I Grind to Martial Saint

Han Yuan nodded. ”I really don’t understand... Why would Sect Leader Situ have such an idea?”

He had expected Situ Ya to yield.

But he never thought she would surrender so completely.

This was far beyond his expectations.

Situ Ya smiled. ”I may be just a woman, but I’d like to think I have some foresight.”

”In this day and age, the world is bound to descend into chaos. No one will be spared, and the Rain Flower Sect is no exception.”

”If the Rain Flower Sect is to survive, our only hope is to pledge allegiance to a figure like Director Han.”

Han Yuan smiled faintly. ”Is Sect Leader Situ betting the entire Rain Flower Sect on me?”

”That’s right.”

”With Director Han’s talent, forget becoming a Gang Essence Martial Artist—I fear even the Innate Realm won’t be your limit.”

”Besides, our Rain Flower Sect truly can’t afford to provoke you.”

”After weighing the pros and cons, betting on you is the best choice.”

Situ Ya said with complete candor.

Han Yuan had to admit that although Situ Ya was a woman, her decisiveness was truly extraordinary.

He said softly, ”Then it is settled.”

Han Yuan didn’t stay at the Rain Flower Sect for long. After discussing the specific details, he took his leave.

Situ Ya, along with a group of Elders and disciples, escorted him to the gates of the Rain Flower Sect.

Seeing this, the Martial World Wanderers were all stunned.

’When did their relationship become so harmonious?’

’Could it be that Han Yuan really fell for a honey trap?’

But of course, Han Yuan wasn’t about to explain anything. He mounted his horse and departed swiftly.

Situ Ya and the others watched until Han Yuan’s figure disappeared down the main road before turning back into the Sect.

As for the Martial World Wanderers who had come to watch, they were deeply disappointed.

The scene they had hoped to see never materialized.

Han Yuan hadn’t bathed the Rain Flower Sect in blood; it seemed the two sides had reached some sort of agreement.

And given Han Yuan’s typically overbearing and fierce style, the Rain Flower Sect must have promised him something significant for him to stay his hand.

”There was no good show at the Rain Flower Sect, but surely it won’t be the same at the Divine Fist Sect.”

”It’s hard to say... Han Yuan’s reputation is too great now.”

”Who cares? I’m bored anyway. Let’s go to the Divine Fist Sect and see what’s up.”

After Han Yuan left, the members of the Martial World gathered near the Rain Flower Sect’s gates quickly dispersed.

「Soon.」

The gates of the Rain Flower Sect returned to their usual tranquility.

「...」

「Divine Fist Sect.」

This was the strongest of the Three Major Sects, located in a forested mountain range in Black Stone County.

The disciples from this sect were all belligerent and quick to fight, often killing their opponents at the slightest provocation.

Although Han Yuan’s trip to the Rain Flower Sect had been a disappointment for onlookers, the people of the Martial World generally felt that his visit to the Divine Fist Sect would surely result in a clash of titans.

At this moment, in the main hall of the Divine Fist Sect, a group of Elders and the Sect Leader were gathered, discussing how to deal with Han Yuan’s impending visit.

”Shi Jian... you’ve fought Han Yuan before.”

”What do you think of his strength?”

an Elder asked.

”Terrifying... Even when he was in the Inner Qi Realm, his Qi Power was far beyond that of an ordinary person.”

”Now that he has advanced to the True Qi Realm, I’m afraid his Qi Power is even more frightening.”

Shi Jian said in a heavy voice, standing in the middle of the hall.

His words made the seated Elders frown.

”Sect Leader... Now that the Cyan Cloud Sect has been annihilated, and the Rain Flower Sect has most likely submitted to Han Yuan...”

”...of the Three Major Sects, we are the only one left.”

”Should we fight or make peace? We need you to make the decision.”

An Elder of the Divine Fist Sect looked toward the brawny man seated in the main seat.

The man had the back of a tiger and the waist of a bear, with a short beard and temples that bulged high.

His arms, in particular, were incredibly thick, with prominent knuckles, and seemed to contain infinite Divine Power.

