Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1519 Whatʼs The Plan?

Wang Wei and Wu Hong sat facing each other while looking at a cube between them. They were playing Civilization Chess. Wang Wei chose to make a race of vampires, or humans with blood manipulation abilities. In response, Wu Hong chose a civilization of werewolves, half-human and half-wolf-demon races. They enjoyed themselves as they enacted this eternal battle between those two warring races.

”Really? A seal that targets all blood abilities?” Wang Wei said.

”I havenʼt broken any rules,” she replied. He shook his head before making his move. Since she wanted to target the essence of his civilization, he would do the same for hers. Wang Wei tasked someone to develop a virus that nullified all demon bloods.

”You never told me what happened to the foundation techniques?” he asked.

”You mean the techniques which were your idea, but you left all the work for me to do?”

”I promised Iʼll make it up to you,” Wang Wei swftly said.

”I wonʼt let you forget these words,” Wu Hong snorted before answering the question. ”Itʼs completed.”

”Already?”

”At first, I was going to invent them one after the other, starting with the Tenth to the Thirteenth. However, I figured it would be best to create the [Thirteen Transcendent Foundation], and people who failed in completing it, if they have enough talent, can achieve the lesser versions.”

”That makes sense,” Wang Wei nodded. If someone fails at cultivating this technique, they could still achieve the Twelve Ultimate Foundation, the Eleven Hegemony Foundation, and even the Ten Supremacy Foundation.

”How does the technique work?”

Wu Hong did not immediately answer. She waved her hand to materialize three items: a golden orb, a red crystal, and a blue light. Wang Wei observed and identified them: ”A Divinity Core, this crystal should be the purest essence from the exchange list, and that light reminded me of the power from the Grand Dao Source. Is the essence of the technique Spirit, Essence, and Qi?”

”Thatʼs right. The Divinity Core represents the highest and purest form of soul energy. The Pure Essence is the purest essence of the flesh, and I took time to purify the power of the Grand Dao Source to represent the Qi aspect,” Wu Hong nodded. Everything is connected, meaning that her technique perfectly matches the Quintessence Realm, which is a manifestation of her understanding of the universe.

”I was inspired by the concept of condensing the Three Flowers on the Crown,” Wu Hong continued. ”The cultivation process requires condensing three seeds of potential into the [Existence] based on a deep understanding of Spirit, Essence, and Qi. The seeds would not only grant a mortal combat power on par with Eternal Emperors, but also serve as a foundation to enter the Quintessence Realm.”

”So, the technique is now an official transcendent foundation like the [Perfection Method]?” Wang Wei asked.

”Do I need to absorb these materials, or just understand the knowledge they contain?”

”Both,” Wu Hong said before handing him the items. ”This is your share.”

”Iʼll accept them, but Iʼll pay you the merit for the Pure Essence,” Wang Wei said as he placed them away.

”Do you even have any merit left?”

”No, but Iʼm about to be rich again,” Wang Wei said. Wu Hong was about to ask when a talisman appeared before him. Wang Wei checked with his divine sense and smiled.

”What is it?”

”Information about the Stealers.”

”Kongʼs Shadow Agency? What do you need that for?”

”I plan to fuse them with my Fate Shadow Guards,” Wang Wei explained.

”Donʼt tell youʼre going to ask me to do your job for you again?”

”No, no, thatʼs Wang Ju, Red Mask, and Xie Huangʼs job,” Wang Wei replied. ”Once they have a prototype or a working technique, Iʼll review and improve it.”

Wu Hong stared at him.

”By the way, you never told me what your shadow agency is called?”

”They are called the Rune Observers. The core members are all Rune Lifeforms I have granted sentience, guaranteeing their loyalty.”

”Rune Observes — not a bad name. Whatʼs their specialty?” Wang Wei asked.

”There are a few arrays in the world that they cannot disarm or break,” Wu Hong explained, making Wang Weiʼs eyes lit up. ”Interested in incorporating our respective agencies?”

”No.”

”Why not?”

”Firstly, you are still in the stages of growing your agency — unless you swallowed the sectʼs existing foundation. Secondly, even if we marry, itʼs not good to do everything together or share all our assets. We can cooperate, but there is no need to fuse.”

