Ghost Catching System

Among the captives, someone said excitedly, ”Maybe we still have a chance to be saved, the Shanhai Alliance really isn’t going to abandon us.”

One of the captives suddenly asked, ”Then what is this Land of the Forsaken? How come I’ve never heard of it?”

”That’s something from a long time ago. In the ancient era, the Human World was originally one whole. But when the Dark Ages arrived, Foreign Ghosts set out from the depths of the Land of the Forsaken. Even when all the races of the Human World joined forces, they still couldn’t stop the Foreign Ghosts.”

”In the end, several ancient mighty ones cast their spells to divide the Shanhai Realm, and set up the boundary line of the Human World. Only then did they halt the Foreign Ghosts’ advance. From that point on, the separated region was called the Sin Abyss Region.”

The man continued asking, ”Is this Sin Abyss really that special?”

”Extremely special. In the ancient era it was already a forbidden zone of the Human World. The order there is very strict. Once a powerhouse above the King Realm enters the Sin Origin Region, his strength will plummet to below that of a Taoist Master.”

Everyone was shocked. There was actually such a place.

Someone suddenly understood and said, ”So that’s how it is.”

”But that’s strange. Since the Sin Origin Region is so terrifying, why would the Necromancer Clan even consider going there? Isn’t staying in the Snowy Shadow Domain good enough?”

A burly old man appeared, his golden hair bristling upright like a mighty lion. He carried authority without anger. This man was the chief of the Snowy Shadow Domain camp, a Peak Emperor Realm Hero.

The camp chief said, ”The true threat to the Snowy Shadow Domain is not the Necromancer Clan.”

Not the Necromancer Clan?

Everyone froze.

The camp chief said, ”The Necromancer Clan is leaving the Snowy Shadow Domain simply to survive.”

The outsiders were stunned.

The chief narrowed his eyes and said, ”Beneath the entire Snowy Shadow Domain lies one of the rarest Ancient Species. It’s called the Corpse Dragon King.”

Corpse Dragon King?

Everyone was shocked.

Ancient Species—this term hadn’t been heard in a long time.

Ancient Species are the most ancient ancestors of the Shanhai Beasts. According to research by Humans of the Shanhai Realm, the history of the Ancient Species is at least over a hundred million years.

”But aren’t the rumors saying that the Ancient Species are already extinct? Yet the Snowy Shadow Domain actually has an Ancient Species Shanhai Beast.” Everyone’s faces were full of shock.

The camp chief sneered and said, ”Who said they were extinct? The Ancient Species have always been alive. It’s just that no one has ever seen them, so they were gradually forgotten over the long years.”

”Because the cultivation sites chosen by the Ancient Species are very unique. Take this thriving land of life, the Snowy Shadow Domain. Life here is far too abundant. Too many powerful Shanhai Beasts have been born here. Emperor Realm Shanhai Beasts aren’t anything special. But all these monsters are just nourishment for the Corpse Dragon King.”

Emperor Realm Shanhai Beasts are merely fodder raised as nourishment for an Ancient Species?

This news was utterly shocking.

Someone cried out, ”So that’s why the Necromancer Clan wants to leave the Snowy Shadow Domain.”

The chief said, ”That’s right.”

So that was it—the Necromancer Clan was afraid of the Corpse Dragon King, thus chose to leave.

...

Chu Hao was extremely anxious.

Did the Shanhai Realm really not understand that the current Yanhuang World is no longer what it once was?

Driving the Necromancer Clan into the Shanhai Realm would absolutely be a great catastrophe.

”What should I do?” Chu Hao could only hate that his strength was too weak.

”In the eyes of the People from Shanhai World, are the people of Yanhuang World not Human?”

He had once thought of coming to the Shanhai Realm to ask for aid, and the result? The Shanhai Realm itself was now diverting disaster onto the Yanhuang World—this was far beyond anything he’d anticipated.

Chu Hao decided to go to the Humans’ camp and explain the situation of the Yanhuang World to the Sage. He slipped away quietly.

