I just wanted you to make a movie: You made a Honkai Star Rail movie

: Only thing to say, never trust a single word coming from MiHoYo or the director!

: This Boothill knife cut so deep, I can’t recover at all!

-------------------------------------

MiHoYo.

Everyone was gathered in the screening hall.

After Boothill’s self-filmed personal story became a huge success, it gave everyone quite a bit of confidence.

”You really gave everyone a great start, Boothill.”

A few people were gathered together, drinking and chatting.

”Everyone was really supportive.”

Boothill grinned and said: ”At first, I just thought I’d shoot something casually. Turns out the result wasn’t bad at all.”

When Xia Wen had given him this opportunity earlier, Boothill hadn’t thought much of it. He simply followed the script and added his own ideas, filming his past as per the script.

He really didn’t think too hard about it, since the boss had asked, he just went ahead and shot it.

Welt said: ”A lot of fans online are still discussing that mysterious scene of yours.”

Jing Yuan crossed his arms and nodded: ”That final one-minute shot lock was truly stunning.”

Argenti didn’t hold back his praise: ”My admiration for Mr. Boothill was not misplaced, you really are an uncut gem.”

Sunday took a sip of his drink and said slowly: ”What was Mr. Boothill thinking at the time? Maybe we can make use of that experience too.”

With this experiment’s success, everyone’s personal stories would eventually be put on screen as well.

And since Boothill’s was such a huge success, everyone was eager to learn from his experience.

Faced with the curious crowd, Boothill leaned back on the sofa, his eyes playful: ”Really want to know?”

”Yes!” Everyone was incredibly curious.

Boothill’s gaze gradually grew serious, as if recalling his mental journey during filming.

Under everyone’s expectant stares, he slowly spoke: ”Actually, at that time... my mind was completely blank! Absolutely nothing!”

”?” Everyone was dumbfounded.

Their expressions made Boothill burst into laughter.

”Hahaha, didn’t expect that, did you!”

”Honestly, back then I was holding the script, trying to figure out how I should act.”

”But I couldn’t think of anything at all. I had never filmed before, how could I possibly know what to do?”

”At the time, Assistant Director Furina was urging me on from the side.”

”I thought, since she came to help me film, I couldn’t make her wait too long.”

”So I forced myself to stand in front of the screen, not knowing what pose to make. I just imagined the scene in front of me, and then... stood there blankly.”

”My mind was completely empty. I thought maybe I should show some sadness, or vent some anger.”

”But who would have thought that, by some strange twist, I ended up standing there expressionless for a whole minute.”

It seemed Boothill had kept this inside for a long time, and now he was spilling it all out.

Drinking and waving his hand, he said: ”When the final cut aired today, I was still thinking, MiHoYo’s very first flop might end up being my fault!”

Yet, what became everyone’s favorite, even praised as an ”artistic film technique,” was in fact nothing but Boothill’s helpless blank mind.

”It really was... fate...” Sunday coughed lightly.

Jing Yuan and Welt exchanged glances and gave bitter smiles.

It did seem like the kind of thing only Boothill would do. Because he didn’t know how to film, he casually shot a scene, and it accidentally became a classic.

This was something the audience would never have guessed.

”So you see, the boss’s vision is truly far-sighted.” Argenti suddenly said thoughtfully.

”Oh?”

”You merciless complimenting machine, what new angle have you thought of now?” Boothill chuckled.

After spending so much time together, Argenti had earned the internal nickname of ”merciless complimenting machine.”

He always managed to put things from an angle no one else thought of.

Argenti shook his head seriously: ”When the boss said that as long as it’s us, even if we film casually it would be right, I thought it was just comforting words. But now, I think that may actually be the secret to success.”

”Because of the foundation we’ve built, and the deep impression of our characters in people’s hearts.”

”As long as we are the ones acting, no matter what happens, the audience will feel, ’yes, that’s exactly how it should be.’”

Jing Yuan immediately agreed: ”Your silence, in another series, might have been considered a mistake. But here, it naturally made the audience feel that Boothill had to be like that in that moment.”

”In the end, it’s because the boss laid a strong foundation.”

Boothill nodded as well.

Then he glanced around and asked curiously: ”By the way, where’s the boss?”

”Not sure.”

”Seems he had something to do.”

”I heard an important figure came here.” Jing Yuan replied.

”Oh, is that so?” Boothill lifted his glass: ”Well, that has nothing to do with us. Come on, drink, drink.”

”Cheers, cheers! To the great success of your personal work!”

”Now I can’t wait to film my own story.”

”More beauty will shine under the lights of the stage!”

Jing Yuan, Welt, and Argenti all raised their glasses.

Just as Sunday was about to raise his glass to join them, Boothill suddenly spoke up.

”Sunday, swap your drink for alcohol! Don’t think I didn’t notice you’re drinking coconut juice!”

Holding his glass, Sunday smiled helplessly: ”Sorry, I thought I could get away with it.”

”Hahaha, come on Sunday, don’t be so reserved. The mood’s already here.”

”Exactly.”

”A little drink won’t hurt.”

Egged on by everyone, Sunday also refilled with alcohol and clinked glasses with them.

With such an atmosphere, the conversation became even livelier.

Meanwhile, inside Xia Wen’s office.

Xia Wen was having a cordial conversation with an important figure.

This time, the guest’s status was extremely high.

But given MiHoYo’s influence now, they should also have some say among such figures long ago.

At this moment, they had already been exchanging polite words for some time.

Now, the important figure said with some embarrassment:

”To be honest, I feel a little awkward.”

”After all, this time coming here... feels a bit like asking for help.”
