Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence

Chapter 275: Chapter 269: Conquering the Thunderboltous Griffin Flock

This was less a battle and more a one-sided massacre.

In just fifteen minutes, the camp fell completely silent, the air thick with the heavy stench of blood.

Raylo, riding Baofeng, slowly landed in the center of the camp. His gaze swept over the field of corpses, his expression unchanging.

”Alex.”

”Yes, my lord!”

Alex urged his Griffin to Raylo’s side.

”Count the spoils of war. Take all one hundred of these Pegasi back to Black Stone Castle. Make sure no one gets away alive.”p>Raylo commanded.

”As you command, my lord!”

Alex immediately led the Pegasus Knights into action.

They skillfully stripped the Armor from the Fiery Sun Knights, collected their Weapons, and gathered all the Pegasi.

The Golden Dragon Sun still circled low in the sky. Its Dragon Mighty kept the frightened Pegasi completely submissive, not daring to resist in the slightest.

Raylo watched his subordinates carry out his orders methodically, his heart calm.

He turned his head to look farther east, where a continuous mountain range sketched a majestic silhouette in the morning light.

”Sun, let’s go.”

Raylo said to the Golden Dragon in the sky.

The Golden Dragon let out a low response, seemingly not yet satisfied with the recent ”warm-up.”

Raylo nodded to Ed, then led the sixteen Griffin Knights, changed direction, and flew toward the eastern mountains with the Golden Dragon Sun.

「The eastbound journey lasted two days.」

The wind howled past their ears.

The Griffin Knights followed Raylo, crossing hills and valleys, leaving the territory of Black Stone Territory far behind.

The Golden Dragon Sun wove through the higher clouds, its immense shadow occasionally falling upon the land below.

Curled up on Raylo’s saddle was a large, snow-white cat, seemingly dozing.

It was none other than the Silver Dragon Moonlight.

But at this moment, the former ”Minister of Magical Creatures” seemed a bit listless.

Her sleek, silver-white fur seemed to have lost some of its luster. Even the tip of her tail, which usually twitched with curiosity, now hung limply, swaying listlessly.

Raylo, of course, noticed her mood.

Ever since Sun joined them, and especially during the recent ”persuasion” of the Pegasi, Sun had solved everything with a single roar. This gave Moonlight, who had always taken pride in this ability, a deep sense of professional crisis.

’She felt like she’d lost her job.’

Raylo didn’t say anything, simply reaching out to scratch her soft chin.

Moonlight turned her head away symbolically, a low, discontented purr rumbling in her throat, but she didn’t ultimately pull away.

「Two days later, a solitary peak appeared on the horizon.」

The entire mountain was a dark red, as if it had been cleaved in two by a Giant’s War Axe, its cliffs as sheer as if cut by a knife.

The afternoon sun, rather than bringing warmth, reflected off its surface with a cold, metallic sheen.

This was the nest of the Thunderboltous Griffins.

Raylo had coveted this clan for a long time.

Thunderboltous Griffins were a unique breed among Griffins, born with the ability to control thunder and lightning. They were more ferocious and far rarer than ordinary Storm Griffins.

He had passed this place when leading the troops of Black Stone Territory to Red Leaf Territory and had thought of subjugating them then, but he hadn’t been absolutely certain of success at the time.

But now, with the addition of Sun, a Tier Five Giant Dragon, Black Stone Territory finally had the confidence to conquer this population of Thunderboltous Griffins.

”Prepare.”

Raylo’s voice was soft, but it was enough to make the sixteen Knights behind him instantly focus.

The moment they came within three hundred meters of the peak, a loud, sharp cry tore through the sky!

”SCREECH!”

The sound was laced with the crackle of electricity, filled with aggression and warning.

A blue figure shot up from the summit. It was a size larger than Baofeng, its feathers a deep azure, the edge of each one seeming to spark with silver-blue arcs of electricity.

Behind it, twelve slightly smaller Thunderboltous Griffins followed closely, forming a sharp attack formation.

This was the Tier Four Thunderboltous Griffin King.

Its sharp eyes stared intently at Raylo’s group for trespassing on its territory, its hostility unconcealed, especially toward Baofeng in the lead.

As a fellow Griffin King, Baofeng’s appearance was a direct challenge to its authority.

Raylo didn’t even look at the Griffin King. He just raised his head and gazed at the higher sky.

”Sun, it’s your turn.”

The next moment, the wind stopped, and the clouds parted.

Golden light pierced through the clouds without warning, like a Divine Punishment descending from the heavens.

”ROAR!”

A dragon’s roar, more magnificent than thunder and heavier than a landslide, resounded between heaven and earth.

The Golden Dragon Sun’s enormous, hundred-meter-long body emerged from behind the clouds. It didn’t dive, but merely descended slowly. Its golden scales flowed with a sacred and majestic light under the sun, and its molten-gold vertical pupils looked down indifferently at the tiny challengers below.

The terrifying Dragon Mighty was no longer an intangible tide but had materialized into a colossal mountain, crashing down with a deafening roar!

The flock of Thunderboltous Griffins, so menacing just a moment ago, instantly froze in place.

The sparks on the twelve Tier Three Thunderboltous Griffins extinguished the moment they touched the Dragon Mighty. They let out a series of terrified cries, as if all their strength had been drained, and could barely maintain flight. They spiraled crookedly down toward the cliff face below.

They didn’t even dare to flee, only burying their heads deep in their wings, shivering on the rocks in submission.

Only the Tier Four Griffin King, relying on its royal dignity and Power, was still struggling to resist.

It let out an unwilling roar, its azure feathers standing on end. Blinding electricity erupted from its body as it attempted to use its own Thunderbolt Power to fight against the absolute suppression from a higher Tier of life.

Thick bolts of Lightning coiled around its body, but like streams blocked by an invisible wall, they could never break through the Dragon Mighty’s Domain.

In Sun’s eyes, its struggle was like the roar of an ant.

Sun couldn’t even be bothered to use its Dragon Breath; it simply extended a claw.

Five sharp talons, like five curved greatswords, pressed down slowly with an aura that seemed to tear space itself.

The Thunderboltous Griffin King let out the final, most desperate cry of its life.

It gathered all its Power of Thunder and Lightning into its beak, forming a dazzling Thunderball that it blasted upward.

However, when the Thunderball struck the golden claw, it was like a pebble tossed into the ocean. It only stirred a negligible ripple of Magic Power, completely unable to shake Sun’s Power.

The next second, the giant golden claw landed precisely on its back.

”BOOM!”

With a tremendous bang, the Thunderboltous Griffin King’s massive body was mercilessly swatted out of the air and pinned firmly to its own throne—

—the highest rock on the entire mountain peak.

The hard rock was instantly covered in a spiderweb of cracks, and rubble tumbled down.
