Fate-Defying Demon Emperor

”Hmm?”

Su Han sensed something and looked down at his wrist, where he saw a nearly invisible, hair-thin line of blood.

This bloodline was faint and elusive. It was neither painful nor itchy; he felt no sensation from it at all. If not for Su Han’s keen Divine Sense, he might not have even noticed it.

What is this?

Puzzled, Su Han immediately tried to erase it with Demonic Qi and Divine Sense, but all his attempts failed.

Not knowing what the bloodline was, Su Han had no choice but to suppress his doubts for the moment. He quickly found a secluded valley and descended into it.

There were Dragon Qi Demon Beasts in this valley as well, but Su Han quickly dealt with them. The Dragon Qi Demon Beasts in the outer region generally only possessed the strength of the Divine Power Realm and were not particularly powerful. Now that Su Han had also broken through to the Divine Power Realm, dealing with them was naturally even easier.

He took out the Array Plate, inscribed the Formation Pattern, and soon set up a Breath Concealment Formation within the valley.

After activating the Breath Concealment Formation, Su Han noticed that the bloodline on his wrist had dimmed significantly, though unfortunately, it had not completely disappeared.

I must save Zhang Xiaowan first!

Ignoring the mysterious bloodline, Su Han had already collected one hundred Dragon Blood Herbs and one hundred strands of Dragon Qi. It was also the last day of the one-month deadline, so he dared not waste any more time.

However, before saving Zhang Xiaowan, Su Han needed to awaken the Great Majestic Demon King. After all, the Demon King had been the one to teach him this method. With his guidance, the chances of success would be higher.

WHOOSH!

With a grasp of his hand, he retrieved Jing Yun’s corpse from the Bronze Ring. Its massive, three-hundred-meter body was like a mountain of flesh. Moreover, Jing Yun’s skin was extremely thick, like a city wall, and could not be damaged by ordinary means.

However, Su Han’s Black Blade was unaffected. The Demonic Patterns on the blade lit up, and the Bloodthirsty Demonic Flame immediately blazed to life, landing upon Jing Yun’s body.

Hissing sounds rang out as the Bloodthirsty Demonic Flame rapidly incinerated Jing Yun’s corpse, breaking it down into pure energy to be absorbed and refined.

In less than a quarter of an hour, Jing Yun’s massive body had completely vanished, leaving behind only a thick layer of bone ash.

Jing Yun’s flesh and blood energy was far more abundant than Zhao Ming’s. Soon enough, the Great Majestic Demon King awoke from his seal once again.

”Such rich flesh and blood energy. Did you kill that Jing Yun?”

The Great Majestic Demon King was taken aback when he sensed the sheer immensity of the energy. This vast amount was enough to keep him awake for a long time. Even if he lent Su Han his power for Demonization, he could maintain it for much longer.

”Great Majestic Demon King, let’s save Zhang Xiaowan first. I have collected all the Dragon Blood Herbs and Dragon Qi. What should I do next?” Su Han urged, more concerned about Zhang Xiaowan’s safety.

The Great Majestic Demon King knew of Su Han’s urgency and did not dawdle. He promptly explained the method.

”Her Qi-Blood is severely drained, so she cannot handle a massive infusion of supplements; it would likely backfire. You must help her by refining one Dragon Blood Herb and one strand of Dragon Qi at a time, repeating the process a hundred times. This way, her Qi-Blood should recover without any side effects.”

”Once her Qi-Blood is restored, use your Divine Sense to enter her sea of consciousness. Remove the Yin Spirit Qi and nourish her Divine Sense, and she will be able to wake up fully recovered.”

Hearing the Great Majestic Demon King’s method, Su Han acted quickly. He took out a Dragon Blood Herb, infused its Dragon Blood Force into Zhang Xiaowan’s body, and then used a strand of Dragon Qi to help her absorb and refine it.

