I Grind to Martial Saint

”Of course... an Innate Grandmaster of the Spirit Sun Sect... I’ve heard so much about you. I’ve been wanting to test my skills against you for a long time.”

Han Yuan smiled as he walked out of the Wind and Thunder Temple.

”To think someone in the Gang Essence Realm wants to challenge an Innate Grandmaster... I must say, out of everyone I’ve ever met, you’re the boldest.”

”And also the most foolish.”

Yang Fanyu said, shaking his head.

”Then go ahead and kill me.”

”I hope you can manage it.”

A look of fervor appeared in Han Yuan’s eyes.

The Martial Dao is all about growing stronger by facing the strong.

He had prepared for this battle for a long time and was naturally thrilled.

Yang Fanyu and he arrived at a clearing in front of the Wind and Thunder Temple.

”I can see the hunger for the Martial Dao in your eyes.”

”Honestly, it’s rare to meet someone like you.”

”If you hadn’t killed Liang Tian, I wouldn’t kill you.”

”But he is dead... so you are fated to join him in the grave.”

Yang Fanyu said coolly.

”Liang Tian was too weak... He deserved to die at my hands.”

Han Yuan began to regulate his breathing.

Yang Fanyu was the first Innate Grandmaster he had ever faced, so he naturally had to get himself into peak condition.

”You go first... I will grant you the first three moves.”

Yang Fanyu didn’t take Han Yuan seriously at all, standing there casually.

BOOM!!!

A bolt of incandescent lightning suddenly tore through the sky.

The heavens abruptly opened up in a downpour.

Both men’s hair and clothes were instantly soaked.

But in reality, the rain had no effect on them whatsoever.

’Three moves...’

Han Yuan didn’t stand on ceremony.

He was already the underdog challenging a superior foe. Since his opponent was offering a handicap, he might as well use it to gauge just how strong Yang Fanyu truly was.

He settled into the stance of the Celestial Spirit Divine Fist, and a fierce, explosive aura began to rise from his body.

’This aura... Interesting...’

Yang Fanyu narrowed his eyes.

”Celestial Spirit·Gale!”

With a low cry, Han Yuan charged toward Yang Fanyu, his fist striking for his opponent’s face like a raging gale.

The punch altered the course of the falling rain, which was pulled along by the force of Han Yuan’s fist, caught in its slipstream.

For a moment, a tempest of wind and rain surged forward.

Yang Fanyu’s expression remained serene as he lightly extended a finger.

”Crimson Sun Finger!”

His finger instantly ignited, glowing like translucent Red Jade.

Wherever it passed, raindrops were incinerated, turning to white steam.

BAM!

Fist and finger collided.

Han Yuan felt his Fist Aura get torn to shreds by a scorching, focused power.

”Didn’t you say you’d grant me three moves?”

Han Yuan stumbled back a dozen steps.

A scorched black mark appeared on the back of his right hand.

”My boy, this is the Martial World! It’s all about deception and trickery!”

With a strange cry, Yang Fanyu pushed off with his legs, blurring into an afterimage as he shot toward Han Yuan.

He truly had intended to grant Han Yuan three moves.

But the sheer power of Han Yuan’s first punch had unsettled him.

If he had actually allowed the full three moves, he wouldn’t have been in any real danger, but he’d have certainly lost face.

And that was something Yang Fanyu could not accept.

He relentlessly jabbed with his Crimson Sun Finger, tracing crimson lines of fire in the air as he aimed for Han Yuan’s vital points.

Eyes, brow, throat, heart...

”Shameless old bastard!”

Han Yuan snorted. Activating his Great Demon Gang Essence, his frame swelled slightly as he met the attack head-on with the Celestial Spirit Divine Fist.

Instantly, a barrage of violent Fist Auras tore through the storm, clashing with the crimson lines of fire.

BANG! BANG! BANG!!!

The two figures clashed continuously in the downpour.

Yang Fanyu’s Crimson Sun Finger was indeed formidable, capable of shredding Han Yuan’s Fist Aura.

But he soon discovered that was the extent of its effect.

The man’s body was terrifyingly durable; even his Finger Power could do no more than leave a scorched mark on the skin.

”No wonder you were able to defeat Liang Tian.”

”Such terrifying Horizontal Training has indeed granted you strength far beyond that of a typical Gang Essence Realm expert.”

As Yang Fanyu spoke, he abruptly switched techniques. The Crimson Sun Finger transformed into the Red Sun Palm, his entire hand glowing like translucent Red Jade as he struck out with a palm wreathed in flames.

The change was so sudden that Han Yuan couldn’t react in time and took the palm strike square in the chest.

BAM!

The terrifying impact instantly blasted his clothes to shreds, and Han Yuan was sent flying back more than ten meters.

”Han Yuan, is that all you’ve got?”

Yang Fanyu grinned, unleashing a torrent of palm strikes that surged forward like a wildfire.

”Pathetic... Your Palm Force is barely enough to scratch an itch.”

With a low roar, Han Yuan finally drew his Dragon Sparrow Cloud-Splitting Saber and unleashed a terrifying slash of light.

Azure Heaven·Withered!

As he slashed, an aura of decay spread out, as if plunging the entire world into death.

Yang Fanyu hadn’t expected Han Yuan to be alive and kicking after taking a palm strike from him, seemingly completely unaffected.

Moreover, this terrifying blade light actually sent a tremor of unease through his heart.

”Red Sun Burning Heart!”

Yang Fanyu channeled his Innate Gang Qi, and his right palm struck out, blazing with the heat of a Red Flame.

A terrifying wave of flame surged outward, instantly incinerating all the rain and turning the area for dozens of meters around into a field of white mist.

BOOM~~

This time, the collision sent Han Yuan staggering back five or six steps from the Palm Force.

But for him, that was more than enough.

He swung the Dragon Sparrow Cloud-Splitting Saber again, slashing madly at Yang Fanyu.

The two began to trade blows in earnest.

Waves of surging flame spread out, incinerating the nearby plants despite the pouring rain.

The temperature became oppressively hot and stifling, making it difficult to breathe.

In addition, vicious streams of Sword Qi shot out in every direction, carving deep fissures into the ground.

From start to finish, Han Yuan was completely suppressed by Yang Fanyu.

The old man was truly worthy of the title Innate Grandmaster. The explosive power of his Innate True Qi was far more terrifying than the Great Demon Gang Essence. Furthermore, his ability to transition between techniques and his overall understanding of Martial Arts were clearly superior to Han Yuan’s, allowing him to frequently catch Han Yuan off guard.
