond wrong—itʼs monstrous!”

Regina raised an eyebrow. ”Whatʼs wrong with it?”

Alice stumbled back, her legs threatening to give up as the weight of Reginaʼs words crashed into her. ”What… did you just say?” she whispered, as though hoping she had misheard.

Reginaʼs gaze didnʼt falter. ”I said, Whatʼs wrong with it? Julian and Eleanor made their choice. They love each other. Who are we to judge?”

Her words were like a slap to Alice, ”Who are we to judge—?” She choked on the words.

”Regina, have you lost your mind? This isnʼt just some... forbidden romance! This is a betrayal of blood, of family, of decency!”