Returning to the outer perimeter of the camp, taking off his Devil Mask, Chu Hao said, ”Let me in.”

The camp Guards were surprised. At a time like this, there was still a Human returning, so they opened the camp gate.

”You actually managed to escape back alive, that’s really lucky,” someone said.

It was so dangerous outside that Chu Hao being able to escape back was beyond the Guards’ expectations.

Chu Hao quickly said, ”I want to see the Yin Yang Saint. I have something important to report.”

The camp Guards were puzzled.

”What’s going on?” A camp leader arrived.

A Guard said, ”Sir, this man escaped back from outside and says he has important matters to report to the Sage.”

The camp leader said, ”Telling me is the same.”

Chu Hao said, ”It’s about the Yanhuang World.”

”Oh?” The camp leader was curious.

”There are tens of billions of living beings in the Yanhuang World. If the Necromancer Clan is exiled there, it will definitely be a massacre of all life.” Chu Hao said earnestly.

The camp leader said, ”How do you know this?”

Chu Hao said, ”I am from the Yanhuang World. I know everything about it clearly. There are far too many people in the Yanhuang World. The Necromancer Clan must absolutely not be banished there.”

Everyone looked at him in astonishment.

The camp leader was also surprised and said, ”You’re a Sin Abyss Remnant?”

Although he didn’t like the term Sin Abyss Remnants, Chu Hao still nodded.

The camp leader said, ”I’ll give it a try.”

The camp leader left, and Chu Hao waited anxiously for news.

Two hours later, the leader of the camp returned. He said, ”What you told me, I’ve already passed on to the Sage. As for how the Sage will judge the matter, that I cannot know.”

Chu Hao hastily said, ”Thank you.”

”Tell me about the Sin Abyss. It’s really inconceivable that you actually came to the Shanhai Realm from there,” the leader said.

Chu Hao asked in confusion, ”Is it very difficult to come to the Shanhai Realm from the Yanhuang World?”

The camp leader said, ”Difficult is an understatement. That place is practically sealed shut. No one can come through, and no one can go over.”

Is it really like that?

Clearly he had come over quite easily, and in fact some Yin-Yang Practitioners of the Shanhai Realm had already gone over there.

”I don’t really know.”

The camp leader said, ”Don’t leave the camp. There are some things that still need to be confirmed from above.”

One day later, the Necromancer Clan gave their answer, and the Sage’s decision followed.

The news came: the Necromancer Clan had agreed to head to the Sin Abyss.

This news made countless captives excited—they were saved.

The Sage also clearly told the Necromancer Clan that they would join forces to open the passage to the Sin Abyss and send the entire clan over.

Chu Hao was dumbfounded.

Chu Hao went to find the camp leader and said anxiously, ”Why would the Sage do that? Does he even know how many lives there are in the Yanhuang World?”

The camp leader shook his head and said, ”The Sage naturally has his reasons for what he does. Don’t overthink it.”

How could I not overthink it?

That place is my homeland.

The home I risked my life to protect.

For its sake, I came to the Yanhuang World to seek aid—and this is the result?

Chu Hao said in a deep voice, ”I want to see the Sage.”

In the end the camp leader said, ”Fine, I’ll make arrangements. Whether the Sage will see you, I do not know.”

Chu Hao clasped his fists and said, ”Thank you.”

Half a day later.

The camp leader returned, shaking his head. ”The Sage is very busy. He asked me to tell you that the Sage has his own plans. You don’t need to concern yourself.”

Chu Hao still felt uneasy.

The camp leader said, ”Also, the Sage is very curious about how you managed to come from the Yanhuang World. He’s decided to meet you the day after tomorrow. Just stay in the camp.”

Chu Hao nodded slightly. As long as he could meet him, that was enough.

The camp leader left, but before leaving he said something to his subordinates.

The camp Guards escorted Chu Hao to a resting room and then went out.

However, after sitting for a while, Chu Hao couldn’t sit still. He left the room, only to be stopped by the Guards.

The Guard said calmly, ”Please go back.”
