All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human

Chapter 733: Chapter 733: She Has a Pair of Zombie Parents (29)

Ruan Xian handed the notebook to Qiann Yan. With the increase in level, his writing speed had improved significantly, and his handwriting was now quite neat.

[In the high school I was managing, two days before the apocalypse, many teachers reported that students had persistent high fevers and were sent to the hospital. At that time, we found the situation suspicious and intended to investigate whether it was food-related or something else affecting the students’ health. However, before we could thoroughly investigate, the apocalypse arrived.]

Finally, it was Dou Huai’s notebook. Although there weren’t many words, the information was substantial.

[I’ve heard my parents say that they indeed received data from all over the country indicating that many children had persistent high fevers. The cause was still being investigated at the time. Later, when the apocalypse arrived, my parents and their colleagues realized that this was a precursor to the apocalypse.]

”All children too?” Qiann Yan asked.

Dou Huai nodded, then picked up the notebook to write:

[Given the current conditions, we can no longer investigate why it was all children. But I can confirm that the data I saw at the time was indeed about children, specifically dating back to a week before the apocalypse.]

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have gathered so much data so quickly.

”Boss, are you wondering if this apocalypse was man-made or a natural disaster?” Wuo Xuanfei asked.

Qiann Yan lightly nodded: ”But these details don’t matter now; resolving it early is the important part. Let’s first catch a zombie for research.”

Upon saying this, Ruan Xian, Ning Lanxin, and Dou Huai all looked at her simultaneously.

In terms of what it feels like to be stared at by three pairs of dead fish eyes, Qiann Yan felt nothing, but she still added: ”Not you guys.”

Wuo Xuanfei’s eyes filled with a bit of laughter; the boss herself might not have noticed how tolerant she was of these zombies.

Qiann Yan looked around the group, realizing that she was the only suitable one to capture zombies.

For someone in her position, to have to personally catch zombies, maybe it could be a chance to research what awakening superpowers was all about.

She glanced over Zhang Xiaodong and Wuo Xuanfei; there were two ordinary people ready for study.

Qiann Yan exited the carriage. As Wuo Xuanfei and Zhang Xiaodong were wondering why the boss gave them a strange look, she returned.

”Dongzi, drive the car; there are no zombies here anymore.”

Zhang Xiaodong was somewhat at a loss; those zombies that everyone feared seemed insignificant to the boss.

Each time he saw the boss fighting zombies, he felt it was like a wolf among a flock of sheep.

”They’re leaving,” Luu XiaoYuee stood up. ”We should follow; safety in numbers.”

Actually, there was no need for her to explain further. Zhou Shuo and the others thought the same. Seeing such a powerful superpower user as Qiann Yan, who wouldn’t want to follow her to the base safely?

After all, their team, including the Luu Family Siblings, didn’t even total ten people. Now that the level of zombies was getting higher and higher, if they encountered a vast swarm, once they exhausted their energy, they would be left with no choice but death.

Qiann Yan didn’t pay attention to the people following; Zhang Xiaodong and Wuo Xuanfei weren’t the talkative type.

In the current situation, if people wanted to follow, there was nothing they could do.

Still sitting in the back seat of the car, there was a pile of documents next to her, all taken from Dou Huai’s bag.

She was looking at a hypothesis Dou Huai made based on research: indeed, everyone in this world was infected, with the lucky ones becoming superpower users, the unlucky turning into zombies, and a remaining part staying the same as before.

This hypothesis intrigued her. When slowly examining it further, many things seemed to make sense.
