Return of the Celestial King

Zhang Xiaoqian’s jaw dropped and her eyes went wide. ’What is going on?’

Seeing that Qian Xuanyu had absolutely no reaction, Qian Dekang became furious and immediately kicked him.

”You bastard, didn’t you hear me? Hurry up and apologize to Mr. Qin!”

His voice was like a clap of thunder, scaring Qian Xuanyu into dropping to his knees.

THUD!

Qian Xuanyu was terrified. ’Since when has Dad ever been this furious?’

In that instant, he understood that he was in deep, deep trouble.

”Mr. Qin, please, calm your anger! I was blind and offended you. I’m begging you, please forgive me!”

Qian Xuanyu kowtowed repeatedly, apologizing as he trembled.

Seeing that Qin Tuo showed no reaction, Qian Dekang grew anxious.

He also hurried forward and bowed deeply.

”Mr. Qin, please calm your anger. This is all my fault for failing to discipline him properly. Please, don’t take it to heart.”

Zhang Xiaoqian, standing to the side, still looked completely dumbfounded. Qian Dekang roared in anger.

”What are you still standing there gawking for? Don’t you know to pour Mr. Qin some tea? Are you blind?”

Zhang Xiaoqian shuddered, her head spinning. She couldn’t understand why the situation had suddenly reversed so dramatically.

But since Qian Dekang had spoken, she could only obey meekly.

Now, she was so scared she didn’t even dare to glance at Qin Tuo.

Qian Dekang’s heart pounded with anxiety as he stood to the side, like a student silently awaiting punishment from his teacher.

Suddenly, Qin Tuo asked doubtfully,

”How do you know me?”

Qian Dekang immediately forced a smile and explained,

”A man as important as you has much on his mind, Mr. Qin. Have you forgotten? Last time at the antique market, you were nearly ripped off by that clueless shop owner. I spoke up for you, and later, Master Long even came to clear the place out...”

He said this with a fawning smile, clearly trying to force a connection with Qin Tuo.

Understanding dawned on Qin Tuo, and he finally remembered who this Qian Dekang was.

Seeing that Qin Tuo had finally remembered him, Qian Dekang breathed a heavy sigh of relief.

He then asked obsequiously,

”Mr. Qin, what brings you here today?”

With a cold expression, Qin Tuo handed over the bill in his hand.

”See for yourself. I’m here to collect a debt.”

’Collect a debt?’

Qian Dekang looked completely confused as he took the ledger and glanced at it.

Instantly, his face grew darker and darker the more he read!

Qian Xuanyu knew his deeds had come to light and trembled in fear as he knelt on the floor.

After reading it, Qian Dekang was so angry his teeth were grinding together!

”You bastard! Didn’t I already give you the money to settle these accounts? Why are they still here? Where did that money go!”

Saying this, he was so furious he moved to slap him again, causing Qian Xuanyu to shrink back in fear.

With a tear-streaked face, Qian Xuanyu said,

”Dad, I was wrong, I was really wrong. I took the money and blew it all on women and wine.”

Hearing this, Qian Dekang froze, his face turning ashen with rage.

Even Qin Tuo couldn’t help but shake his head and sigh softly.

’Sigh, what a complete spendthrift.’

”You unfilial son! I’m going to kill you today!”

Qian Dekang suddenly roared, grabbed the nearest object, and began to frantically beat Qian Xuanyu with it.

Qian Xuanyu cried out in pain but didn’t dare to dodge, only begging for mercy.

”Dad, stop hitting me! I know I was wrong, I was really wrong...”

Zhang Xiaoqian cowered in a corner, not daring to speak up and plead for her boyfriend.

Qian Dekang cursed furiously as he beat him.

”You’re worse than an animal! I handed the company over to you, and you’ve completely destroyed it!”

After a thorough beating, Qian Xuanyu was bruised and swollen, his breathing weak.

Qin Tuo, watching from the side, couldn’t help but comment.

”Boss Qian, it seems you can’t afford to be such a hands-off manager!”

Qian Dekang’s face flushed red with embarrassment, and he nodded repeatedly.

”Yes, yes, Mr. Qin is right. This is all my fault for my poor discipline. As for the debt, I’ll pay it back to you immediately!”

Qin Tuo nodded and stood up.

”Alright. Once you’ve paid the money, my business here is done and I can leave.”

With that, he provided Qian Dekang with the company’s account information.

Qin Tuo then added another instruction.

”By the way, the total debt is two and a half million. I expect it to be in the account within the hour.”

Qian Dekang didn’t dare to argue, just nodded again and again in agreement.

Just then, Qian Xuanyu, his face beaten to a pulp, suddenly cried out,

”Wait a minute! I only owed two million. How did it become two and a half million?”

Qin Tuo sneered.

”The extra is five hundred thousand in interest. That’s not too excessive, is it?”

Qian Dekang’s heart trembled with fear, but he kept a sycophantic smile on his face.

”Not at all, not at all! We’ll do exactly as you say, Mr. Qin!”

However, Qian Xuanyu couldn’t help but mutter,

”Five hundred thousand in interest... this is clearly loan-sharking!”

’He felt it was incredibly unfair. He was always the one charging others interest; since when did someone start charging him?’

Qin Tuo said coldly,

”So you do know what loan-sharking is. When you and your girlfriend were extorting my sister with high-interest loans, did you ever think this day would come for you?”

Qian Xuanyu was instantly speechless, unable to say a word.

Zhang Xiaoqian hung her head low, looking as if she had a guilty conscience.

Hearing what Qin Tuo said, Qian Dekang was utterly enraged.

He flew into a rage again, landing a heavy kick on Qian Xuanyu’s head!

”You little bastard! You’ve completely disgraced the Qian Family! If I ever find out you’ve done something like this again, I swear I’ll kill you!”

Qian Xuanyu screamed loudly, begging frantically for mercy.

Seeing that the matter was settled, Qin Tuo stood up to leave.

Qian Dekang immediately bowed and scraped, saying with a smile,

”Mr. Qin, allow me to see you out?”

With that, he shot a vicious glare at Qian Xuanyu and Zhang Xiaoqian before respectfully escorting Qin Tuo out.

Once the two had left, Zhang Xiaoqian rushed to help Qian Xuanyu up.

”Honey, are you okay?”

Her face was full of concern. ’After all, Qian Xuanyu is my cash cow; he absolutely can’t collapse.’

SLAP!

In a fit of rage, Qian Xuanyu slapped Zhang Xiaoqian across the face.

”Honey, why did you hit me...?”

Zhang Xiaoqian held her face, her eyes filled with grievance.

Qian Xuanyu was seething!

”You damn bitch! You’re a fucking jinx! You’re the one who got me into this mess! If you hadn’t gone and tried to loan-shark someone, would we be in this trouble today?”

It was Zhang Xiaoqian who had planted the idea in his head, telling him she knew some loan-sharking thugs and suggesting that Qian Xuanyu put up the money to partner with them.

Qian Xuanyu had spent all the company’s money and was worried about how to recoup it, so he agreed without hesitation. He never expected to mess with the wrong person today.

Zhang Xiaoqian’s eyes filled with tears as she apologized repeatedly.

”I’m sorry, honey, I didn’t know... I had no idea he was such a big shot!”

But Qian Xuanyu refused to listen to her excuses and threatened viciously,

”You find a way to cough up that extra five hundred thousand today. If you don’t, I’ll find some men to gang-rape you!”

After saying his piece, he limped out.

Zhang Xiaoqian collapsed onto the floor, her face a mask of shock.
