BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

When Liu Xi arrived atop the fortress walls with Queen Medusa, Jia Xingtian immediately stepped aside, giving up his central position for him to take command.

Before Liu Xi’s eyes, the boundless armies of the Three Empires surged like dark clouds pressing upon the Black Mountain Fortress. In the skies above the allied forces, nearly thirty Dou Wang and Dou Huang experts hovered with wings of Dou Qi unfurled, surrounding Xie Bi Yan, Yan Luotian, and the Three Mulan Elders.

Xie Bi Yan leaned upon his scorpion-headed staff, his wrinkled brow furrowed deeply. He could sense the surging, fierce Dou Qi within Medusa’s body and muttered to himself, ”This woman… she’s troublesome.”

Yan Luotian, dressed in golden robes, let out a sharp laugh tinged with fury. ”Such arrogance! So, you’re Liu Xi. I’ve heard of your name — a 6th Tier Alchemist, yes? But since my Luo Yan Empire has resolved to erase the Jia Ma Empire from existence, your status means nothing. Even if you bring the Queen Medusa herself, you cannot alter your empire’s fate!”

The Three Mulan Elders, their azure robes embroidered with the totems of a lion, a tiger, and a bear, all showed faint irritation. The one with the lion pattern sneered coldly. ”Leave us all behind? Such bold words. When my brothers and I made our names across the continent, you were still sucking milk. A little talent and already so conceited — remember my words, boy, this time next year will mark the day of your memorial.”

Xie Bi Yan’s scorpion staff struck the ground with a dull thud, his voice calm yet brimming with authority. ”Enough nonsense. Let’s test strength instead. One of you handle that woman. The other will join me in slaying Jia Xingtian.”

As his cold words spread, both Yan Luotian and the Mulan Elders exchanged wary glances. Their alliance was far from one of mutual trust.

A lecherous grin curled upon Yan Luotian’s face. His gaze lingered hungrily on Medusa’s sinuous, alluring figure. ”Elder Xie, leave the woman to me. I’ll hold her off well enough… heh, to think such a beauty exists — if I could capture her alive and bring her back for my pleasure, that would truly be the bliss of the mortal world!”

The tiger-patterned Mulan Elder frowned at this arrangement, clearly displeased. Joining Xie Bi Yan to face Jia Xingtian would mean risking a Dou Zong’s desperate counterattack — a perilous task indeed. He couldn’t help but interject, ”Sect Master Yan’s cultivation is far deeper. It would be more suitable for you to join Elder Xie against Jia Xingtian. Leave this woman to us brothers to restrain.”

Yan Luotian’s brows knitted. ”You three would even fight me for her?”

Atop the fortress walls, Liu Xi smiled faintly. ”They’re underestimating us, aren’t they, Elder Yao?”

A soft glow flickered across his Storage Ring, and the figure of Yao Tianhuo appeared beside him, his fiery aura burning like a miniature sun. ”Little friend,” he greeted calmly, eyes sweeping across the battlefield.

Liu Xi’s gaze locked onto Xie Bi Yan — the strongest among them. His mastery of poison was so profound that even a mid-level Dou Zong would hesitate to face him directly. Even Jia Xingtian could only barely withstand him.

”Elder Yao, that Xie Bi Yan will be your opponent,” Liu Xi said with a smirk. ”Try to keep him alive if you can. Though old and ugly, his 3-Star Dou Zong body might serve as a decent vessel for you later.”

Yao Tianhuo’s brows twitched as his eyes followed Liu Xi’s gaze. ”Tch, that one’s ugliness truly defies the heavens. White hair, hunched back, and that revolting face… at least when I had white hair, I looked like an immortal! Even if I took that body and changed its appearance, I’d still feel filthy!”

Then his gaze shifted to Yan Luotian — tall, radiant, and handsome, golden wings spread like a divine being descending from the heavens. Yao Tianhuo’s lips curved with interest. ”Now that body is a fine specimen. Reminds me of my younger days — equally dashing and refined.”

Liu Xi gave an exasperated chuckle. ”As long as you like it, Elder Yao. Queen Medusa, that one’s yours. Bring back his corpse — intact.”

Medusa’s tone was as cold as the northern wind. ”Understood.” That man’s eyes had disgusted her from the start. She longed to gouge out those lecherous orbs and crush them beneath her heel.

Finally, Liu Xi turned to Jia Xingtian. ”Elder Jia—”

”I understand,” Jia Xingtian interrupted solemnly. ”Those Three Mulan Elders will be mine.”

But Liu Xi shook his head. ”No, Elder Jia. You’ll assist Elder Yao in taking down Xie Bi Yan. As for the Mulan Elders — I’ll handle them myself.”

Jia Xingtian froze, staring at him in disbelief. ”Little friend, don’t jest! Those three cultivate the combined technique Three Beast Savage Technique. When they unite their strength, they possess the might of a Dou Zong!”

Liu Xi merely smiled. A pair of massive azure flames unfurled behind him, propelling him skyward. Zi Ling and Yao Tianhuo followed suit, stepping upon the void as they soared toward the approaching battlefront.

”Elder Jia, I’ve got this,” Liu Xi’s voice echoed through the wind. ”Not one of them leaves alive today. This first battle decides it all — one strike to end the war!”

Jia Xingtian was deeply moved. He believed Liu Xi merely wanted to stall the Mulan Elders, giving him and Yao Tianhuo the chance to slay Xie Bi Yan swiftly and secure victory for the Jia Ma Empire.

’This little friend has done too much for our empire already…’ Jia Xingtian thought solemnly, his eyes hardening as he charged after Yao Tianhuo. ’That poisonous old bastard must die first. Only then can I aid Liu Xi!’

From the fortress walls, countless eyes watched in shock as Liu Xi himself stepped into the battlefield of Dou Zong experts.

When Yao Tianhuo’s aura erupted — equal to any Dou Zong — the expressions of Xie Bi Yan, Yan Luotian, and the Mulan Elders all turned grim. The balance of power had shifted.

Seeing Liu Xi summon not one but two Dou Zong-level combatants, Xie Bi Yan’s murky eyes flashed with cold light. ”Hmph. Seems you don’t need to fight over opponents anymore,” he growled. ”That boy’s already made the choice for you. What a terrifying 6th Tier Alchemist…”

---

As Liu Xi entered the Dou Zong’s domain, his figure streaked toward the Three Mulan Elders.

The trio exchanged looks of disbelief before the lion-marked elder’s killing intent surged. ”Boy, what do you mean by this? A mere Dou Huang thinks to hold back us brothers?”

Liu Xi’s expression remained calm. Azure flames rippled faintly across his body, and his aura began to soar — higher, stronger, until it reached the very peak of the Dou Huang realm, teetering on the edge of Dou Zong.

”I do more than intend to hold you,” he said softly. ”I intend to end you.”

”Arrogant brat! Brothers — attack!”

The three elders moved as one, forming a seamless triangle. Blue, red, and violet Dou Qi surged from their bodies, intertwining through an intricate formation that linked their vitality and will as one.

A bestial roar split the heavens, echoing with primal ferocity. From the patterns upon their robes, the lion, tiger, and bear totems burst into life, fusing together as their combined aura swelled beyond mortal limits.

That savage energy resonated with the heavens themselves — terrifying and wild — and as their bodies shifted into half-beast forms, the lion-headed elder roared, ”Countless Dou Huangs have perished beneath our fists. Boy, you’ll be the next!”