He was the Sect Leader of the Divine Fist Sect, Wei Shiming.

His Iron Fists had dominated the Martial World of Cangshui County for over a decade, earning him a fearsome reputation.

Wei Shiming took a deep breath. ”Then it all depends on how strong Han Yuan really is.”

”Send out a message. I, Wei Shiming, wish to have a sparring match with Han Yuan.”

”If he can defeat me, the Divine Fist Sect will willingly submit to his command.”

Hearing Wei Shiming’s words, the Elders showed no surprise.

Having followed Wei Shiming for many years, they naturally understood their Sect Leader’s character.

Wei Shiming was obsessed with the Martial Dao and worshipped strength above all else. Of course he wouldn’t be like the Rain Flower Sect, submitting to Han Yuan’s command without a fight.

Therefore, fighting Han Yuan was the best option.

If Han Yuan defeated Wei Shiming, they would have nothing more to say and would have to submit.

If Wei Shiming defeated Han Yuan, the latter would have no choice but to leave in disgrace.

In the end, strength was all that mattered.

”Then I will go and spread the news at once.”

An Elder stood up.

”Go.”

Wei Shiming nodded.

「...」

「Soon.」

News that Wei Shiming of the Divine Fist Sect was going to have a martial arts contest with Han Yuan spread quickly.

「In an instant.」

Every member of the Martial World swarmed over, wanting to witness the earth-shattering battle between Han Yuan and Wei Shiming.

「Six days later.」

A large number of Martial World Wanderers had already gathered before the gates of the Divine Fist Sect to watch.

They didn’t have to wait long.

After half an incense stick’s time, Han Yuan appeared, leading his horse and walking slowly.

Shi Jian was already waiting at the gate, his gaze complex as he watched Han Yuan.

After his past defeat at Han Yuan’s hands, he had returned to the Sect and trained bitterly day and night, hoping to break through to the True Qi Realm and challenge Han Yuan again.

But to this day, he still hadn’t broken through and remained stuck in the Inner Qi Realm.

In the Cultivation of the Martial Dao, the gap between the Inner Qi Realm and the True Qi Realm was an insurmountable chasm for the average Martial Artist.

Even a genius like Shi Jian couldn’t break through in a short amount of time.

But Han Yuan had done it. And after breaking through to the True Qi Realm, he had slain numerous powerful enemies, become the Director of the Cangshui Celestial Observation Bureau, and now struck terror into all of Cangshui.

Not long ago, he had even crushed the Cyan Cloud Sect, and the Rain Flower Sect had submitted directly, not daring to oppose him.

Unwittingly, Shi Jian felt that he and Han Yuan were no longer opponents on the same level.

The man... had left him far, far behind.

Thinking of this, Shi Jian’s heart was naturally filled with complicated feelings.

He collected his thoughts and led a group of disciples out to greet Han Yuan.

”Shi Jian greets Director Han.”

Shi Jian said, cupping his fist.

”Shi Jian, long time no see.”

Han Yuan also had a deep impression of Shi Jian.

”It’s been half a year since we last parted, hasn’t it?”

Shi Jian calculated the time.

”About that.”

”After I beat your master, I’ll find you for a drink.”

Han Yuan said with a smile.

”It won’t be so easy to beat my master.”

Shi Jian shook his head.

”Haha, then just you watch.”

Han Yuan let out a loud laugh.

Shi Jian stopped with the pleasantries and led Han Yuan into the Divine Fist Sect.

After walking for about the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, they arrived at a spacious Martial Arts Plaza.

Hundreds of muscular Divine Fist disciples, clad in Martial Arts Uniforms, were lined up in two columns on either side of the plaza, their gazes all focused on the slowly approaching Han Yuan.

Wei Shiming, dressed in a black Martial Arts Uniform, stood in the center of the plaza with his hands clasped behind his back.

Seeing this, Han Yuan handed his horse’s reins to Shi Jian and calmly walked to a spot five meters in front of Wei Shiming.

”Greetings, Director Han.”

”Greetings, Sect Leader Wei.”

The two men cupped their fists in salute at the same time.
