I Punch the Tailed Beast Ball

Clap! Clap!

The clap echoed loudly in the eerily quiet inn.

At this point, the inn had become dilapidated due to the battle, and through the damaged areas, one could see the vast darkness outside. Due to thick clouds covering the moonlight and the lack of lighting, visibility was extremely poor.

However, Shinobi always had excellent vision, so they all saw a masked figure in black clothes that clapped his hand as he walked out from the dark.

The man in the black robe did not deliberately conceal his figure and footsteps; he swaggered into the inn.

Shisui’s Mangekyō Sharingan suddenly shook, and an expression of uncontrollable shock and anger appeared on his face.

”Masked Man!” Shisui gasped as his Mangekyō Sharingan stared intently at the masked man.

This masked man, who seemed to be controlling the Fourth Mizukage, was the same mysterious masked man who attacked Konoha when Kushina gave birth!

Although the mask of this person was slightly different from before, Shisui would never forget the figure, the demeanor, and the Mangekyō Sharingan of that mysterious person.

If the masked man had succeeded back then, Kushina would have died, and the Nine-Tails with Sharingan pattern on his eyes, would have wreaked havoc in Konoha. Just thinking about it gave Shisui chills.

This person with the Sharingan had attacked Konoha at the crucial moment where a Jinchuriki gave birth, causing significant damage to the village. At that point, Uchiha Clan would be accused of the crime no matter how much they tried to argue. The relationship between Uchiha Clan and the village would also inevitably deteriorate to an irreparable point.

If Konoha suffered significant damage, the relatively peaceful world would be in chaos again, and war might erupt, though not on the scale of the Great Shinobi World War.

Putting aside those consequences, the number of people who would die in the chaos caused by the Nine-Tails alone would be crazy, and many would lose their families.

Shisui could never forget the masked man who almost caused such a tragedy.

”I didn’t expect that there’s a talented junior who have actually awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.”

Obito said with a hoarse voice.

”Cooperate with me. I know everything about the Uchiha, and as long as you cooperate with me, you will get everything—wealth, fame, power, even the restoration of your eyesight that cannot be healed.”

Obito tried to tempt Shisui.

However, Shisui’s expression did not change. Only a trace of anger remained.

”Shisui, what’s going on? Do you know that masked person?” Yanagi asked confusedly.

He was a bit overwhelmed by the sudden changes on the battlefield.

The Fourth Mizukage suddnly fainted collapsed, and before he could celebrate, a mysterious masked person suddenly came.

Moreover, the masked man surprisingly possessed the Sharingan and asked Shisui to join him.

This series of events left the experienced Jonin somewhat confused.

The Kage of the Five Great Shinobi Countries fell just like that, and suddenly a mysterious masked man emerged.

Since Obito immediately slipped away after releasing the Nine-Tails, apart from those who fought Obito like Shisui, and Konoha’s higher-ups, most Shinobi basically had no idea that the mastermind behind the chaos caused by the Nine-Tails was the masked man.

”Hehe, I am Madara Uchiha. Didn’t expect Konoha to forget me so soon.” Obito sneered.

”Madara Uchiha?” Yanagi was stunned. Wasn’t Madara Uchiha killed by the First Hokage decades ago in the Valley of the End?

Wait, even if he wasn’t killed in the Valley of the End, he should be dead by now.

What was this? A dead Shinobi rising from death?

”Yanagi-senpai, don’t believe this guy. He is not Madara Uchiha, just a thief who somehow stole Uchiha Clan’s powers.” Shisui spoke up.

When the masked man released the Nine-Tails, he had a brief exchange with Fugaku Uchiha. At that time, the masked man claimed to be Madara Uchiha, but Fugaku insisted that the masked man was spouting nonsense and that Madara had long been dead.

Even if the masked man were really Madara Uchiha, he wouldn’t admit it; it was basically admitting that Uchiha Clan was the perpetrator of Nine-Tails’ attack.

Therefore, the masked man must be a thief who stole Uchiha powers, not a Shinobi of the Uchiha Clan.

”Hehe.” Obito sneered. At this point, he had long forgotten his identity as an Uchiha. He didn’t care about Shisui’s words.

”Since you can awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan, you should have gone through painful things. You should have realized by now that this world is cursed, and there’s no happiness in this world. Cooperate with me. I have a way to save the world, a way to make everyone happy.”