A life was on the line, allowing for no negligence. Su Han did not rush, instead observing Zhang Xiaowan’s condition to adjust the frequency of the infusions.

Gradually, Zhang Xiaowan’s pale complexion regained its rosy hue, and her icy body grew warm once more.

In the end, Zhang Xiaowan’s expression looked normal, as if she were merely asleep.

PHEW!

Taking a deep breath, Su Han began to gather his Divine Sense, entering Zhang Xiaowan’s sea of consciousness to help her dispel the Yin Spirit Qi and nourish her Divine Sense.

Three hours later, Su Han withdrew his Divine Sense. His face was pale and he was covered in cold sweat, his black clothes soaked through. Clearly, the process had taken a massive toll on his Heart Spirit.

”Nnngh...”

A faint sound escaped Zhang Xiaowan’s lips. Her eyelids, which had been shut for so long, trembled slightly and slowly fluttered open.

”Where... am I?”

Zhang Xiaowan had a splitting headache and found her surroundings unfamiliar. But soon, she saw Su Han and remembered what had happened before she fell unconscious.

”Little Su Su, are you okay? What about the assassin?” Zhang Xiaowan only remembered being ambushed and pushing Su Han out of the way before she was seriously injured and lost consciousness.

”Everything’s fine now. I’ve already killed the assassin.”

Su Han helped Zhang Xiaowan sit up. He finally breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that her injuries were completely healed.

He then briefly described his journey to Dragon Blood Mountain to gather the Dragon Blood Herbs and Dragon Qi to revive her. However, he omitted some of the more exciting details. Although Zhang Xiaowan was not a bad person, he had offended both the Xiao Family and the Jing Tribe, so it was better not to get her involved.

”Little Su Su, you’re so good to me! I want to have your babies!”

Moved by Su Han’s words, Zhang Xiaowan’s eyes brimmed with tears, and she was on the verge of crying. Her words, however, were still rather flippant.

”Hm? What’s this?”

Suddenly, Zhang Xiaowan noticed the abnormality on Su Han’s wrist.

Su Han did not hide anything and explained how the bloodline had appeared.

”Wait, this looks familiar. Let me think.”

Zhang Xiaowan’s expression turned serious. She pondered for a moment, and her eyes soon lit up with recollection.

”I remember now! This is the Bloody Pursuit Technique! It’s one of Di Yuan’s methods!”

Di Yuan?

Su Han frowned slightly. The name was unfamiliar to him. He looked at Zhang Xiaowan, waiting for her to continue.

”Di Yuan is a follower of the Tian Luo Saint!”

With that one sentence, Zhang Xiaowan made Su Han understand their adversary’s identity and the nature of their conflict.

”The Tian Luo Saint has five followers, and Di Yuan is one of them. Moreover, he’s a Semi-Demon and possesses some techniques of the Demon Race. This Bloody Pursuit Technique is one of them. You must have left a trace of your blood somewhere. He must have found it and is using this secret technique to track you.”

”Di Yuan is at the Third Layer of the Heavenly King Realm. He is also bloodthirsty and murderous. If he finds us, we will both struggle to escape alive. The only way now is to head to the central region. The Dragon’s Might is stronger there, and there are more perilous lands. We might have a chance to shake him off.”

Zhang Xiaowan analyzed the situation quickly, offering Su Han a course of action.

At that moment, Su Han took out the Nine Palace Golden Pagoda, hoping to conceal them with its Holy Might, but he found the effect to be minimal. It seemed this Bloody Pursuit Technique was indeed troublesome.

Furthermore, a Third-Layer Heavenly King Realm expert like Di Yuan would be difficult to deal with. It seemed he would need to find a place to set up the Nine Palaces Bagua Formation and kill Di Yuan, just as he had done with Xuan Song.

With this in mind, Su Han agreed to Zhang Xiaowan’s suggestion. Soon, the two of them left the valley and headed toward the central region.

Tian Luo Saint, you’re like a ghost that just won’t go away!
