The Number One Star in the Interstellar Era

Chapter 780: A GIFT TO FANS

ASTRID laughed when he read Wulfric’s post. This guy always went way over the top with everything he posted about him, acting like the ultimate fan. That’s why the comments on his posts were either people who loved the exaggeration or people who couldn’t stand him for it.

As proof, Astrid scrolled down to read the comments under Wulfric’s post.

- Haha as expected of Brother Wolf. Your posts are always the best!

└ The best? It’s cringe. Are all of Astrid’s fans like this?

└└ What’s wrong with loving our idol?

└└ Not all Starlights are like that. Some of us still have common sense.

- Ugh... here comes the delusional fan who thinks Astrid can do no wrong.

└ LOL seriously. His fans are so off-putting. It’s why I can’t fully get behind him.

└└ If you base your support on the artist’s fans, then you’re the one who’s lost the plot.

└ But Aster really can’t do any wrong. So, what’s your point?

- Brother Wolf, is the fandom planning another viewing party for this movie?

Astrid read the last comment about the viewing party. Since [The Shadow Within] was an independent film, it would only show in a limited number of theaters. It probably wouldn’t even be released on planets far from the capital. The number of theaters would be even smaller than for [Serendipitous Summer].

A viewing party or two would be good for the movie. But he was worried it might put a financial strain on the fan club. Not only that, what if people started expecting the fan club to organize a viewing party for every single one of his movies from now on? Doing it for Serendipitous Summer made sense because it was his first lead role. But doing it for every film after that would be too much. What if they missed organizing one for a future movie? People might think his fans didn’t support him at all.

So, it was better not to start that tradition. Instead, Astrid tried to think of something else he could do for his fans that would also help more people see the movie.

After thinking about it for a while, he finally video called Ellis. She answered almost immediately.

”Hi, Sister Ellis,” he said. ”Are you busy right now?”

Ellis raised an eyebrow at him. ”For you, I’m always free. So, what’s going on?”

”I was just thinking...” he began.

Then, he explained his idea to her.

Polaris v: [Starlights! Are you excited for Astrid’s new movie? If you are, you’re in luck. Astrid has prepared a special gift for everyone who watches on opening day. You can’t just get it by saying you’re a fan, though. You have to pass a quiz first. If you pass, you will get a unique code. Each code can only be used once. Before you go into the theater, just show your code and your ticket at the special booth that will be set up at any theater showing . Good luck, Starlights!]

*link of the quiz*

- What is this? I’ve never seen an actor do something like this before.

- Wow... is this real? I’m taking the quiz right now!

- This is so cool. Being a Starlight really is the best. I can’t wait to see what the surprise is.

- LOL is Polaris trying to bribe people into watching their artist’s movie now?

└ Right? Maybe the movie isn’t good, so they have to do stuff like this.

└└ If you’re not a Starlight, then keep your comments to yourself.

└└└ Exactly! This is for Starlights only! Outsiders shouldn’t talk, especially if you’re not even planning to watch it.

└ I don’t mind this kind of bribe at all. Please bribe us more often, Polaris!

Starlights for Aster (@muscledbubblegum): [On behalf of all Starlights, we want to thank Aster for his love and care for his fans. We were actually planning another viewing party to show our support. But I was personally contacted by Aster’s agent, who told me Aster was worried that this might become a financial burden for us. Can you believe how amazing it is that our actor cares about us that much? So, I had to agree to stop the plan. Instead, as a way to support him, we Starlights have decided to do a ticket giveaway for ! Just repost this, and we’ll pick the winners two days before the movie premieres.]

- Aww... Aster, we love you!

- We should all work hard so we can keep supporting Aster the way he deserves.

└ Are you serious? Working hard just to spend your money on an actor? You people are starting to sound like a cult.

└└ What, so it’s wrong to support your favorite artist now?

└└ This is a Starlight space. What is a tourist like you even doing here?

- Honestly, this is getting a bit much. It feels like we’re being guilt-tripped into spending money.

└ No one is forcing you to do anything. If you can’t or don’t want to participate, that’s fine. Just don’t spoil it for the rest of us who are excited.

└ Wait, you’re not even a Starlight, are you? Don’t try to stir up trouble here!

- I’m so excited to see the movie!

While the other Starlights were busy talking online, a certain number one fan was busy taking the quiz from the link Polaris had posted.

Wulfric was completely focused on the screen of his Terminal. He wanted to get a code so he could get the special gift when he watched the movie. He was determined to get a perfect score. If he couldn’t, then he might as well give up his title as Aster’s number one fan.

[What was the first role Aster filmed after he moved to the capital?]

Wulfric scoffed. This was a trick question, clearly. Aster’s first appearance had been in [Blind Justice], but that wasn’t the first role he had filmed. The first was the god in [The Sleeping God]. So, he quickly typed in his answer. After he entered it, the word Correct appeared on the screen.
