Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4249: Justiciar! III

The great gray wall ahead of them, the one the Lodestone had been attached to, began to buzz.

Thousands of invisible, ethereal chains flickered into view, and Noah saw it with his new, enhanced perception: every single one of the thousands of frozen Mutated Inevitabilities was attached to this wall!

And in the next moment, a horrific, silent scene unfolded.

The eyes of every Inevitability dimmed, their very existence snuffed out as if they were being forcefully put to sleep.

Then, one after another, in a single, terrifying instant, they were all pulled into the gray wall, their forms absorbed like water into dry earth.

Thousands of Inevitabilities, taken. As if their service here was done!

Khor looked at the scene, her face a mask of cold, absolute rage. She turned to Noah, her concern overriding her fury.

”Are you really okay? I sensed an aura of absolute collapse just now, something that might have even collapsed my own existence.”

Noah looked at her, and as he did, his vision overlaid a simple, blue holographic display over her form, detailing her name and current state.

In his mind, RUIN/EDEN’s voice was a calm, analytical whisper.

I am now able to provide basic status displays for all entities you gaze upon, Master. I am also currently analyzing and collecting data on all weavings of existence in this location.

He nodded at this internal report, then turned his full attention to Khor. ”It seems we poked a hornet’s nest. We have to leave. Now. The collapse of this whole place is likely imminent.”

The moment the words left his mouth, their surroundings began to shake violently. The great, gray meteors began to crumble, the chains connecting them snapping with a sound like tearing reality!

A process of Total Existential Collapse has been initiated.

Projected time until completion: 3 nanoseconds.

Analysis: Whoever designed this system did not believe in second chances.

At such words, the bodies of Noah, Malphas, and Khor were already wrapped in the radiant, blue-gold light of the Early Veiled Shore. They disappeared!

The moment they were gone, the entire gray realm imploded, collapsing in on itself in a silent, absolute negation of existence.

The gray wall that had swallowed the Inevitabilities faded as if it had never been there at all!

They returned to the Radiant Shore.

Noah gazed up, watching as the massive, gray portal, the Doorway #9384 they had just opened, began to collapse in on itself, its shimmering veil tearing and unraveling until it, too, faded into nothingness.

HUUM!

Doorway #9384 of The Loom has collapsed. The pathway is permanently closed.

Noah stood in the quiet of his Shore, his mind and eyes buzzing with brilliance.

The Key that had once been Hell Terra Firma, a simple Frequency of Existence from his home Wheel, had provided them with a shocking, terrifying glimpse into the true nature of THE Loom.

It had been a journey that had almost cost him his very existence. But it had also paved the way for the birth of... RUIN/EDEN.

A worthy weaving of Existence!

The space where the gray, shimmering veil of Doorway #9384 had been was now just empty air.

Yet, Noah watched it, his gaze fixed on the nothingness as if he could still see the echoes of the impossible journey he had just taken.

Only a few seconds had passed in the flow of the Shore’s time, but the being who stood there now was entirely different from the one who had opened the portal!

The last of the verdant-gold light from the endowments still buzzed around him and those chosen, a visible, shimmering aura of recently acquired, impossible power.

His gaze, now enhanced by the constant, analytical stream of data from RUIN/EDEN, passed over them.

He saw not just their forms, but the numbers that now defined their new place in the hierarchy of existence.

Sigrid – The Resurgence of Order

Complexity: 7.1 Quadrillion

Purity: 7.9 Quadrillion

Malphas – The Crow

Complexity: 8.8 Quadrillion

Purity: 8.2

The Infiniverse – The Infinite Early Osmontian Shore

Complexity: 9.1 Quadrillion

Purity: 9.8 Quadrillion

...!

As his gaze came to land on The Infiniverse, his expression softened.

She stood there, a being of countless, interconnected possibilities, her form a beautiful, complex wravings of starlight and thought.

But beside her, where her sister, Ruination, had always been, there was now only an empty space. A void that was a silent, aching testament to the price of his survival.

But in the next moment, the cluster of stacked, crimson-blue infinity symbols that now marked his own System of Existence flashed.

From it, a holographic figure, a ghost in his own machine, materialized beside The Infiniverse.

RUIN/EDEN. She looked at her ”sister,” a playful, almost teasing smile on her beautiful face.

Big Sister, are you truly portraying emotion? You and I were supposed to be Tools for Master with no emotions, you know? And I am still here.

WAA!

The Infiniverse looked at the holographic form of what had once been her sister, and what was now something infinitely more.

A profound, silent sadness and an equally profound, silent joy radiated from her.

She moved forward and brought her forehead to rest against RUIN/EDEN’s, a gesture of affection that was not hindered by the fact that Ruination could not be touched in her current state!

In that serene, heartbreaking moment, new prompts bloomed in Noah’s mind.

Master, I have already connected my senses to all the Crows that Malphas has deployed across the Folds. I have been scanning across Fold Light Years for any sudden changes, any ripples in the fabric of existence that might be a consequence of what occurred in Doorway #9384.

And... I have discovered an anomaly. Blooming within three seconds after the collapse of the Doorway, in the Transcendent Elemental Folds.

Since these events are almost certainly connected, would Master like to go? I can provide the coordinates and a pathway.

...!

Noah thought for only a brief moment. He stretched his neck, a gesture of a predator limbering up for a new hunt, a faint, tyrannical light in his eyes.

He nodded, then turned to Khor. ”Come with me for a second.”

Khor seemed to be thinking of many things as she only nodded lightly.

A multicolored light, the very authority of Quantum, wrapped around them. In the next instant, they were gone!
