Dragon God Supreme

Chapter 887: Chapter 887: Alchemy Contest Chapter 887: Chapter 887: Alchemy Contest The Holy Soul Academy was in an uproar.

“Is… is it him…” Young Master Yang watched Feng Wuchen with a face full of terror, his whole body trembling.

Young Master Yang felt secretly relieved that the Yang family had not sought vengeance against Feng Wuchen, otherwise the Yang family would likely have been destroyed by now.

The students who had had conflicts with Feng Wuchen at the Xumi Abyss were now also showing faces full of fear and concern, as if they were worried that Feng Wuchen would seek revenge on them.

“Oh my god, so many young alchemists, how long is this going to take?”

The moment he entered the gates of the Holy Soul Academy and glanced towards the plaza, Zhang Junlan and his companions were stunned, like petrified chickens.

“This… Have all the young alchemists from the entire mainland come here? Hall Master, can I still drop out now?” Ye Tianwei said, dumbstruck, not wanting to participate anymore after seeing this scene.

The number of geniuses coming to attend the Alchemy Competition exceeded everyone’s imagination.

Over ten thousand young alchemists had come!

And this was only counting the alchemists attending the Alchemy Competition. Including everyone else, the number was at least fifty to sixty thousand people.

Fortunately, the Holy Soul Academy was large enough to accommodate so many people, otherwise there would be no room at all.

Feng Wuchen himself was also taken aback by the sea of people before him, which was far more than he had anticipated.

Feng Wuchen’s appearance set off an explosion in the crowd.

The Alliance Hierarch of the Dragon God Alliance represented the mainland’s most transcendental figures.

“Alliance Hierarch!” As Feng Wuchen slowly walked forward, the crowd was overwhelmingly excited.

“Psh! What’s so great about him? He might not even be as strong as me. I think he only sits in the position of Alliance Hierarch because he has powerful backers,” someone said with a snide remark.

“He looks to be in his twenties, not even fully matured yet, and he’s an Alliance Hierarch, humph. Having no real strength and still daring to show his face, it’s embarrassing. But the woman behind him is quite beautiful, not inferior to Instructor Shangguan.”

“Having status and powerful backers of course means you’ll get the beautiful women!”

“This Feng Wuchen may not be as worthless as you all say. He is very secretive and it is impossible to see the depths of his cultivation.”

“Keep your voices down, I’ve heard that Feng Wuchen is extremely powerful and is even hailed as the Emperor of Alchemy. Be careful not to provoke him, or you might not live to leave the Holy Soul Academy.”

Among the crowd, there were also many who looked down on Feng Wuchen’s cultivation, all thinking that he secured the position of Alliance Hierarch through connections.

The Dragon God Alliance couldn’t possibly align itself with all the major powers of the mainland, and there were many who did not understand Feng Wuchen, so it was not lacking in practitioners who thought highly of themselves.

With Feng Wuchen’s cultivation, he naturally could hear the mocking and sarcastic remarks within the crowd.

However, Feng Wuchen acted as if he hadn’t heard anything.

As Feng Wuchen walked by, everyone respectfully called out to him as Alliance Hierarch.

Such a transcendental status was sure to make countless young followers envious and to charm numerous young and beautiful women.

After Wang Jiuzhong and Tianxianzi arranged for Feng Wuchen and his companions to be seated, they continued to preside over the Alchemy Competition.

On the vast plaza, Wang Jiuzhong gestured with his hand to quiet the crowd.

Wang Jiuzhong’s status was so transcendental that the entire place fell silent instantly at his appearance.

“Welcome, everyone, to the Holy Soul Academy’s Alchemy Competition. Rules are something I believe you’re all already familiar with, the outcome of the alchemy contest is determined by the grade of the elixir produced. I won’t waste more words; the talented alchemists can hardly wait,” Wang Jiuzhong said with a hearty laugh.

The alchemy contest was a knockout competition, where winners advanced and losers were eliminated.

At this moment, Shangguan Yunyun flashed onto the square, her stunning beauty instantly sent the crowd into a frenzy.

“She’s incredibly beautiful! She’s countless times prettier than my nagging wife.”

“As expected of Instructor Shangguan, a fairy descended from the heavens. Just one look at her feels like I could live ten years longer!”

“Whoever marries Instructor Shangguan would be so fortunate.”

It seemed that the majority had come for Shangguan Yunyun; everyone’s gaze was fixed on her.

Shangguan Yunyun wore a light yellow chiffon dress that showcased her proud figure. Under her willowy eyebrows were a pair of charming and lively beautiful eyes. Her stunning face donned a faint smile, extremely enchanting and impossible to look away from.

Soon after, other instructors like Xing Yi also appeared on the square in rapid succession.

“Those participating in the alchemy contest, come here to register and form a line,” Shangguan Yunyun spoke softly, her beautiful eyes looking over at the young alchemists.

As soon as Shangguan Yunyun’s words fell, the students rushed forward, much like a riot.

Even the onlookers wished they could approach, if only to get a little closer to Shangguan Yunyun.

“Hall Master, there certainly isn’t a shortage of talented alchemists. There are several hundred Fifth and Sixth Grade Alchemists!” Ye Tianwei exclaimed in shock, never knowing the Mainland held so many alchemy prodigies.

Of course, the majority of these Fifth and Sixth Grade Alchemists were around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, while the younger alchemists were mostly Third or Fourth Grade.

While the crowd surged forward to register, there was one individual who was calm and composed, and his sharp gaze even swept towards Feng Wuchen.

“A Seventh-Grade Alchemist!” The piercing gaze came over, and Feng Wuchen, with his acute sight, immediately caught it, feeling a slight surprise in his heart.

Feng Wuchen locked eyes with the man, who smirked coldly and then casually went forward to the square to register.

Feng Wuchen’s brows furrowed slightly, muttering to himself, “This person is deeply concealed. To think he’s a Seventh-Grade Alchemist. Who is he? There’s something strange about his aura.”

“Feng Brother, what’s wrong?” Ling Xiaoxiao asked, following Feng Wuchen’s gaze to look at the man.

“It’s nothing,” Feng Wuchen shook his head lightly and then went forward to the square to register as well.

Having already promised Wang Jiuzhong to participate in the Alchemy Conference, Feng Wuchen naturally had to register too.

“Let me witness the realm of the Pill Emperor,” Wang Jiuzhong’s eyes shone with eagerness upon seeing Feng Wuchen head to the square, unable to wait to see Feng Wuchen performing alchemy.

Huanji and Yang Xuantong, along with other elders, also looked forward with anticipation.

Anyone aware of the title Feng Wuchen held as the Pill Emperor was filled with excitement and anticipation at this moment.

Due to the sheer number of people, just queuing up for registration wasted an entire hour’s time.

“Before the Alchemy Conference begins, all alchemists who wish to participate must produce a Third-Rank Pill to prove they are qualified to take part in the Alchemy Conference. The academy has prepared three thousand pill furnaces; you only have one chance. I hope you all take it seriously, let the contest begin,” Tianxianzi announced.

“The first three thousand people, come up and perform alchemy!” Xing Yi shouted.

As expected, the first round saw several hundred alchemists disqualified, either due to failing in producing their elixirs or not reaching the standards of a Third-Grade Alchemist.

After all participating alchemists were assessed, over a thousand were disqualified.

Then, Wang Jiuzhong flashed onto the square, speaking indifferently, “The alchemy contest begins now. Those who win will advance, those who lose will be eliminated, and ultimately, we will select the youngest talented Alchemist of the Mainland!”
