Three Towers Game

He couldn’t help but say:

”You two are quite the pair now, leaving me to climb the Slaughter Tower all alone, fighting tooth and nail. Mirror, you invited me here with ill intentions, didn’t you?”

Wenren Mirror waved his hand and said:

”No, that’s not it. But I think... if Little Tree can do this, maybe in the future the Slaughter Tower can establish a connection with the other two towers?”

”Moreover, don’t you have something you need to say to Little Tree?”

Wen Xishu looked at Xun Hui.

Xun Hui said:

”During the days you weren’t at the Bunker, I received an order from the old man. It was to keep an eye on those who might be making small moves after your supposed death.”

”I’ve already drafted a rough list.”

Xun Hui tossed over a booklet.

Inside were all names, the Miyamoto Family, and even the names of various nobles.

Xun Hui said:

”If you feel the need to settle accounts, just say the word. The Six Great Clans can certainly do without one.”

Xun Hui’s words carried a hint of murderous intent.

Wen Xishu said, ”I don’t need to look at this roster. Senior, just keep it for yourself. They’re merely clowns.”

”However, senior, you could help me spread some rumors.”

Xun Hui was puzzled:

”What kind of rumors?”

Wen Xishu said:

”There will be people dying in the Bunker. These people spread rumors of Wen Xishu’s demise during my absence and attempted to undermine everyone’s enthusiasm for climbing the tower. They disparaged the Deceit Tower and Slaughter Tower climbers, trying to establish the Desire Tower as the aristocratic class...”

”They will gradually face punishment.”

Xun Hui said:

”Is it really necessary to drag it out like this instead of just killing them directly?”

Wen Xishu laughed and said:

”Yes, definitely.”

”Many things are about the long game. A single intense stimulus is not as effective as continuous small irritations.”

”Moreover, it’s important to keep everyone constantly vigilant.”

”Besides, Senior Xun Hui, killing a bunch of people at once is just a way to satiate your desire for slaughter. You climb the Slaughter Tower, you need to kill often, right?”

”Additionally, killing many people at once creates too much noise, and the public would know what’s happening. But if every now and then someone dies mysteriously... people tend to think of something mystical.”

”The Xishu Divine Teaching also needs a bit of mystique.”

Xun Hui nodded:

”I understand what you mean. It makes sense. Who do you think I should deal with first?”

Wen Xishu smiled and said:

”I like it when you two seniors call me Little Tree. It’s not distant, and quite friendly.”

”So, let’s make sure others don’t also call me Little Tree, alright?”

At first, Xun Hui didn’t understand.

But Wenren Mirror said:

”Are you implying... the Miyamoto Family?”

Xun Hui understood then, Miyamoto Yishu.

”Okay.”

Wen Xishu had learned a lot from the Academy Spirit, and Miyamoto Yishu certainly didn’t deserve death.

But since he had grown so powerful, and the other side stood at an opposition, still scheming, there was no need to endure any longer.

In the future, he might also leave the Bunker again due to special circumstances.

Leaving these pests unchecked could genuinely cause problems down the line.

Might as well let Senior Xun Hui extinguish the ”Slaughter Fire.”

...

...

That night.

Miyamoto Yishu quickly returned to his dormitory.

As he arrived, he found it strange.

A few classmates greeted him:

”Miyamoto, why are you back again?”

Miyamoto Yishu frowned:

”What do you mean ’back again’?”

Miyamoto Yishu was used to wielding power and disregarding people, priding himself on being part of the Six Great Clans and a self-proclaimed genius.

Once he frowned, everyone feared he might do something strange, so they quickly dispersed.

Miyamoto Yishu was very satisfied with the fear some people had around him.

If he were in the Desire Tower, he might hold back a bit, as many people there were nobles and had business dealings with his family.

But in the Slaughter Tower, many students came from the lower classes.

Miyamoto Yishu liked making these people feel afraid.

He quickly returned to his dormitory.

The dormitory was empty.

This made Miyamoto Yishu feel uneasy.

Usually, the people in the dormitory would wait for him.

The roommates fawned over him, and he enjoyed their flattery, so he was happy to take them out to spend money.

