Suddenly, I Am Rich

Gray grabbed his phone in the speed of light.

His fingers fumbled unlocking it as the thought clicked harder into his head. The system did remind him to check, but he was so busy that the thought slipped from his mind.

”Please don’t tank, please don’t tank, please don’t tank...”

As he repeatedly said those words, he opened the VaultFox app.

His heart was thudding loudly that he could hear it in the silence.

He tapped in his PIN, swiped past the splash screen, and waited for it to load.

The screen blinked.

[SOLARBYTE (SBT)]

Gray’s mouth opened slowly.

”Holy sh—”

He didn’t even finish the curse. Before his eyes snapped at the second one.

[NEOX (NX)]

Gray’s jaw dropped open.

He covered his mouth with one hand.

”What is happening today.”

He felt like laughing. Or screaming. Or maybe both at the same time. His balance had just casually crossed $60,000.

Gray closed his eyes and took a breath. He took a one, deep inhale.

Then—

He burst out laughing.

”Hahahahaha”

He couldn’t help it.

”I’m gonna die. I’m gonna die. This is so stupid. This is so stupid—and I love it.”

Gray wiped the corner of his eye. He was still chuckling like an idiot.

He stared at the screen again. He made $53,372.28 in Solarbyte alone.

What even was this coin? The system told him it would rise, but he didn’t expect for it to quadruple!

”This is messed up,” he whispered.

But good messed up. The kind you wouldn’t complain about.

He sat there, breathing in the moment like it was something he could bottle up. Then slowly, the grin faded on his face.

”Alright...” Gray leaned forward with his elbows on the table and phone in his hands.

”Should I sell or hold...” he muttered.

It was a question that, even he, was unsure to answer. If he hold unto it too long, he might regret it. But also, what if it continues to rise even more?

Gray exhaled through his nose. He tapped around the chart, watching the candlesticks bounce like a heartbeat. It was already up 410 percent. He knew that this kind of rise wouldn’t last for so long.

”Don’t be greedy, dumbass.” He rubbed his face with one hand as he muttered those words,

And besides, even if it went up more, he had no idea how to time it.

”Okay...” With one sigh, he thought of what to do.

He’d sell half and keep the rest in just in case it would rise again. He wanted to diversify his investments, now with Golden Fingers backing him up.

Gray opened the trade panel quickly as he made up his mind.

Sell Order: Solarbyte (SBT)

Amount: 401.24 coins

Market Price: $66.51

Total: $26,686.14

He hovered for a second.

Then tapped [Confirm].

A second passed. Then the number blinked.

Sold.

Just like that, his wallet updated.

[Current Available Balance: $26,686.14]

”Okay,” he said again, softer this time. ”That’s nice.”

He flipped to the market overview tab, scrolling slowly now. He wasn’t in a rush anymore.

”Let’s see where I should invest next.”

Gray leaned back in his seat. His heart was still buzzing with the afterglow of the profit lingering like adrenaline in his veins. But now came the tricky part.

”Okay,” he muttered again, this time to himself, pulling up the Market Overview tab on VaultFox.

”Let’s be smart about this.”

Under the market overview, there’s a bunch of tabs to choose from.

[Top Gainers]

[Top Losers]

[Mid-Cap Movers]

[Emerging Markets]

[Stablecoin Yield Pools]

He skipped over the top gainers. The high-risk already had their fun. Gray wanted something steadier this time. Something with room to grow, but not too crazy.

He tapped into [Mid-Cap Movers]. A list popped up, each coin name paired with its chart, market cap, daily volume, and current price.

[CARRYTECH (CYT)]

Current Price: $3.21

7-Day Change: ▲ +22.5%

Market Cap: $140M

”...Hey,” Gray blinked. ”This is not bad.”

[VIRENCO (VRC)]

Current Price: $1.12

7-Day Change: ▲ +12.3%

Market Cap: $72M

Then something new caught his eye.

[RENDEN (RDN)]

Current Price: $4.76

7-Day Change: ▲ +8.7%

Market Cap: $280M

Gray tapped into the coin’s profile. Renden focused on decentralized AI model training. Not just hype, but they have actual functionality. In today’s time, several open-source devs were using it for small-scale machine learning training with distributed hardware nodes.

”Alright, Renden,” Gray murmured. ”You seem like a good choice.”

He scrolled deeper into its summary.

The company’s partners weren’t big names, but the chart showed stable growth and consistent trade volume.

He added it to his watchlist.

Next.

[BAYSHORE (BAY)]

Current Price: $2.97

7-Day Change: ▼ -2.1%

Market Cap: $390M

”Mm.” Gray tapped his fingers against the edge of his phone. ”You’re down for the week... but the long-term?” He toggled the view to the 1-year trend.

[1-Year Change: ▲ +92.4%]

Bayshore focused on converting real estate assets, malls, parking lots, storage units, into tokens tradable like stocks. It had a solid community and recent funding from some real estate firms.

He rubbed his chin, staring at the graph like it owed him an answer.

”Okay. Bayshore and Renden.” He exhaled. ”Let’s build something nice.”

Gray opened his wallet and allocated his funds.

Buy Order: RENDEN (RDN)

Expected: ~1890 coins

Buy Order: BAYSHORE (BAY)

He left a small buffer, just under $8,000 in cash just so he can have spare money if he wanted to invest more later on.

[Confirm Transaction?]

He paused only for a moment, then pressed it.

[Processing...]

[Order Complete.]

The screen blinked, and the balances adjusted. It was done.

Gray leaned back and let the phone fall gently onto the table. He stared at the ceiling.

He was still breathing a little too fast.

”This is getting crazy,” he whispered.
