All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human

Chapter 108: Chapter 108: Real World: Attending Court

The real world.

Great Rong Country Palace.

Qiann Yan was dressed and assisted by the Palace Attendant, her beautiful eyes gazing at the huge and clear mirror before her.

This was obtained from the hands of a conqueror. Although she bore scars from the fire on her face, she did not fear looking in the mirror. Having been reborn countless times, she calmly faced all this.

The hair crown worn by the person in the mirror was exquisite and noble, fitting well with the dark imperial robes embroidered with gold threads, and the silver mask on her face added to her mystery.

She appeared to be thirteen or fourteen years old. If nothing unexpected happened, this lifetime should remain unchanged, neither aging nor growing.

She composed herself and made her way to Jinluan Hall.

Jinluan Hall.

Qiann Yan leaned lightly against the chair, her gaze coldly sweeping over the ministers below: ”Speak swiftly if you have matters to discuss, otherwise dismiss the court.”

Upon hearing Qiann Yan’s words, the ministers stood out one by one.

”Your Majesty, this year the north has experienced drought for three consecutive months. The people’s harvest has been reduced by more than half, and it is possible they may harvest nothing at all. We implore Your Majesty to exempt the taxes for the affected areas in the north for one year.”

”Approved, exempt for two years.”

”Thank Your Majesty, Your Majesty is wise, long live Your Majesty.” The ministers, moved to tears, bowed heavily before stepping aside.

”Your Majesty, I have a memorial to present,” another minister stepped forward, wearing a serious expression, ”Your Majesty, the Prime Minister is late again. I believe he should be punished. As the Prime Minister of a country, he openly disregards Your Majesty...”

”Do you know why he is late?” Qiann Yan interrupted.

The minister was taken aback by the question: ”I do not know, but being late ultimately...”

”Reporting without knowing? If you love tattling so much, go back and reflect on your flaws. Return when you’ve thought it through.”

The Prime Minister was someone she recruited for his talent, just with a minor flaw.

”Your Majesty...” The minister wanted to say more but was unceremoniously thrown out by the guards.

”If any of you have the Prime Minister’s skills, you may be late as well.”

The ministers dared not respond; none could compare to that prodigy. The newly appointed folks were meant to be rubbed a bit.

”Your Majesty, previously when the north suffered drought, I believe constructing temples for the people to pray for blessings would also...” This minister, sensing Qiann Yan’s gaze, sneaked a glance and saw her faint smile, feeling a jolt in his heart.

The seasoned ministers thought: Ah, this newly appointed one also seeks to be rubbed by the Emperor.

”Mr. Zhou, reconsider how to proceed,” Qiann Yan’s cold words fell.

Mr. Zhou’s cheeks trembled, sweat covering his forehead: ”It is due to my insufficient consideration, I’ll reconsider upon returning.”

”I have a solution here; donate the money intended for temple construction to disaster relief for the affected people. It’s quicker than building temples to worship gods. A year on earth is a day in heaven; the mortal world’s people cannot wait. Mr. Zhou, this task is entrusted to you.”

Mr. Zhou knelt on the ground, wishing he could slap himself twice. Could he say no?

”I have some items here for the Ministry of Industry to examine.” Qiann Yan passed down the blueprints; the designs for women’s undergarments had already been given to the Shangyi Bureau.

Until the court dispersed, the Prime Minister had not appeared. Qiann Yan instructed the Palace Attendant to inquire about her talent.

Before long, a Palace Attendant ran over, panting: ”Your Majesty, the Prime Minister is in a bad mood, uninterested in attending court.”

”Understood, go to the storeroom and select some interesting gifts for him. Have others cheer him up.”

”Yes.” The Palace Attendant was not surprised by this outcome, for who could surpass the Prime Minister’s unparalleled talent? Your Majesty also cherished talent, saying it’s normal for those with talent to have eccentric temperaments.
