Heroine Creation: All My Summons Are Custom Made

Instantly, her demeanor shifted from devoted friend back to the Ironwill of Mortality. She violently shoved the hammer upward, throwing the massive Orc King off balance.

In the same fluid motion, she spun like a golden top, and she spun the Blessed Blade with her, cleaving the infested air.

A localized wave of condensed kinetic Will erupted from the blade, slamming into the Orc King’s chest and sending the fifteen-foot behemoth staggering backward with a choked grunt.

Once Astensia’s feet touched the ground, she planted those silver greaves firmly in the dirt, leveled her greatsword horizontally with both hands, and pointed the tip directly at the monster’s heart.

”Glorious Sword Projection!” she yelled.

Then came a deafening blast of pure, holy energy. And with it, the Blessed Blade elongated.

A massive, ethereal projection of the golden sword—fifty feet long and blindingly bright—shot forward.

Just as the Orc King raised its hammer to try and swing again, the giant golden blade pierced cleanly through its thick iron breastplate, incinerating its heart, and burst out the other side.

The Orc King’s eyes rolled back. It let out one final, gurgling sigh, fell backward, and slammed into the baked earth with a tremor that shook the entire canyon.

The Dungeon Hall descended into a crazy, euphoric bedlam. The ”Dull Rank” and his impossible summon had just one-shotted the boss of the most dangerous Higher Dungeon.

Inside the gorge, the beautiful, chiming melody of the system filled Lancet’s ears. The golden screen blinked into his vision, like it too was excited to reveal Lancet’s gains.

⸢ Ultra Kill! One Shot bonus activated! ⸥

⸢ Orc King killed by Heroine, Astensia ⸥

⸢ Astensia has gained +3000 EXP ⸥

⸢ You have gained +6000 EXP ⸥

⸢ You have gained 2000 CP ⸥

Lancet stared at the rewards with bulged out eyes. That was definitely more than he thought he was going to get! And it was all because of Astensia!

Did she somehow know that one-shotting a Boss would give him a major bonus? Is that why she had done it?

He already knew the answers to his questions, his excitement, his thrill just couldn’t stop him from asking them.

When his vision cleared, he stopped cold.

Astensia was kneeling in the red dirt before him. Her head was bowed in perfect, absolute reverence. In her outstretched, gauntleted hands, she offered him a pulsing, glowing red mass.

⸢ The Orc King’s Heart ⸥

⸢ B-Grade Item - Edible ⸥

”Is she kneeling to him?” a stunned Specialist whispered in the Dungeon Hall. ”A Platinum Legend... kneeling to him?!”

Phiodor Blaze’s brows were so creased, they could’ve gotten stuck that way.

Lancet stared at the beating heart.

The main loot. It had actually dropped. He had been right. In replicated Academy Dungeons, the loot wasn’t replicated, except the Main Loot of the Dungeon that only regenerated once every three to five years, depending on the Dungeon’s Rank.

Slowly, Lancet reached out, his hands trembling slightly, and took the warm, pulsing item.

⸢ The Orc King’s Heart ⸥

⸢ B-Grade Item - Edible ⸥

⸢ Description: When consumed, it permanently increased the user’s present magic retention by exactly five times ⸥

Lancet’s current Grace cap was a pathetic 250 MP. With this, he would instantly jump to 1250 MP.

It wasn’t protagonist-level yet, but it was enough to completely change his survival odds. It meant he wouldn’t be constantly dry after anchoring a single Summon.

It meant he could keep Astensia summoned for longer.

”Thank you,” Lancet said softly, his voice thick with genuine emotion. ”Thank you for getting this for me, Astensia.”

He carefully stored the Heart in his system inventory. He looked down at his interface. His Grace was hovering at a critical 10 MP.

”You’re going to be fading off pretty soon,” Lancet noted with a bittersweet tone.

Astensia stood up gracefully, dust falling off her armored knee. ”What do we do until then?”

Lancet looked back down the long, winding canyon, where a tiny, heavily armored figure was currently sprinting toward them at top speed.

”Maybe wait until Renan shows up,” Lancet smirked. ”Should be here any second now.”

Astensia threw her head back and let out a bright, ringing laugh.

They both sat down on the cracked earth, leaning against the cold iron of the Orc King’s discarded hammer.

”This was fun,” Astensia sighed happily, looking up at the hazy sky. ”I truly enjoyed my time again.”

”It was,” Lancet agreed, resting his arms on his knees. He looked at her sideways. ”If I could keep you anchored here always... I would.”

Astensia smiled softly, turning her head to meet his gaze. ”It is fine, Master. I trust you. I know you will summon me again, and I will get to see your face.”

They sat in comfortable, charged silence for a long moment, simply looking at each other as the Dungeon’s ambient heat began to cool.

”Good news, though,” Lancet suddenly said, perking up. ”I think I finally have enough power to summon another Heroine. So you won’t be so lonely in the Summon Space.”

Astensia’s eyes widened in genuine delight. ”Really? That is great news! Who do you plan to summon?”

Lancet tapped his chin. ”It’s a secret.”

Internally, Lancet’s Architect brain was already spiraling.

What would actually happen if I told her I was making Thor? She wouldn’t recognize the name because Thor doesn’t exist yet. But the second I hit ’Create’, Thor’s retroactive backstory implies they’ve existed in the same lore.

Would Astensia’s memories instantly rewrite themselves to recognize her? Would it cause a temporal paradox in her head?

Lancet shuddered slightly. Hah. Yeah, I definitely don’t want to test that out. Ever.

⸢ Warning: Grace Depleted. Summon will now return to Summon Space ⸥

The red system notification flashed in his vision. At the same time, Astensia’s greaves began to dissolve into floating motes of golden light.

”Looks like it’s bye for now,” Lancet said softly.

Astensia smiled, her form becoming translucent. ”See you soon, Master.”

”You too,” Lancet smiled back.

With a final, warm flash of gold, she vanished completely.

Exactly three seconds later, Renan Falconhart burst into the clearing, panting heavily, his silver sword drawn and ready for an epic boss fight.

He slid to a halt, looking wildly around the empty throne room, at the dead Orc King, and finally at Lancet, who was just sitting casually on the dirt.

”What happened?!” Renan gasped, trying to catch his breath.

Lancet slowly stood up, brushing the dust off his uniform. ”You took too long. Astensia killed the boss.”

Renan’s shoulders slumped. ”That canyon was... significantly longer than I thought.” He looked around the clearing again, his silver eyes searching desperately. ”Where is she?”

”My Grace finished,” Lancet shrugged indifferently. ”So she’s gone.”

Before Renan could even process his disappointment, a pillar of blue light descended from the hazy sky, enveloping them both.

Lancet looked at his hands as they began to turn into blue pixels for the extraction.

”Looks like so are we,” he smirked.