Sensing that wealth, fame, and power couldn’t sway Shisui, Obito stopped talking about materialistic things and started discussing ideals.

He understood Uchiha Clan so well; there were plenty of idealists among them.

”You truly underestimate me if you still think you can get me to your side.” The dart pattern in Shisui’s Mangekyō Sharingan began to spin rapidly.

He was generally a calm person, and those who knew him would say he had a good temper.

However, when a person with a good temper gets angry, it could be terrifying.

’Potent Genjutsu and the ability to make his body intangible. It seems to teleport his body to another space, allowing all attacks to pass through him. However, when he attacks, he can’t make the attack pass through him...”

Shisui silently recalled the information about the masked man.

”If that’s all you got, then be prepared to fail.” Shisui’s eyes sparkled with bright light.

There was no justice or evil in the ability itself; as long as the user used it correctly, even a seemingly dangerous ability could protect comrades.

Rewriting one’s thoughts sounded like an ability that only villains would use, but it was the ability of Shisui’s Mangekyō Sharingan.

And now, he was prepared to use Kotoamatsukami to protect his teammates and capture this guy who had once harmed Konoha.

Kotoamatsukami’s effect was incredibly powerful. It could subtly controlled one’s mind with a single glance.

If Shisui used Kotoamatsukami to guard Konoha, then no matter how much the masked man had previously hated Konoha and sought to destroy it, he would become a defender of Konoha, making the safety of Konoha his top priority.

Moreover, the masked man would not find this strange. He would consider it natural, even though he had committed many acts of destruction against Konoha before.

This was the power of Kotoamatsukami, known as the strongest Genjutsu: turning the people that its user wanted into puppets!

The moment masked man dared to lift the intangibility effect and attack, then in that instant, the masked man would have already failed.

”Hehe, young one, you are still too naive,” Obito sneered.

The abilities of the Mangekyō Sharingan were mysterious and could easily be at a disadvantage when the opponent’s abilities were unknown.

During the Nine-Tails’ attack on Konoha, a bit of Obito’s abilities was exposed, but he knew nothing about Shisui’s abilities. In such a situation, he wouldn’t act recklessly.

Shisui’s calm demeanor in the face of Obito’s powerful abilities made Obito speculate that Shisui might have found a way to counter his powers.

Although the probability was small, Obito couldn’t afford to be careless.

He dared to step out because he didn’t believe that exuding his domineering aura would make Shisui willingly join him and abandon Konoha.

He had many back up plans place.

With one Mangekyō Sharingan, his intangibility could last a maximum of five minutes, after which he would be forced to exit the intangible state.

Therefore, as a precaution, if he couldn’t take down Shisui in four minutes, Obito would directly leave fir giid.

At this point, Obito had already obtained what he needed—members for Akatsuki organization and satisfaction from revenge against Kirigakure.

Pushing Konoha and Kirigakure into a war was just an icing on cake. If he could do it, great. Even if it ended in failure, it wouldn’t matter. This was the reason he came out.

Regardless of whether he successfully persuaded Shisui to join him or killed Shisui to obtain a pair of Mangekyō Sharingan, both outcomes brought him greater benefits than a war between Konoha and Kirigakure.

Moreover, a war might still break out. If he won, everyone would ultimately die there, whether it was Konoha’s envoy or the Fourth Mizukage.

Obito activated a technique he had prepared in advance, causing the eyes of the five Kirigakure Anbu that protected the Fourth Mizukage to lose their light before falling to the ground one after another.

Immediately after, a series of violent explosions erupted, flames bursting from the bodies of the five Kirigakure Shinobi. The intense explosions swept through this remote inn.

Boom! Boom!!

In the end, this troubled inn collapsed in the fierce explosion, and a large amount of dust turned into thick fog, shrouding everything.

”As I suspected, this was his plan.” Shisui frowned as he looked at the debris. Several Konoha Shinobi were caught in the explosion.

When the explosion occurred, some Konoha Shinobi were in the midst of pursuing the masked man and rescuing their comrades. Faced with the choice of dealing with the masked man and saving teammates, Shisui chose to save his teammates.

And as he expected, taking advantage of the chaos caused by the explosion and the collapse of the inn, the masked man left with the Fourth Mizukage.

What surprised Shisui somewhat was that, after releasing the Color of Observation Haki with all his might, he actually sensed the masked man’s presence. The masked man hadn’t gone too far.

