Chaotic Sword God

Chapter 4018: Weapons Drawn

The two sides hovered three hundred metres apart, facing one another. One side was a single person, only a peak Xuan Immortal in cultivation.

The other side had over a dozen people who were all Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortals!

Jing Mumu stared at them calmly. She did not show any signs of panic or fear. She seemed to be extremely relaxed. She smiled gently. “This strand of Taiji spiritual Qi is very safe in my hands. On the other hand, you would be in danger if it ended up in your hands.”

The Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortals all furrowed their brows slightly when they saw how composed Jing Mumu was.

“Senior brother, this woman probably has quite the background. Otherwise, with her cultivation as a Xuan Immortal, how can she remain so calm in front of us?”

“Senior brother, let’s just let this strand of Taiji spiritual Qi go. This Xuan Immortal’s origins are probably quite impressive. After all, she’s bold enough to move alone, and she doesn’t fear us at all. That’s very abnormal…”

People had already begun communicating with their leader.

The leader furrowed his brows slightly and immediately scolded them. “Junior brothers and sisters, if you want to obtain anything in the Taiji mountain range, you can’t be so fearful. Opportunities don’t just fall into your lap. You’ll have to earn them through your own ability. I won’t be giving up on this strand of Taiji spiritual Qi.”

At this exact moment, numerous figures flickered across the nearby valley. A few more cultivators appeared, also ranging from Xuan Immortals to Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortals.

“Hmm? There’s a strand of Taiji spiritual Qi here…”

“We’ve finally found some Taiji spiritual Qi. The Taiji spiritual Qi is only growing rarer and rarer now. They’re basically claimed by experts as soon as they appear. We had no chance at all…”

The surrounding cultivators gathered over as they murmured. They all seemed to be very cautious.

“Our Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows discovered this strand of Taiji spiritual Qi first, so I do hope you can all do us a favour and not compete with us.” One of the Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortals with a bow on his back called out.

When they heard him mention the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows, everyone’s faces in the surroundings changed. They all became wary.

The Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows was one of the peak organisations of the Taiji Heaven. They had Immortal Exalts. An existence like that possessed great influence over the smaller organisations.

The surrounding cultivators all backed away. They did not want any conflict with the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows over a single strand of Taiji spiritual Qi.

“Lady, which sect do you belong to?” a disciple of the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows yelled out.

“Who cares what sect I’m from? If you want the Taiji spiritual Qi in my possession, then hurry up and come get it. Otherwise, I’m leaving.” After saying that, Jing Mumu really just turned around to leave like no one else was around.

“Hold on. Leave the Taiji spiritual Qi or forget about leaving this place.” A disciple of the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows bellowed, blocking Jing Mumu’s path with a flash. He drew his bow and a sharp presence locked onto her.

It was also at that moment that coldness flashed through Jing Mumu’s eyes. Icy killing intent vaguely appeared. Her presence underwent a sudden change like a sword had just been drawn from its sheath.

The disciple who blocked Jing Mumu’s path shivered inside. He actually developed a strange sense of fear. He felt like he was not facing a junior whose cultivation was far beneath his but a supreme expert in hiding.

In the distance, the other disciples of the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows watched closely. No one stopped them as if they wanted to probe her out with this person.

“Stop! People of the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows, if you dare to touch her, our Black Demon Palace will definitely make you pay a heavy price!”

Right when conflict was about to erupt between Jing Mumu and the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows, a loud yell rang out from afar. It erupted between the mountains like thunder.

As soon as the voice quietened, streaks of light shot over with great speed, heading straight towards Jing Mumu’s direction.

“The Black Demon Palace! It’s the disciples of the Black Demon Palace…”

“From how aggressive they seem, they seem to be coming for us. Since when did our Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows provoke the Black Demon Palace…”

......

…

Watching the group of over a hundred disciples from the Black Demon Palace approach them, the expressions of all of the disciples from the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows changed. Wariness and sternness filled their eyes.

The disciple who had his arrow drawn and locked onto Jing Mumu, ready to launch a startling attack, also panicked. He subconsciously looked in the direction of the disciples of the Black Demon Palace.

Jing Mumu was also surprised. Shortly afterwards, her sharp presence subsided slowly, and she returned to normal. She seemed like a regular Xuan Immortal.

“How bold of you, Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows. To think that you’d even threaten a guest of the Black Demon Palace!”

In an instant, all the disciples of the Black Demon Palace had already approached them. Ye Kai bellowed out and erupted with his cultivation as a peak Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortal, directly striking the disciple near Jing Mumu with a palm strike.

The disciple was also a Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortal, but he was only a mid Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortal. Faced with the strongest core disciple of the Black Demon Palace, he obviously stood no chance.

With a rumble, the disciple was knocked away by Ye Kai’s palm strike and began sputtering blood. The protective energy around him was as flimsy as paper. It collapsed instantly.

Seeing how Ye Kai had injured one of their disciples as soon as he arrived, the other disciples of the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows glared at him furiously. The leader could not help but bellow out, “Ye Kai, you better not take this too far. Our Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows had no idea she would be a guest of your Black Demon Palace.”

“I held back exactly in consideration of your ignorance. Otherwise, this mid Nine-heavenly Xuan Immortal of your Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows would not just be slightly injured.” Ye Kai stood in front of Jing Mumu and glared at these people coldly.

Ye Kai’s haughty attitude had completely infuriated these disciples from the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows.

“Our Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows might not be as great as your Black Demon Palace, but we’re still not to be trifled with…”

“Ye Kai, aren’t you being a little too arrogant? Your Black Demon Palace is still nowhere close to being untouchable on the Taiji Heaven.”

“Don’t forget that your Black Demon Palace still has mortal enemies. If you do this, aren’t you afraid that our Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows will work with them against your Black Demon Palace…”

A few disciples of the Immortal Sect of Divine Arrows spoke up indignantly and yelled out angrily.

When he heard that, Ye Kai sneered in disdain. “You want to work with the Blade Sect of Trickling Moon against our Black Demon Palace? Hmph, if this were a regular battle, then so be it, but if you want to get involved in our grievance with the Blade Sect of Tricking Moon, then we really won’t stop until one side is completely eradicated. I wonder if that is a consequence that you, mere core disciples, can afford to bear.”

The Blade Sect of Trickling Moon was also a peak organisation on the Taiji Heaven. They were equally matched with the Black Demon Palace. The two had always been mortal enemies. However, due to their similar strengths, neither of them could triumph over the other, so there were not too many open conflicts. However, the skirmishes had never stopped.
