Return of the Celestial King

Liu Juan nodded and smiled.

”Of course, it’s true. The big boss on the sixth floor has taken a fancy to you. He’s waiting for you to go have a drink with him!”

The color drained from Han Zilin’s face, and her expression grew strained.

But Liu Juan paid her no mind and continued,

”Listen, that big boss is an incredibly powerful man. If you take good care of him, he might get so happy that he pays off all your online loans in one fell swoop!”

Han Zilin had been worried, but her heart leaped with joy when she heard this.

Heaven knew how suffocating the weight of those online loans felt!

When they reached the sixth floor, Liu Juan led Han Zilin into the Imperial Suite.

Inside the suite sat a pot-bellied, balding middle-aged man with a thick gold chain around his neck. He was pouring himself a glass of expensive red wine.

The boss looked up, and his eyes instantly lit up.

Without a doubt, he was completely captivated by Han Zilin’s beauty.

”Come, come, sit here with me!”

Han Zilin looked timid and hesitated to go over.

She normally worked part-time as a greeter at the club to earn money; she had never had to drink with a customer like this.

But today, Liu Juan had told her an important guest required her company, promising a handsome reward if she kept him happy.

Considering this, Han Zilin had reluctantly agreed.

But now, as she stepped into the suite and felt its intimate, suggestive atmosphere, Han Zilin was instantly filled with regret.

Seeing Han Zilin’s timid, rabbit-like demeanor only made the boss more aroused.

He coughed twice.

”Liu Juan, you can leave now.”

Liu Juan nodded and bowed obsequiously, still smiling.

”Yes, of course, Boss Sun! Enjoy yourself!”

With that, she shot Han Zilin an encouraging look and quickly slipped out, closing the door behind her.

Once Liu Juan was gone, leaving just the two of them in the suite, the middle-aged man, Sun Dawei, became smug and audacious.

He offered Han Zilin a glass of red wine.

”Have a drink with me first, little miss. We’ll have our fun later!”

He said this with a lecherous grin.

Han Zilin’s heart trembled. She quickly shook her head and forced a smile.

”I’m sorry, Boss Sun, but I really don’t drink.”

Hearing this, Sun Dawei’s face immediately fell.

”Is this your first time doing this, little miss? You don’t even drink? Besides, you’ll learn as soon as you have some, won’t you?”

Seeing Han Zilin shrink back in silence, Sun Dawei sneered and pressed her further.

”Keep me happy, and I’ll give you a tip that’ll definitely make you satisfied. But if you displease me... Liu Juan should have told you about the consequences!”

Han Zilin was terrified. Feeling she had no choice, she picked up the glass with a pained expression and forced herself to drink.

It took her a full minute to finish the single glass of wine.

After she finished, her face turned bright red, and she felt nauseous, wanting to throw up.

Seeing that Han Zilin had finished the wine, a furtive glint of triumph flashed in Sun Dawei’s eyes.

His gaze grew bolder as he looked over Han Zilin’s sexy attire.

”Oh, right. Little miss, I heard you owe a lot in online loans?”

Sun Dawei continued pouring more wine as they talked, seeming not to be in any hurry.

Han Zilin’s head was already starting to feel fuzzy. She replied,

”Yes, Boss. I owe over two hundred thousand.”

Even Sun Dawei was a bit surprised. How could a student owe so much money?

He asked out of curiosity,

”How did you end up owing so much? Gambling?”

Han Zilin quickly shook her head and explained,

”No, I injured my leg while running at school. I didn’t dare tell my family because I was afraid of worrying my mom and becoming a burden. Later, a classmate talked me into taking out an online loan to treat the injury.”

Sun Dawei nodded.

”Not bad. So you’re a good, filial little girl!”

All the while, his eyes were brazenly roaming all over Han Zilin’s body.

Han Zilin’s words began to slur as she said,

”I thought I could pay it back with a month or so of part-time work, but who knew... with the compounding interest, that few thousand yuan snowballed into two hundred thousand!”

As she spoke, she began to sob sorrowfully.

”There, there, little miss, don’t cry!”

Sun Dawei waved his hand dismissively.

”Two hundred thousand? That’s nothing. It’s your lucky day that you ran into me!”

As he spoke, he pulled a checkbook from a designer leather bag beside him.

SWISH, SWISH, SWISH!

Sun Dawei wrote out a figure and handed the check to Han Zilin.

Han Zilin took one look at it, and the fogginess from the alcohol cleared slightly.

”T-Two hundred thousand!”

Sun Dawei laughed heartily and said breezily,

”Just stay with me from now until tomorrow morning, and that two hundred thousand is all yours. How about it?”

”What? It’s all mine?”

Han Zilin’s beautiful eyes went wide, and her breathing grew ragged.

Two hundred thousand was an astronomical sum to her. She had never seen so much money in her entire life.

Most importantly, if she got this money, she could finally pay off her online loans.

From then on, she would no longer be tormented by those overwhelming threats!

”I...”

Han Zilin opened her mouth, on the verge of agreeing.

But she immediately snapped it shut!

’No! If I do this, won’t I be completely debasing myself?’

Her heart was suddenly filled with indescribable anguish.

If this had happened before today, she might have just gritted her teeth and agreed.

But she had just run into Qin Tuo—the man who was always on her mind—and her heart was now in utter turmoil.

’No, absolutely not! If I do something like this, Brother Tu will definitely look down on me!’

Han Zilin told herself firmly.

At this thought, she gritted her teeth and forced herself to hand back the check.

”Hm? What’s the meaning of this?”

Sun Dawei narrowed his eyes slightly.

Han Zilin shook her head and said insistently,

”I’m sorry, Boss Sun. I can’t do something like that. Please forgive me.”

Sun Dawei was stunned. He never expected that a girl nowadays would refuse a sum like two hundred thousand. How rare!

However, looking at the beautiful and alluring Han Zilin, Sun Dawei wasn’t ready to give up.

He tried to coax her, saying,

”If two hundred thousand isn’t enough, I can buy you an apartment in the city. You can live there, and I’ll give you a hundred thousand a month to spend as you please. You’d only need to keep me company four or five times a month. How about it?”

The offer was extremely tempting. Most other girls would have accepted on the spot.

But after a moment’s thought, Han Zilin once again shook her head and refused.

”I’m sorry to disappoint you, Boss Sun. I don’t want to be kept by anyone; I just want to support myself through my own abilities.”

’Ungrateful fucking bitch!’

Sun Dawei was furious, cursing her silently.

He sneered to her face,

”Whether you agree today or not, it doesn’t matter. No woman I’ve ever wanted has managed to get away!”

Seeing Sun Dawei drop all pretense and reveal his vicious side, Han Zilin screamed in terror and scrambled to her feet, trying to escape.

Suddenly, she felt dizzy. A moment later, she lost consciousness and collapsed onto the sofa...
