A Foodie Transmigrated into the Palace

Before the person arrived, her voice was heard.

Honored Lady Luo heard a tender voice, it even sounded like a little girl, and she couldn’t help feeling suspicious.

She was just about to open her mouth and sneer a few words when she saw Yue Er walking out from the cobblestone path opposite the flowerbed.

She was dressed in a bright red brocade embroidered robe, on her feet were openwork multicolored brocade shoes inlaid with pearls, at her waist hung a warm emerald-green rectangular jade pendant, and on her forehead she wore the most exquisite Cat’s Eye Stone beaded tassel forehead ornament.

The little girl was high‑spirited and radiant, her bright eyes and white teeth lively and full of charm.

The noble air about her was entirely natural, making people not dare act rashly even if they didn’t know her identity.

Yue Er walked over at an unhurried pace.

After glancing at the wound on Ying Luo’s head, she calmly looked at Honored Lady Luo.

”This injury... was it caused by Honored Lady?”

Honored Lady Luo instantly perked up when she heard this and hurriedly said,

”It was this cheap maid who ran into me first!”

”If you are her mistress, you ought to punish her properly!”

Yue Er let out a cold laugh.

”My Palace Maid is injured like this, and I’m still supposed to punish her?”

”Of course!”

Honored Lady Luo replied impatiently.

”This maid is all thumbs. If she isn’t severely punished, who knows if she won’t bump into someone again next time!”

”By then, who knows which mistress it’ll be, and whether she’ll be as easy‑going as I am!”

Yue Er took in her arrogant face and said nothing.

Only after a long moment did she speak coldly.

”You needn’t trouble yourself over this matter, Honored Lady!”

”Ying Luo, we’re leaving!”

With that, she turned to go.

Honored Lady Luo immediately grew displeased.

”You’re just going to leave like this?” Without even an apology?

Yue Er turned her head and gave her a fierce glare.

There was an indescribable chill and threat in that gaze, enough to make Honored Lady Luo not dare utter another word.

Seeing how frightened she was, Yue Er snorted coldly, flicked her sleeve, and left.

Honored Lady Luo stood there dumbfounded for quite a while before she came back to herself.

She stewed in regret for a bit, then also took her people and left.

The green brocade she had just put on had ended up like this, and her hairdo was ruined; how could she still stroll in the garden?

Seething, she returned to Xifu Palace.

While ordering someone to bring water so she could tidy herself up, she also instructed that someone go find a Female Doctor to treat Xiao Ge.

She was busy until noon before everything was finally settled.

After lunch, Honored Lady Luo lounged on the cool couch in the room to escape the heat.

She couldn’t help asking,

”Who exactly was that little girl today? She was really something!”

Xiao Ge had long since sent someone to inquire, and by now had already received the news.

”To answer Mistress, that was the Fourth Princess!”

”The Fourth Princess?”

Honored Lady Luo narrowed her eyes.

”The Fourth Princess born of the Empress herself?”

”No wonder she acted so overbearing!”

Xiao Ge thought for a moment and added,

”Mistress, everyone in the Harem knows the Fourth Princess is not to be trifled with!”

”We offended her today, will it...”

Honored Lady Luo’s apricot eyes widened.

”So what?”

Back when she and the Emperor were together, let alone the Fourth Princess, even The Eldest Princess hadn’t been born yet.

Perhaps it was because she had been favored lately.

She had actually developed the illusion that she was already a consort of higher rank.

She kept feeling that in this Harem, everyone ought to show her respect.

After all, a first‑ or second‑rank consort title should have long since been in her pocket.

After being so humble for so many years,

and suddenly leaping over so many obstacles to achieve her ideal,

she lost her sense of proportion all at once, and her whole person swelled with arrogance beyond measure.

Xiao Ge was somewhat worried.

”But everyone says it’s better to offend the Empress than the Fourth Princess!”

”Mistress, how about... we go and make amends?”

Honored Lady Luo’s brows slanted upward.

”No!”

”No matter what, I will never apologize!”

Xiao Ge tried to persuade her for a long time and still got nowhere, so she stopped talking.

...

On the other side.

After returning to the palace, Yue Er looked at the ”wound” on Ying Luo’s head, which was still bleeding.

She was just about to call for an Imperial Physician.

Unexpectedly, Ying Luo suddenly gave a sly chuckle and started wiping away the blood with a handkerchief.

As she wiped, she grumbled,

”This chicken blood doesn’t look quite right. I’ll try another kind of blood next time!”

Yue Er was speechless when she heard that, then let out a breath of relief.

”I thought you were really hurt; you scared me!”

Ying Luo rolled her eyes.

”With those two idiots, they’re worthy of injuring me? I even feel it’s a waste to use chicken blood on them!”

After speaking, she suddenly leaned close to Yue Er and asked mysteriously,

”So, how was the groundwork I laid?”

”Now they’re clearly in the wrong!”

”You can go and make trouble openly and aboveboard!”

Yue Er waved her hand helplessly.

”You’ve already said everything there is to say; what else can I add?”

”But you mustn’t do this again next time!”
