Wuxia: Starting Off With 60 Years of Inner Strength

Jiang Ran felt that every bit of Inner Strength from his Great Brahman Vajra Skill, cultivated to the equivalent of fifty-seven years, was absorbed by the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra the moment it was generated.

And after absorbing the Inner Strength of the Great Brahman Vajra Skill, the Inner Strength from the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra began to undergo a peculiar transformation.

At the same time, the verses for circulating the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra quietly surfaced in his mind.

Jiang Ran sat cross-legged as Gang Qi suddenly erupted from his body, gently lifting him from the bed.

He eventually hovered about half a foot above the bed, floating unsteadily.

The gale of Gang Qi swirled and transformed, resembling a turbulent sea of clouds, at times surging upward, at others, sinking low.

A faint golden light also pulsed from the surface of Jiang Ran’s body, vanishing as quickly as it appeared.

The reason for this was that after the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra absorbed the inner breath of the Great Brahman Vajra Skill, the two struggled to merge into one.

Simply put, it was a case of indigestion.

Jiang Ran’s mind raced. ’At this rate, if I can’t quell this turmoil, I’m afraid I’ll truly suffer from qi deviation.’

The circulation verses for the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra and the Great Brahman Vajra Skill cycled alternately through his mind.

It was as if they, too, were trying to merge into one.

As this thought occurred to him, a realization suddenly struck Jiang Ran.

’Could this be it...’

He immediately twisted his hand around and tapped a finger against the spot between his eyebrows.

Righteous Heart Finger!

It was a move to quiet his qi and calm his mind.

The next moment, his expression immediately calmed.

He reined in his scattered thoughts in an instant. Although there was no obvious change to the Gang Qi around him or the roiling inner breath within his body, they were much calmer than before.

Jiang Ran began to weave the two heart-arts together within his body, using Creation to guide Great Brahman, and his Righteous Heart to command the Vajra.

As his concentration deepened, his inner breath grew quietly stronger.

After nearly four hours of this, the Gang Qi around Jiang Ran’s body suddenly condensed and took form.

It formed the image of a Buddha Vajra draped in a Taoist robe, completely enveloping him.

There was no flashing golden light, only an essence of flowing wind and swirling clouds contained within.

And at the very instant this figure solidified, Jiang Ran’s eyes snapped open.

As he pressed both hands downward, the Gang Qi and the ethereal figure around him dissipated into nothing. His body slowly descended from mid-air and settled back onto the bed.

Only then did he let out a long sigh.

”Did I just... spin a cocoon to trap myself?”

Jiang Ran’s expression was odd—partly excited, partly bitter.

That moment had been incredibly dangerous. The slightest misstep would have resulted in qi deviation.

However, in the end, the cause wasn’t an incompatibility with the Buddhist Path.

It was because the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra couldn’t coexist with other forms of Inner Strength.

At least, that was how it appeared for the time being...

This was because for the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra to enter the eighth realm, it needed to be merged with other martial arts.

Back in the Valley of Rebirth, Jiang Ran had comprehended the third form of the Nine Shocking God Sabers.

And it had been compatible with his Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra.

This was the key to him breaking into the eighth realm of the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra.

However, at this level, to continue advancing the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra, one had to carefully select and absorb other martial arts, merging them into the technique itself.

Afterward, one didn’t need to practice the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra directly. One only had to focus wholeheartedly on cultivating the new, peerless technique, and the Inner Strength it generated would naturally be absorbed into the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra.

This would, in turn, advance the cultivation of the Sutra itself.

It was just that this particular point was not explained in detail in the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra’s manual.

There was only a single, ambiguous line as a hint.

Therefore, neither Jiang Ran nor any past practitioners of the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra knew of this.

Ever since the manual’s creation, it was estimated that the only ones who knew this secret were the original creator of this divine technique and that nameless old Taoist priest.

Otherwise, how could the priest have accomplished such a magnificent feat?

Jiang Ran’s case was different; he had drawn it as a reward, and the Great Brahman Vajra Skill naturally met the requirements.

The moment its inner breath was generated, it was directly absorbed.

And the crux of the problem lay precisely here.

If one chose to learn another peerless technique to merge into the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra, they would have to start from scratch, progressing step by step.

But where was the logic of gradual progress in a system reward like Jiang Ran’s?

Moreover, he had instantly raised the Great Brahman Vajra Skill to a level equivalent to fifty-seven years of practice.

Even if someone started training at the age of ten, that was tantamount to a lifetime of practice.

How could such an accumulation of power be underestimated?

As soon as this profound Inner Strength entered his body, the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra took it all in.

People say you can’t get fat from one bite, but the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra had done just that—and now it had indigestion.

Jiang Ran only understood the reasoning behind it all at the critical moment.

That was why he had used the Righteous Heart Finger to stabilize his mind, prevent his inner breath from running rampant, and shift it bit by bit to help it ’digest’.

It took four hours before he finally managed to completely stabilize the situation.

Even so, the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra was still far from the point of breaking through to the ninth realm.

’If I follow this logic, for the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra to reach a major stage of completion, it seems to require a ”three and nine” progression.’

’Three for the eighth realm, and nine for the ninth realm...’

’Based on my current progress, the third form of the Nine Shocking God Sabers was just the key to unlock the door to the eighth realm; it doesn’t count as being truly integrated.’

’The Great Brahman Vajra Skill is the first of the three for the eighth realm.’

’After this, I’ll have to absorb two more profound Inner Energy Cultivation Techniques to break through to the ninth realm.’

’And to reach Great Perfection from the ninth realm, I’ll need to integrate nine peerless techniques...’

’This... No wonder the Creation’s Righteous Heart Sutra needs the two words ”Righteous Heart” to keep it suppressed.’

’Otherwise, with so many Inner Energy techniques being merged together, one would likely lose their mind in an instant.’

’Could the person who created this martial art back then really have cultivated it to its absolute peak within their lifetime?’

’That’s just outrageous!’