Then, an even more unexpected event occurred.

”If you want to stop everything, try defeating me,” a hoarse and deep voice came from afar. It was the voice of the masked man.

”Yanagi-senpai, my shadow clone will take you all out of here. You leave Kirigakure first.” Shisui quickly created a shadow clone and headed towards the direction where the masked man had left.

He knew that since the masked man dared to be so arrogant, he might have a trick up his sleeve. But the opportunity to capture the masked man was too rare, and rescuing the Fourth Mizukage would also make the Five Kage Summit go more smoothly.

Moreover, even if Obito had some tricks up his sleeve, Shisui also had his own trump cards.

Before coming here, Nagasawa provided him with five Summon Steel Tags with maximum power. Coupled with Kotoamatsukami and Susanoo, he could handle any situation.

After chasing Obito, Shisui reached a deep mountainous area and sensed that Obito had stopped.

Obito stood in front of a large tree, beside him was the unconscious Fourth Mizukage.

Shisui stepped forward and attempted to use a Genjutsu on Obito. As expected, nothing happened; Obito was already in intangible state.

”Perhaps the previous battles made you think that the Fourth Mizukage’s strength is mediocre. In reality, using the power of the Tailed Beast would interfere with Genjutsu. Now, you can witness the true power of a Jinchuriki,” Obito sneered.

That day, he and Nagato easily defeated the Fourth Mizukage because they caught him off guard. Now, he planned to detonate the Fourth Mizukage’s body, taking control of the Tailed Beast within.

Directly controlling a Tailed Beast while it was inside a Jinchuriki was actually challenging. The success during the Nine-Tails’ attack was due to Kushina’s seal being in its weakest, combined with a secret plan left by Madara.

Because the Three-Tails was not as powerful as the Nine-Tails, the technique that Madara left for him was enough to directly control it. However, that used up a considerable amount of Obito’s resources.

”A Tailed Beast? Well, then, come and try.” Shisui smiled. Tailed Beast? Let’s acquaint ourselves with Susanoo and Wood Release.

Boom!

Suddenly, a powerful force erupted during their conversation. An exceptionally strong Chakra continuously manifested, creating shockwaves that rustled the surrounding trees.

The once unconscious Yagura stood up, and a dark red Chakra began to emerge from his body. Soon, the dark red Chakra completely enveloped Yagura’s body, followed by three tails made of dark red Chakra.

”So, this is Tailed Beast Chakra...” Shisui shifted his gaze towards Yagura.

While he had seen Tailed Beasts before, facing a Jinchuriki alone was a first for him.

The dark red Tailed Beast Chakra was not something he needed to sense; it was visible to the naked eye.

Roar!

Yagura, in his current state with abundant Tailed Beast Chakra, no longer resembled a human. He was crouched on the ground, using all four limbs, letting out a low growl. It was more accurate to say that Yagura, in this state, looked like a fierce beast rather than a human.

Bang!

Chakra erupted as Yagura’s agile limbs burst forth at incredible speed, leaving a small crater in the ground before quickly heading towards Shisui.

However, with the Mangekyō Sharingan, Shisui instantly saw through all of Yagura’s movements. Utilizing the Body Flicker Technique, he evaded Yagura’s attack.

”Susanoo!” Shisui’s Mangekyō Sharingan rapidly spun, powerful Chakra surged from his body, and a massive green skeletal structure enveloped him.

After two years of diligent training, Shisui’s Susanoo had greatly improved. It was no longer the skeletal frame it once was but now filled with meridians, flesh, and blood. Its height had also reached over twenty meters.

Observing the towering green figure, Obito’s eyes flashed with a hint of wariness.

He recognized this power. Susanoo was a formidable ability possessed by every Mangekyō Sharingan user, even referred to as the ”Power of the Gods.”

Obito also yearned for this tremendous power, but unfortunately, he only had one Mangekyō Sharingan, so he couldn’t awaken Susanoo.

Boom! Boom! Boom!!!

The sudden appearance of Susanoo was unexpected for the Three-Tails. Shisui fiercely grabbed the Three-Tails’ tails, repeatedly slamming them into the ground, creating large craters.

If not for being in the deep mountains, this would have already attracted a lot of attention.

Subjected to such inhuman treatment, the Three-Tails descended into a rampage. Chakra within its body surged uncontrollably, as if it cost nothing.

