Three Towers Game

Chapter 566: Chapter 165: Joining Forces with the Destroyer_2

Wen Xishu frowned:

”Suicide?”

Jessica said:

”Wenren Mirror is your friend, right? After he came here, I told him everything about this place. All the evil in this town, apart from me at the beginning, was actually caused by the Priest.”

”He is different from you, he has a certain ability to detect lies. He knows I am telling the truth.”

”But unfortunately, he didn’t have the power to defeat the Priest. He tried to use his power to change the Priest, to persuade the Priest to leave this town.”

The Desire Sequence? Using the Desire Sequence to change a person’s desires...

Wenren Mirror actually confronted the Priest.

”But in the end, the Priest realized there was an external force influencing his desires... So he saw Wenren Mirror as an enemy.”

”With my help, Wenren Mirror hid.”

”As for me, I was captured by the Priest, but I chose to commit suicide and restart the cycle.”

Wen Xishu didn’t expect there to be such a development.

Jessica said:

”I’m not afraid to tell you, all the evil mutations in town, those originally kind residents who had a drastic change in personality, were all caused by the Priest.”

”He purifies evil, but he also creates evil. To be precise, his ability seems to be to continuously collect evil, enabling him to break the barrier between reality and stories.”

”That church is his shell.”

Wen Xishu could accept this theory. If this were his own hypothesis, he would head in this direction to verify it.

He might even directly assume this possibility and confront the Priest, at worst wrongfully accusing an innocent person.

But since this theory came from a Destroyer, he had to doubt it.

”I still don’t believe you.”

Jessica rolled her eyes:

”Believe it or not, anyway, you yourself don’t have the ability to defeat the Priest. Ah, if only Mirror were here, we were too hasty last time.”

In Jessica’s eyes, this group of Tower Climbers couldn’t use violence, so people like Wenren Mirror, who had a strong Desire Sequence, were the best helpers.

”I was indeed purified by the Priest of the evil in me. At the time, the Priest was amazed at the amount of evil I harbored, beyond his imagination. But he thought I was completely healed... thought I was just an ordinary town resident.”

”But I have actually gone through many cycles, my memory remains intact, and it was in these cycles that I discovered the Priest’s secret.”

”He is the creator of evil, the source of evil.”

”As a result, I should have been grateful to the Priest after being purified, but I’m not. On the contrary, I’ve been waiting for someone who can join me in fighting him.”

If everything Jessica said was true, then this experience was quite interesting.

Because it was Wen Xishu’s first time teaming up with a Destroyer.

”How can I trust you?”

Jessica sighed and said:

”You can investigate yourself, don’t you have seven days? Investigate as you like, but be careful not to let the Priest find you.”

”Because if he discovers you, he might summon some terrifying beings that only exist in his past memories. I’ve said before, he can break the barriers between reality and stories.”

”In short, if you believe me, we will act together. Of course, before that, I need to check if you are qualified to help me defeat the Priest.”

Jessica got up to leave.

”And... don’t report me to the Priest, damn it, suicide is very painful.”

Wen Xishu didn’t have seven days. He came through an invitation and had a good entry point, but he didn’t have seven days.

He only had forty-eight hours.

Moreover, he couldn’t wait forty-eight hours. In previous tasks, Wen Xishu always completed them at light speed. Forty-eight hours had too many variables.

The Great Devour hadn’t ended yet.

”Wait, don’t go.” Wen Xishu stopped Jessica.

Jessica said:

”What, have you figured it out?”

Wen Xishu nodded. Just now, he had sorted it all out.

Firstly, according to what the child mentioned earlier, those who don’t believe in the religion would likely go mad... This indicates that there might really be an issue with the Priest.

Secondly, Wen Xishu had experienced many games in the Deceit Tower and found that Destroyers could only be active in the Desire Tower.

So, in the Deceit Tower, which is the old castle story game, it is indeed not run by a Destroyer.

Moreover, the format of the story game is like this—

Each round votes to kill one person, the one voted to death loses their memory and becomes a kind audience member, and the audience are all town residents... whereas the participants are all people with evil deeds.

So, this also aligns with the statements of the Destroyer Jessica. The participants’ evil was purified, turning them into kind audience members.

Of course, there are many differences between the Deceit Tower and the Desire Tower.

Now Wen Xishu understood that the Deceit Tower is a place of obsession.

Strong obsessions construct a place that can be deciphered by Tower Climbers, but it can also be a place that kills the Tower Climbers.

Tower Climbers decode obsessions, eliminate obsessions, or get killed by the place constructed by obsessions, depending on their skills.

Weird rules sometimes kill Tower Climbers, but they also constrain the source of the weirdness to some extent.

But in the Desire Tower and the Slaughter Tower, Tower Climbers face the source of the weirdness directly. There is no help or restriction from rules.

This time, the source of the weirdness is likely the Priest.

And the power of breaking the barrier of reality does match the power of the old castle story game.

”I believe you.”

Wen Xishu steeled his heart and decided to take a gamble. If he was wrong, at worst, he would kill everyone.
