Invincible Beyond Heavens: Cultivating With A Broken EXP System

”I can increase its strength if I use Five Elements Wind and Thunder Sword together with Five Element Intent.”

Li Yun muttered softly, so he was not worried about that either.

”Hm?”

Just then, Li Yun’s gaze landed on a large tree ahead, and a look of surprise appeared in his eyes.

Only now did he discover that the flow of time around this large tree seemed completely different from the outside world.

The grass near its roots grew rapidly, withered just as quickly, then recovered again after a short while. This process repeated again and again, forming a strange cycle of life and decay.

The large tree swayed gently.

The leaves on its branches continuously turned yellow and withered, then became emerald green and full of vitality once more.

It was as though spring, summer, autumn, and winter were flowing across this tree at the same time.

Gradually, the gently swaying tree seemed to form a bottomless vortex.

Under the influence of that vortex, Li Yun’s soul was slowly drawn into it. His gaze became distant, and an incomparably magnificent scene suddenly appeared before his eyes.

He seemed to have arrived in the depths of the universe.

Before him was a grand and brilliant world.

That world was extremely prosperous and filled with countless experts. Some could split mountains with a wave of their hands. Some could overturn oceans with a single step. Some could change heaven and earth with only a thought.

It was a glorious age.

But no glory could last forever.

Eventually, a great upheaval descended upon that world.

Countless experts fell. The blood of kings and emperors splattered across the land. Palaces collapsed, mountains shattered, seas dried up, and the sky itself seemed to crack apart.

In the end, the once brilliant world declined completely.

Only howling winds and violent lightning remained.

That wind was not ordinary wind.

It was a wind that destroyed all things, tearing apart mountains, rivers, flesh, souls, and even the laws that supported the world.

That lightning was also not ordinary lightning.

It was divine thunder filled with world-ending power, descending again and again like heavenly punishment.

Wind and thunder intertwined.

The Five Elements collapsed.

The earth shattered.

The oceans evaporated.

The flames devoured the sky.

The forests turned to ash.

Even metal mountains were ground into nothingness.

Finally, under the constant destruction of wind and thunder, the entire world collapsed.

Everything sank inward.

The broken world formed a terrifying black hole.

After that came countless years of silence.

Lonely time flowed through the darkness. There was no life, no sound, no light, and no hope. Everything seemed to have reached the absolute end.

But after an unknown amount of time, a faint wisp of Origin power gradually emerged within the black hole.

That Origin power was weak at first.

Then it slowly grew stronger.

It transformed into the power of the Five Elements.

Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth appeared once more.

The Five Elements supported one another, restrained one another, and gradually formed a complete cycle.

From the Five Elements, wind and thunder were born again.

From wind and thunder, heaven and earth were opened once more.

A new world was created.

Life appeared again.

Humans were born again.

Experts rose again.

The destroyed world had returned to its Origin, and from that Origin, a new cycle had begun.

”So that is how it is.”

At this moment, sudden realization dawned in Li Yun’s heart.

He finally understood.

The Five Elements were not merely five separate powers. They were a cycle, a foundation, and the origin of countless transformations.

When the Five Elements evolved to a certain level, they could give birth to wind and thunder.

When wind and thunder reached their limit, they could form destruction.

When destruction reached its extreme, everything would collapse and return to nothingness.

But nothingness was not the true end.

Within the depths of collapse, Origin would be born again.

Origin would once again evolve into the Five Elements, and the Five Elements would once again create heaven, earth, wind, thunder, life, and civilization.

This was a cycle.

This was the true evolutionary direction of the Dao of the Five Elements.

At that moment, the Five Element Intent inside Li Yun’s body began to tremble violently.

Originally, his comprehension of Five Element Intent had only reached a deep but incomplete level. Although he could already use it to strengthen Five Elements Wind and Thunder Sword, he had not truly understood its complete path.

But now, after witnessing the birth, prosperity, destruction, collapse, and rebirth of a world, his comprehension of the Five Elements suddenly deepened.

Metal was no longer merely sharpness.

Wood was no longer merely vitality.

Water was no longer merely flow.

Fire was no longer merely burning.

Earth was no longer merely heaviness.

Each element had its own nature, but each element was also connected to the others. They were not isolated powers. They were parts of a complete cycle.

The Five Elements could nurture life.

The Five Elements could also evolve into destruction.

Boom!

An invisible aura erupted from Li Yun’s body.

Five-colored light appeared around him. At first, the colors were separate, but soon, they began circulating smoothly. Gold, green, blue, red, and yellow flowed into one another, forming an endless cycle around him.

His Five Element Intent had broken through.

Xiantian Stage.

Twenty percent mastery.

The moment his Five Element Intent entered the Xiantian Stage, the surrounding spiritual energy seemed to become much clearer to Li Yun.

He could sense the traces of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth in the world around him.

Even the seemingly ordinary grass, soil, wind, and moisture carried the rhythm of the Five Elements.

Li Yun’s eyes shone brightly.

The breakthrough of his Five Element Intent did not simply increase the strength of Five Elements Wind and Thunder Sword.

More importantly, it allowed him to touch the deeper path hidden beyond the Five Elements.

Wind and thunder.

Destruction.

Origin.

The moment he understood this cycle, a faint pitch-black aura suddenly appeared within the five-colored light around him.

It was extremely weak.

It was only a single trace.

But the moment it appeared, the surrounding air became terrifyingly still.

This was not Slaughter Intent.

It was not Immortal Sword Intent either.

It was a different kind of power.

A power that represented collapse, annihilation, and the return of all things to nothingness.

Destruction Intent.
