Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1370: Chapter 876: Illusion Moon Sect Leadership

Three days later.

In the study at the Spiritual Spring Mountain Plateau, Yang Zhenshan looked at the intelligence reports delivered by the Secret Martial Guards, his expression growing increasingly grave.

The developments in Lotus Heart Valley far exceeded his expectations, and the power Zhang Mo wielded was beyond his guesses.

After the siege of Lotus Heart Valley, Liu Zai Xian sent out a plea for help, and the Lan family and Yu family, being the closest, dispatched aid immediately.

However, the Foundation Establishment cultivators from these two families were intercepted and killed on the way and never reached Lotus Heart Valley.

Three hours after Lotus Heart Valley was besieged, Zhang Mo broke through the Guardian Array of the valley, completely demolishing this bustling workshop.

Within Lotus Heart Valley, the majority of the over ten thousand cultivators perished, with only a few lucky ones escaping the valley.

Simultaneously, the Lin family’s territory was attacked by Zhang Mo’s ghost soldiers and blood puppets, massacring thousands of clan members, and Lin Zhensong, a Foundation Establishment cultivator, was killed.

As Lotus Heart Valley was falling, the Chen, Yan, Liu, and Lin families’ reinforcements arrived successively, and both sides fought a fierce battle outside the valley, ultimately repelling Zhang Mo.

Rather than saying Zhang Mo was repelled, it would be more accurate to say he chose to retreat.

Throughout the process, the Qingli Six Families were led by the nose by Zhang Mo, falling step by step into his traps. In the end, Zhang Mo escaped unscathed, and his power did not suffer significant damage.

Through this battle, the Qingli Six Families lost six Foundation Establishment cultivators: Lin Zhensong and Lin Wanli from the Lin family, the ancestor of the Lan family, the ancestor of the Yu family, and later the supporting Foundation Establishment cultivators from the Yan and Chen families.

Liu Zai Xian was seriously injured and narrowly escaped death.

Such an outcome was beyond many people’s expectations.

Looking at the report in his hand, Yang Zhenshan exhaled a long sigh, ”Trouble!”

The heavy casualties among the Qingli Six Families plunged the Qingli Dynasty into a perilous situation.

Zhang Mo’s plan clearly wouldn’t stop here; his next strategy would be simple: defeat them individually.

If the Qingli Six Families couldn’t mount an effective counterattack, the Qingli Dynasty would soon fall into Zhang Mo’s hands.

As for the way the Unpredictable Ghost Sect’s Yin Soul Bureau operates, once Zhang Mo dealt with the Qingli Six Families, what would his next target be?

The Sea of Spirit or Nether Prison Sect?

This time, Zhang Mo utilized at least fifteen Foundation Establishment cultivators and nearly a thousand late-stage Qi Refining cultivators, such terrifying power that neither the Sea of Spirit nor the Nether Prison Sect could withstand.

Moreover, once Zhang Mo annihilated the Qingli Six Families, his power would further increase.

Compared to him, Mo Xuanyu was merely a minor player, hardly qualified to be Blood Pool Steward of the Yin Soul Bureau alongside him.

”Grandfather, if Zhang Mo’s development continues unchecked, the Sea of Spirit might not be preserved!” Yang Chengye said softly, standing in front of the desk.

Yang Zhenshan nodded slightly, ”Zhang Mo certainly won’t spare the Sea of Spirit!”

Although the Sea of Spirit is a gathering place for Martial Artists, there are also many who can craft ghost soldiers and blood puppets in the Sea of Spirit.

In the face of Foundation Establishment immortal cultivators, Golden Body Realm martial artists aren’t entirely without the power to retaliate.

Yang Zhenshan is adept at Divine Soul attacks, which is why Mo Xuanyu’s blood puppets seemed vulnerable, but if other Foundation Establishment cultivators who aren’t skilled in Divine Soul attacks were in his place, they couldn’t easily destroy several Golden Body Realm martial artists.

Compared to late-stage Qi Refining cultivators, the Sea of Spirit undoubtedly has more Heavenly Gang Stage martial artists.

These Heavenly Gang Stage martial artists can serve as cannon fodder. Their strength may be weaker, but their numbers are vast enough, and the Sea of Spirit could muster about ten thousand Heavenly Gang Stage martial artists.

Therefore, Zhang Mo certainly won’t spare the Sea of Spirit.

”Should we do something?” Yang Chengye asked.

Currently, the Spirit Source Land has fully established itself in the Sea of Spirit, not only having a territory of its own but also reaching a tacit agreement with the Three Sects of Spirit.

Today, the Spirit Source Land is considered part of the Sea of Spirit, naturally unable to allow Zhang Mo to ravage it.

”When the sky falls, tall people will bear it; now is not the time for us to take center stage!” Yang Zhenshan stroked his beard and said.

The Three Sects of Spirit are the true masters of the Sea of Spirit. If Zhang Mo really intends to attack the Sea of Spirit, it should be the Three Sects of Spirit leading the resistance.

Moreover, the current situation isn’t solely the Sea of Spirit’s issue.

Zhang Mo’s threat isn’t just directed at the Sea of Spirit but also at the Nether Prison Sect, the remaining power of the Qingli Dynasty, and Hidden Sword Mountain concealed within the Yunxiao Mountain Range.

Even the Yun Que Clan and White Cloud Immortal City in the Yunxiao Mountain Range might be drawn in.

The Yun Que Clan is indeed of the Demon Clan, but they are the true rulers of the western part of the Yunxiao Mountain Range. Zhang Mo’s actions will also impact them.

Don’t assume that the Yun Que Clan, being of the Demon Clan, are on the opposing side of the Human Clan’s forces; in reality, the Demon Clan are also a wise race. With wisdom comes understanding of what is beneficial or harmful.

The Yun Que Clan has little connection with the forces on the Sea of Spirit, but they do maintain close relationships with certain Human Clan immortal cultivation forces.

For example, White Cloud Immortal City. It is said many mutant beasts from the White Cloud Commerce come from the Yun Que Clan.

And would White Cloud Immortal City be willing to see Zhang Mo stirring up trouble in the western part of the Yunxiao Mountain Range?

Of course not, White Cloud Immortal City has interests in Lotus Heart Valley too. In fact, when Lotus Heart Valley was destroyed, some members of the White Cloud Commerce fell victim to Zhang Mo.

So would White Cloud Immortal City aid the Qingli Dynasty?

”Have the Secret Martial Guards keep an eye on the Qingli Dynasty; if there are any changes, inform me immediately!” Yang Zhenshan said to Yang Chengye.