”You have a point,” Wang Wei nodded. He had no plan to swallow the sectʼs agency since it did not belong to him, and he still needed to hand it over to the next Sect Master. Of course, he will use their infrastructure to help his Fate Shadow Guards reach the peak as soon as possible.

”Well, letʼs talk about something else. Iʼve never experienced Dao Re-establishment before. Do you have any advice?”

”The hardest part is the pain and sense of dread, but that should be no problem for you. However, Iʼd recommend you wait until your body reaches the peak to do it.”

”Is it because the imbalance might cause problems?”

”Yes. The process is basically forcing your body to a prior state — which is before you become an Immortal — modifying it, and ensuring the modifications guide the changes to your body as you return to your normal state.”

”I see. Wait, did you already re-establish your foundation?”

”How could I have enough time?”

”Thatʼs true,” Wang Wei nodded. She had to cultivate the Perfection Foundation and create the technique, leaving her without enough time to cultivate the technique. Wang Wei was about to say something else when he received a second talisman. His brow furrowed as he read the content.

”What is it?”

”Read it yourself.”

Wu Hong checked the content with her divine sense. ”Mortal Soul Legion? Itʼs not a bad idea.”

”Yes, but his plan is flawed. While the power of mortals can be utilized, it will also put a target on their backs.”

”Unless we can relocate all of them into protected dimensions,” Wu Hong said.

”An act that would require the Grand Assemblyʼs decision,” Wang Wei added. ”So, Kongʼs attempt to prevent othersʼ interference or sharing the pie is pointless.”

”We can remove everybodyʼs share if we give Maitreya a portion and use her name to introduce the proposition of relocating the mortals.”

”Look at you thinking like a greedy, capitalist businessman,” Wang Wei said proudly.

”Your greed has rubbed off on me, and Iʼm profoundly ashamed for allowing it to,” she rolled her eyes.

”Donʼt resist. Give in to your desires,” Wang Wei chuckled as he sent a talisman to Buddhism to explain the situation. He then sent one to Kong to explain their plans while also granting the latter access to the Void Illusion Realm.

”So, whatʼs the plan?” Wu Hong asked.

”For what?”

”For your training.”

”Oh, that. I have to visit the lower dimension, but immediately afterward, Iʼll enter seclusion again to cultivate my flesh. Once thatʼs completed, the next target is Primal.”

Wu Hong nodded. ”The Nurture Core is a fascinating material that Iʼve only unraveled a small part of its mystery. According to my calculation, this thing might accompany us for a long time in the Quintessence Realm.”

Wang Wei listened and did not interrupt.

”Iʼm testing my research on the twin, and once itʼs proven successful, I can use it in your Primal Training.”

”No problem. I can even enter my retreat here,” Wang Wei nodded. ”However, I may need another favor.”

”You wouldnʼt.”

”Listen to me. The Soul Technique is more than half done.”

”Why canʼt you finish it?”

”This is not just a retreat to cultivate my flesh. I was thinking of using this opportunity to deal with my past and even visit Earth through a projection,” Wang Wei swiftly explained. Wu Hong stared into his soul.

”I promise it wonʼt take you too much time.”

”Will you even have enough time? Only two more people need to agree, and the Grand Assembly will begin.”

”So, you also think the Innate Demon Gods will allow the Grand Assembly to take place?”

”Donʼt try to change the subject,” she sneered. Even without what happened to the temple, someone else would have called for an assembly to discuss the catastrophe.

”Those two things shouldnʼt take that long,” Wang Wei said. He only needed to review his memories after his death and before his reincarnation, deal with all the negative karma, and review all his life to see if he can find out what Time Nexuses are, and finally, heʼll send a projection to Earth to check on things and talk to Hongjun.

”Wait, I just realized I forgot to ask Maitreya about the Time Nexuses.”

”Didnʼt you remove the spiritual hint? No, even I forgot to ask.” The two looked at each other, letting the silence speak for itself.

”Iʼll try to find the answer myself, but if I fail, we must ask the next time we see her.”

”Iʼll put a mental note in my Sea of Consciousness,” Wu Hong nodded.

”So, about that favor?”

Wu Hong glared at him. ”Youʼre lucky that I think youʼre cute.”

”Thank you. I promise Iʼll make it up to you twice.”
