I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

After reading the report on the portable computer, everyone in the tavern sank into various states of contemplation...

An incident of this magnitude could truly affect many people.

”How many council members are there in the Federation Council?”

Loren broke the silence in the tavern, asking the question that weighed most on his mind.

”Based on historical news reports, there should be thirty-three,” Cook P. Jones said in a low voice.

At that moment, Miss Silver Dragon gently shook her head.

”No, not that many.”

”According to speculation, some mysterious beings who joined the Federation Council quietly withdraw after a period of time.”

”The actual number of council members in the Federation Council has always been a mystery.”

Having said this, Miss Silver Dragon turned to look at Loren and spoke slowly:”For instance, the mysterious leader who led the Nature Sect into the Federation is widely guessed by the Dragon race to be Moonlight Goddess’s alt.”

”After the Natural Environment Protection Act was passed, that figure never appeared again. It felt more like a special transaction.”

”And there are quite a few council members like that who are temporary...”

As Miss Silver Dragon revealed this secret, both Loren and Cook P. Jones sank into varying degrees of contemplation.

It was Brute Bloodhoof behind the bar who nodded in agreement instead.

”Mm! That’s right!”

”During past shareholder meetings, the Tavern Founder mentioned once that the Federation keeps the actual number of council members a mystery to maintain a certain level of deterrence.”

The Minotaur bartender’s honest words made Loren and Cook P. Jones both look up and exchange glances.

The expressions in their eyes kept shifting.

As if they were constantly transmitting some kind of information.

”Does the Illusionary Night’s Dream shareholder meeting cover secrets of this level?”

”No idea. You became a shareholder before I did!”

”Want to come pull a job with me?”

”Nah, I’m staying here to develop the Cook Merchant Guild!”

”What a shame...”

”Yeah, maybe next time!”

The exchange between their eyes roughly conveyed the above information.

After learning that Cook P. Jones didn’t plan to leave the Beastkin Star Domain, Loren reluctantly rose from his barstool.

He gently tilted his neck, turned to look at the tall, graceful figure beside him, and asked with a smile:

”Miss Jessistan, does your teleportation array support cross-star-domain travel?”

Upon hearing this, Miss Silver Dragon’s mouth twitched.

You! Bullying a dragon!

You really think of me as a free driver?!

Hmph!

Federal Calendar 7709, January 1st, evening.

Dusk Star Domain.

Old era Resource Planet - Number Seventeen.

Clear Mine City, Lower District.

Gray Zone. The gloomy sky above that ”Street of Sin” suddenly lit up with a massive silver magical array.

This meant...

On this planet, mockingly called the ”Rotten Star” by the world, as dusk fell, it welcomed two special visitors.

To be precise, one was a wandering son returning from afar, and the other was a special dragon visitor...

Throughout Clear Mine City, whether residents of the Upper District or the Lower District, everyone looked up at the same moment, gazing at the magical ”miracle” in the gloomy sky.

It was a silver magical array that was gradually expanding.

Those complex runes symbolizing magic formed this mysterious array.

Its coverage area kept growing with the passage of time...

A commotion laced with unknown panic began.

Some low-rank Superhumans who didn’t know what this was quickly grabbed their families and fled to what they believed was the safest place—the Clear Mine City Interstellar Hunter Branch.

Meanwhile, more knowledgeable low-rank and mid-rank Superhumans furrowed their brows as they stared at the dazzling array in the sky.

Naturally, this included the branch chief of the Interstellar Hunter branch.

The silver-haired old man opened the window of his office, examined the sky with a complicated look in his eyes, and muttered to himself:

”At a time like this, what kind of Major Figure would be arriving?”

”Is it someone from the Resistance? Coming to occupy this Resource Planet?”

”They even want to occupy a godforsaken place like this?”

Then!

The silver-haired old man, who radiated a kind and benevolent aura, suddenly turned pale with disbelief!

He stared intently at the array in the sky, his pupils contracting instantly!

He saw a familiar figure!

A tall figure standing atop the head of a silver dragon!

It was a figure both familiar and utterly strange!

The next moment.

The silver-haired old man by the window spoke with a tone of melancholy and surprise.

”How did Loren come back?!”

”The intel said he was in the Beastkin Star Domain and just took down a Security Bureau big shot, didn’t it?”

”How does he have the time to come back?”

”No! What’s he back for?!”

The silver-haired old man slapped his forehead, as if he had figured something out!

”Crap! Something big is about to happen!!”

Realizing something, he quickly ran behind his desk, pulled a special red communicator from a drawer, and hurriedly made a call!

”Hey! Secretary!”

”Just now, Loren came back!”

The silver-haired old man quickly reported what he had seen.

After he finished speaking, an eerie silence came from the other end of the red communicator.

Clearly, the other party hadn’t expected Loren to choose this particular time to return either...

Two seconds later.

A helpless female voice finally came from the communicator:

”Sigh...”

”Let him do what he wants. At a time like this, there should be no one free enough to stop him...”

The call ended.

The silver-haired old man looked at the communicator in his hand and shook his head with a bitter smile.

”No one free enough to stop him?”

”Well, that really...”

His words trailed off. He quickly closed his eyes and began to ponder one thing:

What should he, the branch chief of the Hunter Association on this remote planet, do next...

As the person who personally recommended Loren to the Interstellar Hunter Association, this silver-haired old man was probably the one who best understood Loren’s modus operandi!

That guy Loren, going out of his way to return from the Beastkin Star Domain, definitely didn’t just come back to take a look...

And he brought back a suffocating dragon with him...

Let him do what he wants?

Tch, I’m afraid he’ll blow up this whole planet!

The silver-haired old man opened his eyes with a bitter smile, quickly walked out of his office, and arrived at the Star Realm Hunter Branch’s commission hall!

He directly used his authority as branch chief to send a command to all the Interstellar Hunters under him:

”All Interstellar Hunters in the association, starting now!”

”Cease accepting commissions!”

”The association is entering silent mode. Resume time is undetermined!”

”Here’s my advice: anyone who can leave this planet should do so immediately.”

”Loren is back...”
