Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4453: Olethros! I

Immense waves of Civilizational Authority of Paradox erupted from Aurelius Paradoxus...a golden light that expanded outward to form into sea of paradoxical power.

This golden sea rose to match and drown out all incoming attacks, attempting to negate their assault through fundamental reality manipulation.

In the surroundings, a different symphony started to bloom with the eruption of Civilizational Authority of Paradox- a competing melody that clashed with the drums of Hunger.

And accompanying this counter-melody:

”PARADOX!”

A booming singular word of Paradox threatened to drown out Hunger...trying to impose its authority over the battlefield through sheer weight of established Primordial Civilization!

Once more, Protos analyzed the threat and communicated to his forces

”This technique seeks to impose upon you and your abilities a self-negating truth. According to this paradox, you can only exist if you do not exist. The truth seeks to retroactively erase you and your abilities even before you existed...to make it so you never were.”

”Does such a truth align with your duty?”

...!

The short but grand synchronized reply of the Primus Inevitabilities rang out with absolute conviction.

”NO! Paradox cannot erase our duty!”

Protos’ eyes shone brilliantly with glorious crimson light as he bellowed out the command.

”Then... FULFILL. YOUR. DUTY!”

...!

BOOM!

Void Appetite erupted again with even greater intensity than before, Infinite Hunger responding to paradoxical assault with absolute consumption.

Oh!

The glorious jaws manifested throughout the golden sea, stellar tentacles wrapping around concentrated Civilizational Authority of Paradox and devouring it with methodical precision.

The paradox that sought to erase them was being consumed. The truth that claimed they could only exist if they didn’t exist was being eaten by hunger that didn’t care about logical contradictions.

Infinite Hunger devoured even paradoxes.

Ontological Anchoring has been systematically devoured by Infinite Hunger. Paradoxical truth negated through consumption rather than logical refutation.

All Primus Inevitabilities present gain +1.5 Quintillion Complexity and Purity.

The Master requests no portion of this harvest. All essence flows to his forces and Civilization.

...!

The golden sea of Civilizational Authority of Paradox faded as it was devoured, and the attacks of 100,000 Wyrms descended with 900,000 heads worth of molten Civilizational Authority raining down.

Aurelius Paradoxus gazed at them coldly from below, his expression mixing fury with calmness.

The glorious scene that followed was devastating in its relentlessness.

The attacks landed on his body one by one...900,000 streams of molten Mana and Hunger crashing against his form with combined weight that exceeded even his substantial defenses.

He gazed at them coldly as his entire body shone golden with protective light...attempting to nullify all attacks as they smashed into him through paradoxical negation.

A staredown commenced between the Avatar and those above.

Aurelius looked toward Noah and Ozymandias with eyes that carried killing intent.

But the crimson eyes of Protos were the only thing that met his gaze...Protos staring down this being that was being bombarded with attacks of all his brethren while standing perfectly still between the enemy and his Master.

Aurelius was powerful, yes.

He was withstanding assault that would have devastated lesser beings. His Civilizational Authority of Paradox was genuine, his power substantial.

But...

BZZT!

In the staredown, Protos observed the infallible golden glow of Paradox surrounding the Avatar dim slightly over time as... Infinite Hunger began to take bites from it!

The constant pressure, the relentless assault, the imposed hunger from within...all of it was accumulating damage that even 1.5 Sextillion power could not indefinitely sustain.

The enemy was indeed powerful.

But before their hunger, before their Duty... he had to fall.

Protos deemed this with absolute certainty even as the Master communicated through their bond that soon, this Avatar would receive aid from others just like him...with one being immensely powerful, far exceeding even Aurelius.

Protos accepted this information and was already prepared. Only 100,000 of his Brothers and Sisters were currently deployed.

1.9 Million were yet to be revealed from the glorious body of Ozymandias.

When the rest of the enemies came, and they would come, Protos would lead to fulfill his duty.

The glorious scene that unfolded would be remembered across existence.

The encirclement around the Avatar closed in even deeper...100,000 Primus Inevitabilities with their 100,000 Wyrms creating zone of absolute consumption that pressed inward with inexorable force.

Shockingly, terrifyingly, magnificently...a being with 1.5 Sextillion power was being offset by unique combination of numbers, Mana, and Hunger!

One being watched it coldly.

He was Protos, First of the Primus Inevitabilities.

And at this moment...

”Finish it.”

...!

He gave a command that would determine the immediate future of this battlefield.

A moment later, the terrifying scene unfolded. On the body of Ozymandias floating grandly above, the chest flashed twice with deliberate pulsing...a signal that had been pre-arranged with his Master.

Protos had already communicated extensively with Noah regarding the optimal approach for decimating their first true enemy.

For the sake of achieving overwhelming victory rather than costly struggle, one had to be wise and strategic rather than simply powerful.

When an animal was thrown with their back against the wall, it would lash out with the strongest and most volatile response available.

Aurelius Paradoxus was about to erupt with Everything...his full remaining resources dedicated to devastating counter-attack against the forces he perceived as threatening him.

At such a moment, when he had mentally accounted for how to erupt with sufficient power against the 100,000 terrifying Primus Inevitabilities surrounding him...

Protos gazed down coldly as in the next instant, 200,000 more Primus Inevitabilities materialized within the encirclement of Aurelius with synchronized precision!

The simple yet tactical brilliance was devastating.

Protos watched with continuing analytical curiosity as he observed the eyes of this terrifying entity open wide with incredulity...the arrogance and calculated confidence fracturing into genuine shock as he realized the forces arrayed against him had just tripled.

And in that brief opening, in that instant where shock disrupted his tactical planning...

Hunger Propagation was activated by all newly appearing 200,000 Primus Inevitabilities to layer onto the Hunger Propagation that was already imposed upon this being.

While he had prepared and acclimated to throw a last-second volatile attack sufficient to devastate 100,000 entities, 200,000 more appeared and imposed their terrifying Infinite Hunger upon him!

The effect was catastrophic!
