Kids to Feed, Husband to Flee, This Is How My Tycoon Life Would Be!

Chapter 28

Suspicion

As Nie Shuang ate, she listened carefully to his plan. For the first time, they were having a civil conversation. Song Qilin, abandoning the strict table manners he had adhered to since childhood, spoke excitedly while eating. Whenever she asked for details, he eagerly explained.

He had meticulously prepared everything, thinking of almost every aspect for her. All she had to do was step into that carriage, and she wouldn’t have a care in the world...

Nie Shuang hesitated but quickly brushed the thought aside. She wasn’t ready for romantic love at this time. First, she needed to find her footing in this land. By then, they would likely be strangers.

Forget it...Let fate decide...

”Nie Shuang, come here. I have something to show you.”

After they finished eating, he took her hand and led her into the bedroom. She felt uneasy but didn’t want to disappoint him, seeing how excited he was. He unlocked a cabinet and pulled out four or five small boxes, placing them on the table.

”I prepared these for you. See if you like them. If not, I’ll take you shopping before we leave.”

Nie Shuang opened the boxes one by one. Inside were delicate and beautiful sets of jewelry, crafted by master artisans. The pieces were exquisitely intricate and must have cost a fortune.

”I don’t spend much on myself. So, I bought these for you with my savings. You’re a woman, so I thought you’d like beautiful things. From now on, I’ll let you manage the household funds. I’m sure you’ve learned a lot from your father. You can handle all my wealth as you see fit.”

Nie Shuang’s hands itched with temptation. How much wealth did this fool have?! The jewelry alone was hard to value. Even though she had recently traveled back in time, her business instincts were still sharp. She could easily tell that these weren’t ordinary pieces that just anyone could afford. And now, he wanted her to manage his fortune! The salary from his official position wasn’t much, but as the heir of the Yong An Hou, with generations of wealth behind him, his assets were beyond estimation. She practically salivated at the sight of this golden goose but had to reluctantly decline.

”Qilin, I’m not worthy of these. Please keep them.”

She lowered her eyes and refused in shame.

His sharp eyes immediately lit up, sensing something amiss.

”Why?”

There must be a reason why she suddenly acting ashamed.

”It’s nothing...I just...”

”You’re hiding something from me.”

Uh-oh! This guy wasn’t as dumb as she thought! Nie Shuang startled, her hands turning cold as his gaze seemed to pierce through her. The more she tried to conceal, the more suspicious she looked. Frantically, she thought up an excuse.

”I...I just feel guilty for not letting you touch me, yet you...you give me such valuable gifts without hesitation.”

It was a believable excuse, and Song Qilin’s gaze softened. Nie Shuang secretly breathed a sigh of relief, but before she could rejoice in her survival, he said with a deep and low voice.

”If you feel guilty... why wait any longer?”

As he finished speaking, his face turned bright red. Nie Shuang was stunned for a moment, and when she understood the implication, her own face flushed as well. Both of them stood there in silence, avoiding each other’s gaze. Eventually, Song Qilin reached out his hands first and pulled her into an embrace. Nie Shuang froze, unsure of how to react, but finally, she relaxed and gave in.

Oh well...He’s being sincere, and besides, she’d be leaving soon. Letting him have his way just this once shouldn’t hurt...

But it seemed to be the wrong decision. The moment she returned his hug, he advanced even further.

He was gentle yet passionate, lifting her off her feet as he kissed her deeply. Nie Shuang let out a soft gasp of surprise as his hot tongue slid into her mouth, entangling with hers in a hungry, fervent kiss. The intensity of it made her dizzy, like being intoxicated by a strong liquor. Before she knew it, she was being laid down on the bed, the bed curtains not even drawn. Slowly, he began to undress her, piece by piece, until her full, graceful figure was revealed to his eyes. Song Qilin gazed at her with deep affection and admiration.

The sunlight streaming into the room bathed her fair, smooth skin in a warm glow. Nie Shuang blushed deeply, her skin flushing a rosy hue. Even though he had already stripped her bare, his eyes roamed over her body with such heated intensity that she wanted to hide her face in the bed.

She knew her figure was desirable, but did he really have to stare at her like that!?

“Don’t look!”

She glared at him while her cheeks were burning bright red. She looked so endearing that he let out a low, amused chuckle before leaning down to cover her body with his own.

“Mm...I won’t look, but I will devour...”

For some reason, his words made Nie Shuang’s entire body flush with heat, as if she had suddenly come down with a fever. He really was going to devour her. His rough hands roamed her body, and as he touched her smooth, soft skin, he groaned in satisfaction. His lips moved from her earlobe, trailing kisses down to the crook of her neck before playfully teasing her ample breasts with a lover’s affection. Nie Shuang moaned sweetly, feeling waves of heat spread from her core throughout her body. He kissed and licked every inch of her, awakening desires she had tried to suppress. Before long, she was more than ready, and she didn’t even realize when he pressed himself inside her.

“Ahh! It hurts!”

Nie Shuang frowned as she felt the searing, overwhelming sensation of him slowly entering her. Even though they had been intimate before, her body still wasn’t fully accustomed to his size. He spread her slender legs wide, but still, it was difficult for him to fit inside. She felt both a tight pressure and an intense pleasure, gripping his broad shoulders tightly. He kissed her cheek soothingly, his strong body tensed with restraint. Though she was ready, the difference in their sizes made it necessary for him to go slow and allow her time to adjust.

“Nie Shuang...Are you okay now...?”

He asked, his voice husky with tension, as if he was in agony. Her beautiful, enticing face was red with desire as she moaned softly in response.

“Mmm...”

Her voice was both languid and seductive, making Song Qilin nearly lose all self-control. He moved carefully at first, gradually picking up speed. The atmosphere in the room grew heated, filled only with the sounds of their rhythmic movements and the soft moans of the two lovers. It took a long while before the storm of passion subsided. Nie Shuang lay there, completely drained, barely able to move a finger, while Song Qilin remained close, nuzzling her affectionately.

”Nie Shuang, my love...Can we go another round?”

He had longed for her for so long that it felt like it would suffocate him. Nie Shuang blinked slowly, her eyes meeting his intense, glimmering gaze, her heart was softened.

”Alright...but please...be gentle...”

Earlier, when the passion had been at its peak, he had gone too deep and used too much force, making her press her hands against his firm abdomen to brace herself. Thinking back on it, Nie Shuang blushed, feeling a twinge of heat in her lower belly.

Meanwhile, Xiao San and A’Yi had been waiting for their mistress the entire afternoon, but there was no sign of her leaving the room. A’Yi sat chatting with A’Qi, while Xiao San returned to Lian Fang Quarters alone, instinctively preparing clothes and necessities for Nie Shuang.Sigh...It seemed their Young Furen wouldn’t be returning to her quarters tonight after all...
