Checking in for 100,000 Years

Chapter 502: Chapter 502: Unveiling a Mysterious Corner

”Yes, sir!,” the youth in black robes replied with a respectful fist-clasp and a smile.

This Divine Sovereign Realm senior handled matters in a way that made him feel as if bathed in a spring breeze. This only increased the immense admiration he felt for this senior.

Ye Yun, along with Ji Wushuang, disappeared from the spot in an instant, leaving only the youth in black robes behind.

”I can’t believe it! This mission went so smoothly; we found the Purple Gold Pipe in less than a year. When I return, the Demon Lord will surely reward me,” the youth in black robes said, standing still as a joyful smile spread across his face.

But his happiness was short-lived.

His joy soon vanished, replaced by a gloomy expression.

They all say that once you enter the Forbidden Zone of the Hidden Dragon, you’ll receive a mysterious Curse. After I get out, my path to cultivation... might come to an end.

The youth in black robes sighed, his face turning bitter as an indescribable depression filled his heart.

He looked around at the countless weak cultivators slaying strange creatures in the fog. His eyes grew clouded, and the black mark between his eyebrows shimmered constantly.

It seemed he was on the verge of Demonization.

The Yuandemon clan, ordinarily not much different from humans, transformed into ferocious Giant Demons upon the activation of the mark on their foreheads, their combat strength increasing multifold.

PFFT!

Suddenly, as if a thought struck him, the youth in black robes deflated. He took a deep breath and said with lingering fear, I was almost controlled by the Heart Demon. If I had started a killing spree, I’m afraid that senior would have taken my life before I even made a move.

After shaking his head and laughing bitterly for a few seconds, he dutifully sat cross-legged in mid-air, formed a Hand Seal, and began to meditate quietly.

「...」

At this moment, Ye Yun, with Ji Wushuang, had passed through the one hundred and eighth Heavenly Mechanism Tower and was flying towards the deepest part of the Nether Immortal Ancient Land.

Ye Yun needed to go to the world barrier of the Nether Immortal Ancient Land.

This Miniature World had a barrier at its furthest point, which was Ye Yun’s destination.

In his hand, Ye Yun clutched a yellowed map: the Ancient Dragon Cave Map.

Originally, the Ancient Dragon Cave Map was with the Big Black Cat, but Ye Yun had taken it while they were en route.

The entirety of the Nether Immortal Ancient Land was under Ye Yun’s Divine Sense probe.

Near the eightieth Heavenly Mechanism Tower, there was a majestic mountain range that bore some resemblance to a certain terrain on the Ancient Dragon Cave Map.

However, the resemblance was only about thirty to forty percent; there was no definite connection between it and the Ancient Dragon Cave Map.

Yet, a place at the world barrier of the Nether Immortal Ancient Land had caught Ye Yun’s attention.

The reason he chose to fly rather than tear through space was simple: for a powerhouse of the Divine Sovereign Realm like Ye Yun, there was no difference in speed.

To Ye Yun, the Nether Immortal Ancient Land wasn’t large. Flying across it would take merely the time of a single breath, almost equivalent to tearing through space.

”We’re here,” Ye Yun announced, suddenly stopping after a moment.

So terrifying! Master’s speed is too fast! Ji Wushuang thought, shocked.

Just now, as his Master carried him in flight, he had experienced an extreme speed—the kind one might only achieve by tearing through space.

A flying speed comparable to tearing through space was truly terrifying.

”Have you been to this place before?,” Ye Yun asked with a smile.

In front of them, a towering black mountain that soared into the clouds had been cleanly split in half.

At the fracture, Spatial Power raged like a stormy tide, incredibly turbulent.

”Master, I’ve never been here before,” Ji Wushuang replied, shaking his head repeatedly. He looked at the terrifying spatial storm oscillating before him, the dreadful power it emitted making him shudder.

The spatial storm at the vertical fracture of the black mountain contained incredibly violent Spatial Power; even a True God would find it difficult to withstand if they entered.

At my True God Realm First Level, I’d probably be torn apart if I went in.

Ye Yun nodded.

