A Foodie Transmigrated into the Palace

Chapter 853: Chapter 853: The Beauty Enters the City

Yang Chenyi and Ye Tang saw a beauty entering the city.

Finally, they reluctantly moved their gaze away from those few horses.

They’re all men, of course they love beauties!

Ye Tang stated: Women also love beauties, alright!

If you don’t look, you’re missing out, so along with all the brothers of the Great Chu, they ogled at the little beauty intensely!

But as they stared, Yang Chenyi suddenly felt something was off.

He looked at that Commandery Princess, then at Ye Tang beside him.

Looked at the Commandery Princess again, then at Ye Tang again.

He extended his hand, pinched his four fingers together, and tried to cover the lower half of Ye Tang’s face.

He looked again, and his eyes instantly brightened.

’They look so alike!’

’But, something seems off!’

’Wolflike eyes... don’t they all look like this!’

While he was still suspicious, Ye Tang looked over.

”What’s wrong? What are you looking at?”

Yang Chenyi quickly put down his hand.

”Nothing... nothing!”

Ye Tang sized him up and down with a glance, then loosened her knuckles as if to threaten.

”Are you going to say or not?”

These two mischiefs, get them together and they would never be calm, always itching to have a racket every time!

Yang Chenyi, helpless, had to confess.

”I think you look a lot like that beauty!”

Ye Tang: ”...”

Not hearing was fine, but upon hearing, it just made her angrier.

She took several deep breaths, suppressing her inner fury, then whispered fiercely in his ear.

”If it wasn’t... such a public place, I’d give you a beating!”

Yang Chenyi was even more helpless.

”You asked me to say it!”

”If you don’t believe it, look yourself, it’s the same wolflike eyes, isn’t it quite similar!”

Ye Tang initially thought he was joking with her.

Hearing his words, she quickly looked over too.

She stared carefully at the woman’s face, examining it closely.

”Wow, Yang Chenyi, you’re right, it really is quite similar!”

Yang Chenyi nodded vigorously.

”I told you, didn’t I!”

Ye Tang suddenly changed her tone again.

”But... all wolflike eyes in the world look like this, right?”

Otherwise, why call them wolflike eyes!

Yang Chenyi: ”...”

”You’re right too!”

Ye Tang mocked as she patted his shoulder.

”Enough, enough, don’t worry about that, the procession is almost here, let’s go!”

”Hmm!”

The two troublemakers, after a round of jabbing at each other, didn’t start a fight or break up, and once again opened the road to friendship!

Little Seventh up front turned his head to glance at them.

The two quickly lowered their heads and sped up their pace.

Only then did Little Seventh turn back satisfied.

Inwardly, he was secretly laughing:

These two guys, who knows what sort of tricks they’re playing behind my back!

When things settle down, I’ll find them for a drink!

Although Zhao Junyan was honored as the Seventh Prince, because they shared the same interests, he didn’t disdain the backgrounds of Ye Tang and Yang Chenyi.

Instead, he was very willing to be with them.

Especially with Ye Tang.

Even though her background wasn’t great, this lady could be called remarkable.

With a straightforward character, unrestrained by trivial matters, highly skilled in martial arts, she was even more pleasing to be around than men.

After spending time together, they all became great friends.

However, due to their duties, the two were often together more often.

And it was somewhat inconvenient for him to leave the palace.

So, they were often seen bickering and play-fighting together.

Every time he saw it, it always made him laugh.

Unfortunately, this time he couldn’t.

So he just gave them a glance of ridicule and then quickly turned his head.

Up ahead.

The delegation from Western Xia was already before them.

The Fifth Prince and the Seventh Prince headed the procession, with ministers by their side.

Everyone exchanged greetings and pleasantries, thus completing the formalities.

After the greetings.

King Hai Zhentian of Western Xia, clad in animal skins and bones, adorned with large golden rings and various strange beads, dismounted and began introducing himself.

”I am King Hai Zhentian of Western Xia! Great Chu Dynasty’s national power is strong, being the land of abundant resources and the Central Plains’ nation of etiquette, our Western Xia has long heard of it!”

”This visit of ours is mainly for the friendship between the two countries!”

”To show our sincerity, we from Western Xia have brought over a dozen carts of precious gifts as a present, hoping the Great Chu Dynasty will not disdain them!”

After speaking, he introduced the people beside him.

”This is my half-brother, Prince Jin, this is my younger son, Hai Yue, and this is my niece, Prince Jin’s only daughter, Hai Feng!”

”Please be accommodating!”

Relying on his seniority and the highest status, the Fifth Prince stepped forward and pompously said.

”Thank you, King of Western Xia, for your effort; we have already prepared the guest house, please move there!”

”After your long journey, you can take a rest first; in the evening, our Emperor is hosting a banquet in the palace, and we will inform you then!”

The Seventh Prince saw that Fifth Prince had said all there was to be said.

He himself had nothing more to say, so he just followed behind, making a gesture of invitation!

Elder Statesman Liang glanced at Fifth Master, disdain flashing through his eyes, and quickly stepped forward.

”Please!”

The King of Western Xia chuckled without saying anything further, and just followed along.

It was Prince Jin, with a strong build, dark complexion, dense hair, piercing eyes, and a circle of glittering gold around his head.

He had all sorts of animal bones and gold ornaments hung around his waist on a coarse hemp rope, different from the smooth beads that the Western Xia King wore.

The things Prince Jin wore seemed oddly shaped and somewhat ferocious, making people afraid to look at him directly.

He pulled Elder Statesman Liang aside, asking roughly in not-so-fluent Central Plains dialect.

”Esteemed sir, why aren’t you introducing yourselves?”

His physique was extremely tall.

Elder Statesman Liang’s height barely reached his chest.

When Prince Jin leaned in, the various bones around his neck nearly hit Elder Statesman Liang’s face.

Even one with great presence like Elder Statesman Liang.

Was startled by the few animal skulls on his chest.

His face was slightly pale as he smiled forcefully.

After introducing the people in front of him one by one.

Only then did Prince Jin release him.

The woman in red coquettishly approached Prince Jin and said something in their language in a chirpy manner.

Prince Jin suddenly burst out laughing.

Then, he took his daughter and followed with large strides.

Up front, King Hai Zhentian, the Fifth Prince, and the Seventh Prince walked together.

They boarded the carriage prepared by the Great Chu Dynasty.

Prince Jin and that woman followed closely behind onto the second carriage.

And then the ministers took the third carriage.

Once everyone was gathered, the carriages set off.

Half a Shi Chen later, everyone reached the guesthouse near the Imperial Palace designated for foreign envoys!

The officials of the Ministry of Rites had long arranged people to wait there.

These were several courtyards connected together, surrounded by water, with a tranquil environment.

The Western Xia Kingdom had no such good environment, and they were all visibly amazed.

Especially that Princess, though she wore a veil, her bouncy figure moved like a flame, flitting before everyone’s eyes.

”Wow!”

”It’s really beautiful here!”

”Father!”

”Father!”

”I want to stay... in that courtyard!”

”No, that one!”

She tugged at Prince Jin’s hand, like a lively bird, chirping away, looking around eagerly.