Miyamoto Yishu also knew that these roommates were only superficially flattering and merely wanted him to spend money, but he didn’t care.

He believed that a true superior should have a few followers.

He originally planned to take these followers out for drinks and meat tonight.

But unexpectedly, those who usually waited for him were not in the dorm today.

Suddenly, a gust of wind swept in.

Miyamoto Yishu only felt a strong wind on his face, and then the dormitory door slammed shut.

He couldn’t even clearly see what happened.

But soon, he began to feel fear because his world suddenly started to spin.

...

...

Night fell.

Miyamoto’s roommates began to return one after another.

They had a great time eating, and today Miyamoto was exceptionally generous, praising them as they ate and drank together.

In the past, it had always been them praising Miyamoto, and Miyamoto never praised anyone.

But maybe the alcohol hit the spot today, so Miyamoto actually praised them.

”Wow, you guys have amazing alcohol tolerance!”

”Wow, brother, your compliments outshine mine! Such skillful words.”

They had never seen this side of Miyamoto, feeling that he must have drunk quite a bit.

After eating and drinking their fill, as they approached the dorm door, Miyamoto suddenly said he had some business to attend to outside of school.

So, Miyamoto left.

Under the gaze of his roommates, Miyamoto walked towards outside the campus.

Taken aback, the roommates didn’t think much of it and headed towards the dormitory.

The horrifying scene unfolded just like that.

When one of Miyamoto’s roommates opened the dorm door...

They saw walls covered in blood, and Miyamoto’s head placed on the bedside table, surrounded by blood-drawn talismans.

The drunkenness of the roommates immediately vanished.

”Ah!!!!!!”

The man’s scream was as piercing as a woman’s.

The impact of the scene was too intense, the shattered body, the blood-covered walls, and Miyamoto’s head.

Even more eerie...

Wasn’t Miyamoto just walking outside a minute ago? How could he be dead in the dormitory?

The three immediately thought that Miyamoto was acting strange tonight.

Soon the school began handling the matter. Involving Miyamoto, one of the Six Great Clans, the Bunker Security Bureau swiftly intervened.

Soon, forensic experts and security bureau personnel arrived, detaining the three students. Shortly after, forensics revealed: Miyamoto had been dead for three hours.

The three roommates were dumbstruck. Three hours ago, they were drinking with Miyamoto.

This scene had scared the children speechless.

They started to babble incoherently.

If not for their solid alibis, these three students would have been held accountable for Miyamoto Yishu’s death.

In summary, Miyamoto Yishu died.

And his death was extraordinarily bizarre.

Miyamoto Yishu appeared in others’ sight after he was supposed to be already dead, a fact many could testify to.

Miyamoto Yishu’s death quickly became a hot topic among people.

Meanwhile, a rumor spread—someone from the Xishu Divine Teaching received a booklet detailing dissatisfaction with the Xishu Divine Teaching and a group of people attempting to restore the grandeur of Desire Tower climbers.

This rumor, combined with Miyamoto Yishu’s death, led everyone to vague conjectures.

And in these days...

The strange deaths continued to occur.

Every few days, someone seemed to die.

Without exception, these people had status.

And without exception, after their deaths, someone saw their ”ghosts.”

This mysterious death increased everyone’s interest in the matter.

People speculated that these individuals died from divine retribution or karma, from ”God’s punishment.”

Of course, these were just public speculations.

Anyone with a bit of wisdom could see that someone was scheming.

Moreover, deep down, they knew the scheming was Wen Xishu’s revenge.

Not long after Miyamoto Yishu’s death, the Miyamoto Family’s patriarch roughly guessed what was going on.

Few dared play tricks in the Bunker. Even fewer dared to kill Miyamoto Yishu while putting on a show.

Everyone in the Bunker with some status guessed the culprit.

After all, when the female director of the Bunker Security Bureau died, the walls were also covered in blood.

But knowing the truth, what could they do?

The Miyamoto Family didn’t dare express anger, didn’t dare show any dissatisfaction openly, only fearful repentance.

Due to the disparity in power.

Even if you know the truth, you have to endure, otherwise you too will die.

This is Wen Xishu’s reckoning.
