Ghost Catching System

Following that, some inscriptions appeared on the massive ghost body of the Ghost Ancestor, terrifying Ghost Curses, extremely sinister Ghost Curses.

”Ghost Craving Curse!?”

The Ghost Ancestor screamed miserably, his ghost body was in agony, as if something was biting on him, causing him unbearable pain.

Then, the Red Dust Immortal walked away without even glancing at the Ghost Ancestor.

Before leaving, she looked at the distant slope where Chu Hao’s body lay, dead beyond recognition, brutally mangled, with parts of the flesh gone, leaving only remnants.

The Red Dust Immortal approached the corpse, murmuring, ”You’ve been struck by the Secret Shadow Ghost Curse; apart from those at my level, no one will remember you, and you’ll vanish from others’ memories.”

The Red Dust Immortal said, ”Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Burying you is perhaps a fitting repayment for what once resided within you.”

The Red Dust Immortal took Chu Hao’s body, found a favorable feng shui location, and buried him.

Erected a tombstone.

Chu Hao’s Tomb.

She glanced at the Knocking Demon Sword, slightly furrowed her brow, didn’t take the sword, but placed it beside Chu Hao’s tomb.

”Treat it as your burial offering.”

Then she left.

This battle finally came to an end.

Fang Han awoke, exclaiming, ”Ghost Ancestor!”

But he found that apart from him, there was no one else around. Could the Ghost Ancestor have left?

Fang Han furrowed his brow, wondering who else there could be, someone he’s forgotten?

Fang Han murmured, ”Who did I forget, who exactly is he?”

Unable to remember, Fang Han felt helpless, sensing that he lost part of his memory, causing him great distress.

Nevertheless, Fang Han focused his attention on the Ghost Ancestor, inhaling deeply, ”The Ghost Ancestor has descended to the Human World, who can stop him?”

Fang Han left.

At the same time.

Within the Yanhuang Netherworld, the newly appointed Soul-eating Yinsi, Luo Yan, held a bowl of soul-releasing soup, drinking it would make the Ghost Fetus forget this life, ready to reincarnate.

Suddenly, the soul-releasing soup fell to the ground, startling the Ghost Fetuses, who cautiously watched this so-called ”Granny Meng.”

Luo Yan bent down; willowy brows, large eyes, slim and tender long legs revealed stunning curves, leaving a group of Ghost Fetuses staring in astonishment.

She picked up the bowl of soul-releasing soup from the ground, murmuring, ”Strange, I seem to have forgotten something.”

Luo Yan felt something at the corner of her eye; she reached to touch and asked oddly, ”Why am I crying?”

”Why am I crying?”

”What exactly is happening to me?”

”It feels like I’ve lost something, let me think.”

Luo Yan fell into deep thought, the queue of Ghost Fetuses preparing to drink the soup couldn’t help but ask, ”Madam, are we still drinking the soup?”

Luo Yan suddenly got angry, ”Shut up.”

The Ghost Fetuses trembled with fear, falling silent, as this lady was the Netherworld’s Granny Meng, though exceedingly beautiful, very overbearing.

Luo Yan’s eyes continued to shed tears, murmuring, ”Why did I come to the Netherworld as a Yinsi, who sent me here? That person... I can’t remember, yet he seems very important to me.”

”I can’t remember, I should ask Yanjun, they might know.”

Luo Yan set aside the soul-releasing soup and turned to leave.

The Ghost Fetuses looked at each other in confusion, not understanding what was happening.

Desiring to cross the legendary Naihe Bridge, yet facing a crowd of Netherworld Soldiers ahead, they dared not move, waiting in place.

Luo Yan found Yanjun, someone she was familiar with—King of Qilin Martial Arts.

Zhao Yun furrowed his brow, pondering, ”You were appointed by Earthly Venerable to be the Soul-eating Yinsi.”

So it was Earthly Venerable.

Luo Yan breathed a sigh of relief, asking, ”Yanjun, I seem to have forgotten someone important to me.”

Zhao Yun thought for a moment, puzzled by Luo Yan’s words.

What exactly have I forgotten?

Luo Yan’s crying kept her restless, unable to sleep.

That day, Yanjun Zhao Yun felt the same way, though not needing sleep, the moment he closed his eyes felt like something was lost.

Zhao Yun went to ask Zhang Fei.

Zhang Fei was straightforward, shrugged, having no clue what he was talking about.

Zhao Yun, feeling helpless, then went to ask the King of Benevolence and Etiquette.

The King of Benevolence and Etiquette shook his head, ”I too discovered I’ve forgotten something, but cannot recall.”

Zhao Yun eagerly asked, ”Do you also have this sense of illusion, King of Benevolence and Etiquette?”

The King of Benevolence and Etiquette said, ”It truly isn’t an illusion; we truly have forgotten something.”

Zhao Yun felt troubled, ”How can I recall, I constantly feel this matter is important.”

The King of Benevolence and Etiquette pondered but shook his head, unsure how to help.

Zhao Yun said, ”I’ll go find Earthly Venerable.”

The King of Benevolence and Etiquette warned, ”Earthly Venerable might not respond.”

Indeed, Zhao Yun found it futile; Earthly Venerable like a clay statue, offering no reply.

That day, Zhao Yun finished his tasks and chatted with King of Literature and Martial Arts about this matter.

King of Literature and Martial Arts furrowed his brow, ”Something very important, yet everyone cannot recall it?”

Zhao Yun nodded.

King of Literature and Martial Arts said, ”I feel similarly.”

Indeed, Zhao Yun sighed.

King of Literature and Martial Arts, Luo Xiaoyi said, ”There’s an exceedingly strange ghost curse capable of erasing one’s existence from the world.”

Zhao Yun surprisingly asked, ”What kind of ghost curse?”

Luo Xiaoyi pondered, ”The Secret Shadow Ghost Curse; it can make someone disappear utterly, all traces of this person erased from the world, with no one remembering their name, as if this person never existed in memory.”

Zhao Yun astonishingly stated, ”Such bizarre artistry exists?”

Luo Xiaoyi added, ”It defies the heavenly order.”

Zhao Yun questioned, ”If someone affected by the Secret Shadow Ghost Curse appears, will we recall him?”

Luo Xiaoyi answered, ”Yes and no; it depends on the caster’s strength.”

”Those stronger than the curse caster can recall this person; otherwise, he’s eternally gone.”

Zhao Yun remarked, ”Anything can happen in this vast world.”

Luo Xiaoyi added, ”Recently, I felt someone vanished from my memory; I can faintly perceive his vague shadow but not the true form.”

Zhao Yun was shocked; he couldn’t even perceive a shadow, amazed at the King of Literature and Martial Arts’ rapid progress.

...

Yanhuang World.

Day by day passed.

A year came and went.

On an unnoticed hillside, covered in thick snow, an unremarkable tombstone lay buried beneath the snow.

Soon spring arrived, the hillside blossomed with wildflowers, vibrant and beautiful.

The tombstone was overgrown with thorns, wild and untamed, nearly covering the stone.

Autumns and winters passed one after another.

The hillside turned lush green, no one knew a grave once lay here.

It stood solitary, never visited.

It felt lonely.

It felt desolate.

Longing for a visitor, even one bringing a flower would suffice.

Even just a glance.