In an instant, a terrifying monster manifested.

Roar!

A giant gray turtle covered in spines, with three strange tails, appeared.

The turtle let out a roar, creating a powerful shockwave that sent nearby trees flying. Its massive size surpassed even Shisui’s Susanoo.

”Complete Tailed Beast Transformation, but compared to the Nine-Tails, it’s far inferior.” Shisui shook his head. He had witnessed the Nine-Tails in its Complete Tailed Beast Transformation, and the Three-Tails’ aura was much weaker.

Shisui’s Chakra surged again. His Susanoo, which was previously empty-handed, now wielded a spiral sword in its right hand.

The turtle roared, opening its enormous mouth. A tremendous Chakra gathered before its mouth, forming a small black-purple ball.

The Three-Tails prepared to unleash its most powerful Tailed Beast Ball, a destructive force capable of easily demolishing a mountain.

Unexpectedly, as Shisui made hand seals within Susanoo, giant trees rapidly grew around the Three-Tails. Soon, three massive trees, as tall as the Three-Tails, entwined and bound its head before slamming it into the ground.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The uncompleted Tailed Beast Ball exploded, sending shockwaves that destroyed numerous trees, and even the mountain they were on trembled, producing a plethora of debris.

The resilient Three-Tails, with its tough hide, didn’t suffer any significant damage. It shook its head after the explosion, ready to rise again. However, it was held down by the consecutively grown large trees.

”How is it possible for him to use Wood Release?” Obito was genuinely astonished. He wasn’t surprised if an Uchiha possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan, and it was common for a prodigy to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan. But why would Shisui have Wood Release? Did Shisui undergo the same cellular modification as Obito, having Hashirama’s cells? Did Konoha have that technology?

At this moment, Obito was truly dumbfounded.

He even thought of making a quick escape.

Susanoo, combined with Wood Release, was overwhelmingly advantageous against the Three-Tails. However, the new power Shisui displayed made Obito feel that Konoha might be even more dangerous than he had imagined.

During this period of observation, Obito witnessed another new technique from Shisui. Shisui took out what looked like a sealing tag and dealt a severe blow to the Three-Tails, causing damage even to its sturdy shell.

The Three-Tails was completely angered and opened its massive mouth once again, gathering Chakra to form another Tailed Beast Ball. Meanwhile, Shisui took out another Summon Steel Tag that emitted a dangerous golden light.

Obito knew the moment had come. Silently, he moved behind Shisui and reached out.

Unbeknownst to Obito, despite battling the Three-Tails, Shisui kept his Color of Observation Haki on Obito. After Obito appeared behind him, Shisui intentionally increased his Chakra output, giving the impression that he was desperately fighting the Three-Tails. Secretly, he prepared this Kotoamatsukami, ready to use it on Obito if he dared to make a move.

The pitch-black Tailed Beast Ball was shot towards Shisui, while the Summon Steel Tag in Shisui’s hand erupted with powerful energy, dishing out a crescent moon slash with a faint golden flame.

The collision between the black Tailed Beast Ball and the golden flame slash created a massive explosion, turning the night into day with blinding white light. The powerful shockwave surged in all directions, sending dirt and rocks flying. Shisui used Susanoo’s arm to shield himself from the impact.

”Now’s the time!” Obito’s eyes gleamed. He extended his hand toward Shisui’s heart, intending to finish Shisui off by ripping through his heart.

At the same time, Shisui’s Susanoo spun rapidly, ready to unleash the Kotoamatsukami.

However, just as Obito made his move, a hand stopped his arm from behind. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain, and darkness enveloped him, accompanied by an unprecedented sense of emptiness.

”Captain Nagasawa.” Shisui looked surprised at the unexpected figure that appeared.

The moment he was about to use Kotoamatsukami, Nagasawa appeared out of nowhere, grabbed Obito’s hand, and swiftly gouged out Obito’s Mangekyō Sharingan.

”Now, you can’t escape.” Nagasawa knocked out the now-free Three-Tails, then lifted Obito, who seemed temporarily bewildered.

”Captain Nagasawa, why are you...” Shisui was puzzled, wondering why Nagasawa was suddenly there. Shouldn’t he be participating in the final round of the Chunin Exams in Konoha?

Nagasawa casually subdued the Three-Tails and approached Shisui, ready to explain the situation to him.