He raised the Ancient Dragon Cave Map in his hand, comparing it to the black mountain before them.

Intrigued, Ji Wushuang leaned in closer to look at his Master’s ancient map. He was very well-behaved; seeing that his Master remained silent, he refrained from asking any questions.

Upon closer, more detailed comparison, Ye Yun’s expression gradually turned serious.

This mountain was almost an exact match to the one marked on the Ancient Dragon Cave Map.

This meant the world recorded on the Ancient Dragon Cave Map was indeed likely the Sumeru Dark Realm.

Millions of years ago, the Spirit Army of the Divine Land and the Dragon Clan Army, led by the Taixu Ancient Dragon—one of the Ten Super Divine Dragons—waged an earth-shattering battle in the Sumeru Dark Realm.

Faced with the aggressive Spirit Army, the Taixu Ancient Dragon deployed the mysterious sword sheath, which had been sealed in this place by the Ancestor Dragon. He swept through his enemies, conquering all before him. Countless Spirits stained the void with their blood, falling victim to the sword sheath.

It was hard to imagine how fierce a battle between God King-level powerhouses would be, especially when that mysterious sword sheath was used.

Ye Yun quietly speculated...

After that mysterious sword sheath was used, I fear the Sumeru Dark Realm must have been cut into tatters.

The Nether Immortal Ancient Land where they are now must be just one fragment of the Sumeru Dark Realm.

As for that mysterious sword sheath, it must be the sheath of the Blood-colored Broken Sword that the Ancestor Dragon sealed on the Moon Star.

Both the sword sheath and the broken sword possessed supreme prowess and were filled with a peculiar power. This was why the Ancestor Dragon had sealed them separately.

Ye Yun had also noticed that many of the strange creatures had long red and black fur, with more red fur than black.

This implies that the peculiar power this sword sheath possesses differs slightly from that of the Blood-colored Broken Sword.

Perhaps this sword sheath can even counteract the Blood-colored Broken Sword.

That’s why the Ancestor Dragon must have sealed it separately in this place.

Various thoughts flitted across Ye Yun’s mind.

Thinking back to the countless earth-shattering battles that took place on this continent millions of years ago, Ye Yun, as someone from a later generation, couldn’t help but sigh with emotion.

As for the outcome—who won or lost—of the battle within the Sumeru Dark Realm, it no longer mattered now.

After all, the Dragon Clan is on the verge of extinction in this world.

The real victors are the Spirits of the Divine Land.

However, recalling the Black Dragon King’s instructions inside Cloud Mark Cave, Ye Yun began to ponder once more.

If the Sumeru Dark Realm has indeed been shattered, then the location of that ancient prison is likely unknown, perhaps hidden within one of these small fragments.

Ye Yun once again picked up the yellowed Ancient Dragon Cave Map in his hand and began to study it carefully.

Could it be...

Ye Yun looked at the treasure location marked on the Ancient Dragon Cave Map, and a guess suddenly formed in his mind.

Perhaps this treasure location has some connection to that prison.

With a flick of his hand, Ye Yun put away the Ancient Dragon Cave Map.

The gains from this trip to the Nether Immortal Ancient Land had been unimaginably great.

The greatest reward was rescuing my most beloved fourth disciple, Ji Wushuang.

At the same time, I also uncovered a mysterious corner of the Sumeru Dark Realm.

I also learned that the great battle between the Taixu Ancient Dragon and the Spirit Army was fought to contend for that mysterious sword sheath.

”Let’s go!,” Ye Yun said, letting out a light breath. He took Ji Wushuang back to the airspace above the large lake near the one hundred and eighth Heavenly Mechanism Tower.

Seeing the young man in black dutifully sitting cross-legged in mid-air with his eyes closed, Ye Yun couldn’t help but chuckle in amusement.

This young fellow, who claimed to be from the Demon Clan, was supposed to be an extremely brutal character.

Yet, after being intimidated by him, he had become remarkably obedient.

”Wushuang, I’m going to the Divine Land. Please protect those few disciples from the Dragon God Sect in secret for me,” Ye Yun instructed Ji Wushuang with a smile.
