Chapter 2069: The Infamous Grey Dawson

“Who are you?” The Ninth stage Gnome asked.

Grey was naturally not going to respond to his question, he casually tossed the dead Seventh stage Gnome to the ground like a piece of stone before once again advancing towards the cave. This time, no one else dared to make a move.

Even the Ninth stage Sovereign was at a loss on what to do, but it was only for a second when the thought of the punishment he would face if they did not deliver this item. Without any hesitation, he instantly brought out a Peak Sovereign puppet, sending it after Grey.

Grey, who was about to step into the cave, was pleased with the development as this was exactly what he hoped for. Turning around to face the puppet, he was relieved it was not like the type he faced when he attacked the mercenaries. Knowing this was his only opportunity to kill this Ninth stage Sovereign, he acted swiftly.

His powerful spiritual sense spread out, and like a knife, it sliced the link between the puppet and the Gnome, temporarily leaving the Gnome incapacitated.

When Grey’s powerful spiritual sense spread out, the Gnome suddenly felt dread and realized who he was up against. He wanted to sever the connection himself, giving him a better chance to survive, but it was too late.

Both the Gnome and the puppet froze in place, while Grey’s figure vanished in an instant.

There were around ten Eighth stage Sovereigns present among the almost five hundred people here. With their abilities, they were able to instantly see that something went wrong. Understanding they could not afford to lose the Ninth stage Sovereign, they all moved out at once.

An Eighth stage Sovereign among the Gnomes roared, “Grey if you dare, we will fillet your entire lineage!”

Grey was not someone who had ever cared about threats, especially when he was on the verge of killing an enemy. His figure appeared before the Gnome, and he placed his hand on the head of the Gnome, crushing it with sheer force.

Grey’s brutality made a few of the Eighth stage Sovereigns rushing forward slow down their pace.

“One move.”

The two times Grey has made a move, he only makes one move. One move in two encounters and both opponents ended up dead. Just the thought alone frightened the Eighth stage Sovereigns.

Those with weaker cultivation were all aghast at the scene of the Gnome being killed with such ease.

“How is he so strong?” The young man from the Faction blurted out in fear.

He was not the only one who felt this way. Almost every single individual present felt the same thing. When Grey had previously killed the Seventh stage Sovereign Gnome, they all attributed it to him being a Ninth stage Sovereign. Now, even against a Ninth stage Sovereign, he was still able to kill his opponent without them putting up much of a fight.

“Grey… Grey… Grey…” The Faction Leader suddenly mumbled repeatedly before his eyes widened with shock as he yelled, “He’s Grey Dawson!”

The Faction Leader’s voice was not low, so everyone heard him clearly. When the Eighth stage Sovereign Gnome made a move, he mentioned Grey, which sounded familiar to most of these people. Even without the Faction Leader pointing it out, everyone else would have still figured it out in a short time given Grey’s infamy among the Gnomes and Necromancers.

“Kill him!” The Eighth stage Sovereign Gnome did not want to give Grey the chance to kill another one of their top experts.

The Faction Leader who was the only Eighth stage Sovereign who did not make a move at first, rushed out this time to launch the attack against Grey.

Grey flung the corpse of the Gnome at the Eighth stage Sovereign Gnome before switching places with a random man who was only a Third stage Sovereign. When Grey appeared in the same position the man used to be, he attacked without saying a word.

Ice shards suddenly struck out, stabbing into the unsuspecting victims around him. None of them expected him to suddenly appear there, so they were not prepared. Those closest to him were the ones who suffered the most, with three having their heads pierced; dying on the spot. A few others were seriously wounded while those on the outer regions were able to survive without sustaining any significant injuries.

After doing this, before everyone could come to terms with what happened, Grey switched places again with a First stage Sovereign from another group, launching out attacks after attacks.

Shrieks of pain and horror quickly filled the entire forest, creating an unsettling chaos.

With the rising chaos, more opportunities arose for Grey to kill even more of the enemies. In a matter of ten seconds, at least fifty people were dead, while over a hundred were heavily wounded. Although most of them were in the Early stages of the Sovereign Plane, it was still a testament of Grey’s terrifying destructive power in such a situation.

“Everyone spread out!”

“Spread out!”

The leaders of each group gathered quickly ordered as they saw how easy it was for Grey to kill and injure so many of their men.

The people reacted accordingly, also understanding how dangerous it was for them to group together. Even after separating, they were all still wary of the closest person to them.

Grey clicked his tongue when he saw this, he knew that although his ability to switch places with weaker people was quite overpowered against numbers, it can also be easily countered by splitting up. This was the reason why he made sure he wanted to kill as many as possible before his opponents regained their bearings and spread out.

“How can you act so shamelessly, attacking those weaker than you?” An Eighth stage Sovereign asked, pointing his finger at Grey. This man was a middle-aged man who was dressed in green. He had a long goatee and slim face which was a little eye-catching.

“You’re the one with numbers, why are you complaining?” Grey did not even spare the man another glance as his eyes scanned the forest like a predatory beast searching for the weakness of his prey.
