All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human

Chapter 487: Chapter 487: Terminally Ill Heiress on Death Game Island (Part 3)

Nearby her, someone couldn’t help but vomit.

These people struggling to adapt all came in with her.

The original host was deeply troubled because of an incurable terminal illness. Her fiancé, Jing XiYuaan, decided to take her out to relax, and accompanying them were her friends Fang Qing and Lu Shanyang.

They only remembered feeling the wind on the sea, and when they woke up, they found themselves on this island, assigned numbered badges, and informed they had to play games here.

Qiann Yan glanced at the badge on her right arm, R63.

Jing XiYuaan sitting next to her was R64, Fang Qing R65, and Lu Shanyang R66.

Fang Qing was bent over, vomiting uncontrollably, as if trying to empty his entire stomach, his face even paler than Qiann Yan’s sickly complexion, clearly unable to handle the cruel scene from earlier.

Lu Shanyang and Jing XiYuaan were slightly better off, but their faces were ashen, devoid of blood. Their entire bodies were tense, eyes filled with fear, legs shaking, without any strength.

”What kind of place is this, why are there such perverse games, what are we supposed to do?”

Fang Qing, having mostly vomited, asked tearfully. Even the most naive among them knew they might have to participate in these games.

The tragic area from earlier had been cleaned up, and now there stood another player, continuing with the monotonous game. However, this time there were only three cages, making the challenge somewhat easier than before.

Qiann Yan looked down at the booklet in her hand and said, ”When we came to the island, those people handed out a player handbook. Fang Qing, take a look through it, it should have some information.”

Everyone reacted, hurriedly flipping through the booklet stored in their bags.

The booklet was green, with several conspicuous words on the cover: Death Game Island Handbook.

As the name suggests, this is an island for playing life-threatening games.

On the island, from Monday to Friday, people are randomly selected to play games, and each person is selected at least once a week.

Saturday and Sunday are rest days, where players have free activities, using points earned from overcoming challenges to exchange for things they like, and enjoy life.

The game is simple: guess which cage is empty.

Guessing the empty cage means passing the game safely, with no danger, and earning points based on the game’s star difficulty level. The higher the difficulty, the more points earned.

The game difficulty is divided into five levels, from One Star to Five Stars.

One Star has 3 cages, Two Stars have 5 cages, Three Stars have 7 cages, Four Stars have 9 cages, Five Stars have 11 cages.

When playing the game, you can choose to team up with others or go it alone.

If you team up, your teammates can stand above the cages and see whether the cage is dangerous, and decide whether to inform the player of the truth. If you don’t have enough teammates, you can choose to randomly select other players to join, or not.

And here’s where the difficulty lies.

These people, when informing players about the cage conditions, might face temptations or obstacles, making them potentially lie.

Just like the man who died earlier. His friend, not wanting to increase the difficulty of the game by two stars, chose to lie, telling him the cage with the tiger was safe. Not only did this avoid increasing the game’s difficulty, but if the other person believed him, it could also earn rewards.

This is the perverse nature of the game: no matter how trustworthy people are, being in the game for a long time, who can guarantee they won’t succumb to temptation and threats every time?

Whether it’s temptation or threats, it can easily expose the darkest side of human nature.

The longer you live here, the more terrifying it becomes.
