Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1417: Chapter 898: Cloud Wild Alliance, Fiery Flame Hall

”By the way, I found out the identities of those two people today!” Yun Xiao’s tone shifted as he spoke.

”Who are they?” Yang Zhenshan’s expression turned serious, and he asked.

”Those two are named Xu Mingzhu and Zhou Tu. Xu Mingzhu, late-stage Foundation Establishment, is one of the seven Hall Masters of the Cloud Wild Alliance. He heads the Fiery Flame Hall, mainly responsible for hunting mutant beasts and demon beasts in the wild!”

”Zhou Tu, mid-stage Foundation Establishment, is the Vice Hall Master of the Fiery Flame Hall. Both of them joined the Cloud Wild Alliance forty years ago, and it’s rumored that Xu Mingzhu is ruthless, with a cruel nature that terrifies countless loose cultivators!”

Yun Xiao spoke softly.

Yang Zhenshan nodded slightly, ”They’re originally rogue cultivators, so their actions are naturally ruthless!”

The Cloud Wild Alliance is a loose coalition of forces, but it also has some core strength within, namely the Five Alliance Elders and the Seven Hall Masters.

The Five Alliance Elders represent five Immortal Cultivation Families, the local powers of White Cloud Immortal City, while the Seven Hall Masters are powerful experts among the loose cultivators.

For Xu Mingzhu to hold the position of Hall Master of the Fiery Flame Hall indicates that his strength is certainly formidable.

This is understandable, as nearly fifty years ago, Xu Mingzhu had already reached mid-stage Foundation Establishment, with exceptionally strong abilities. If Yang Zhenshan didn’t possess the ability to teleport, he wouldn’t be able to contend with him at all.

”Since they’re out for revenge against me, they can’t blame me for taking their lives!” Yang Zhenshan said coldly.

”What do you plan to do?” Yun Xiao asked.

”Hmph, there are too many restrictions within the city, so it’s hard to target them. It’s better to lure them out of the city!” Yang Zhenshan replied.

”Xu Mingzhu controls the Fiery Flame Hall, and he has quite a few Foundation Establishment cultivators under his command! If you plan to confront them head-on, you’d better be fully prepared!” Yun Xiao advised.

Yang Zhenshan nodded slightly, ”Of course! I never fight battles without assurance!”

The Cloud Wild Alliance is very powerful. In terms of the number of Foundation Establishment cultivators, the Cloud Wild Alliance can easily overwhelm the Sea of Spirit and the Qingli Six Families.

But he is not facing the entire Cloud Wild Alliance, only the Fiery Flame Hall, one of its seven halls.

It’s just the Fiery Flame Hall, not enough to deter Yang Zhenshan.

He is wary of the Cloud Wild Alliance, but he definitely won’t restrain himself just because of its strength.

Moreover, now that he’s joined the Ten Thousand Treasures Store, with it as his backing, even if he destroys Xu Mingzhu’s Fiery Flame Hall, the Cloud Wild Alliance can’t do much to him.

”At that time, I’ll need your help, senior!” Yang Zhenshan said.

Yun Xiao nodded slightly, ”Of course, but I still want to remind you, be cautious. Since you’ve joined the Ten Thousand Treasures Store, there’s no need to risk it!”

Yang Zhenshan knew his advice was well-intentioned, and he smiled, ”Don’t worry, senior, I have a plan!”

”Senior, stay here for a few days. Once I’ve arranged everything, I’ll come for you!”

Afterward, he changed his appearance and quietly left Spring and Summer Square, returning to his residence at the Ten Thousand Treasures Store.

The Ten Thousand Treasures Store also has an intelligence-gathering department, and the information it possesses is the most comprehensive and in-depth in White Cloud Immortal City.

Yang Zhenshan, as a Ninth Grade Guest Elder, accessed the Cloud Wild Alliance’s intelligence from the Ten Thousand Treasures Store.

This is also a perk that the Ten Thousand Treasures Store provides to its Guest Elders; certain pieces of less confidential information can be accessed by them at any time.

After reviewing the dossiers on the Cloud Wild Alliance provided by the Ten Thousand Treasures Store, Yang Zhenshan came to a simple conclusion.

The Cloud Wild Alliance is fragmented.

On the surface, it seems very powerful, but internally, there’s relentless infighting.

The Five Alliance Elders represent five Immortal Cultivation Families, between which there are many conflicts of interest, while the Seven Hall Masters are skilled experts among loose cultivators, a group of rebellious and unyielding individuals.

Even someone like Xu Mingzhu, a rogue cultivator, can achieve a Hall Master position within the Cloud Wild Alliance, indicating the kind of people in the alliance.

With such a group together, internal conflict is inevitable.

However, the strength of the Five Immortal Cultivation Families is immense, and all of them have more or less connections with the White Cloud True Monarch, enabling them to maintain the Cloud Wild Alliance’s surface stability.

Ultimately, the Cloud Wild Alliance is under the control of the White Cloud True Monarch, and their conflicts are all allowed by him, possibly even supported by the traditions of the White Cloud True Monarch.

The so-called tradition of the White Cloud True Monarch refers to his disciples.

The White Cloud True Monarch naturally doesn’t concern himself with these trivial matters. The affairs of White Cloud Immortal City, big and small, are actually managed by his disciples.

For Yang Zhenshan, the fact that the Cloud Wild Alliance is fragmented is certainly a good thing.

This means that even if he cripples the Fiery Flame Hall, the Cloud Wild Alliance likely won’t relentlessly pursue him.

After understanding the situation of the Cloud Wild Alliance and the strength of the Fiery Flame Hall, Yang Zhenshan began preparations for the upcoming battle.

He couldn’t face the Fiery Flame Hall alone.

Let alone the Fiery Flame Hall; he didn’t have the confidence to take down Xu Mingzhu and Zhou Tu by himself.

Therefore, he needed some help.

Xuanzhen, Yang Jizhen, Bai Xiaoyun, along with Yun Xiao and himself, would total five Foundation Establishment cultivators. Although their strength still didn’t match up to the Fiery Flame Hall, they had some confidence to confront it.

Besides allies, Yang Zhenshan also prepared some other items.

He was preparing for the upcoming battle, while occasionally making appearances at Spring and Summer Square.

During his preparations, Xu Mingzhu and Zhou Tu were also discussing how to trouble him.

”Big brother, that guy has done nothing these days except for visiting the Ten Thousand Treasures Store twice; he’s been staying in the residence at Spring and Summer Square!” Zhou Tu said.
