Shenhao System: I Climbed to the Top of the Circle As the Queen

104: Killer Without HeartWhen Gao Ying woke up the next day, Xi Yan and Gao Xuan had already left.

”A Lin, why didn’t you go to the company today?” Gao Ying asked when she saw Yin Lin at home.

”Although your eyes are better now, that Heartless hasn’t been caught yet, so Yin Feng and I will take turns staying with you for the next few days,” Yin Lin explained.

Gao Ying wanted to say she could deal with the assassin herself, but seeing his determined gaze, she kept quiet.

”Fugui, same as always, give me the information on Heartless.” Gao Ying and Yin Lin arrived at the company.

Since she was there, she might as well handle some business matters and let Yin Lin relax a bit.

[Heartless, male, age 25. No real name, just an orphan who was taken in by an Assassin Organization and trained to be a killer.

He started carrying out missions at fifteen and hasn’t failed a single one since.

At 20, he took down the organization’s leader and became the leader himself.

After taking over, Heartless accepted jobs based on his whims. If he was in a good mood, he might take one or two a year; if not, he wouldn’t be seen for the whole year.

No one has ever seen his real face, but I have it.] Fugui displayed Heartless’s photo for her.

In the photo, Heartless had long silvery-white hair, peach blossom eyes, and a small mole at the end of his eyebrow, making him look even more handsome.

Standing at 1.9 meters tall, he certainly had the looks to be captivating.

”Why be an assassin when he’s this handsome? With those looks, he’d never have to worry about finding someone to support him.” Gao Ying was surrounded by high-quality handsome men, yet she was still stunned by his appearance.

[If you like him, Sister, then just take him. Wouldn’t it be cool to have an assassin boyfriend?]

”He wants to kill me! You’re telling me to take someone who’s trying to kill me as a boyfriend? Fugui, what are you thinking?” Gao Ying was so exasperated she laughed.

[Sister, this is what they call ’losing the lady and the soldiers.’ He came to kill you, but ends up being taken by you instead—wouldn’t that be a huge loss for him?

Plus, you get a free bodyguard.] Fugui tempted her.

Looking at Heartless’s photo, Gao Ying felt a shameful stir of attraction. She leaned over the desk. ”Fugui, I’m such a scumbag now. What should I do if my heart flutters every time I see a handsome man?”

[Nothing to do but take him.]

”Heh, his danger level is too high. We’ll see when I meet him.” Gao Ying drew a large question mark over Heartless.

”A Lin, I’m going to the hospital. It should be fine during the day, and with Yin Yi and Yin Chan accompanying me, there won’t be any problems.” After finishing her work, Gao Ying prepared to visit Shangguan Hu at the hospital.

”Alright, be careful. I’ll pick you up from the hospital later.” Seeing that she was truly bored, Yin Lin softened and agreed.

Shangguan Hu looked at the script in his hand with irritation; the cast on his leg was a real eyesore.

He wanted to go find Ying Ying and be with her every single moment.

No, he had to go find Ying Ying.

Shangguan Hu changed his clothes and, leaning on crutches, prepared to head out to find his sweetheart.

”Where do you think you’re going? You don’t even know how to stay still even with an injured leg.” Shen Yi ran into this handful just as she stepped out of the elevator.

”My leg is fine. I want to be discharged; it’s too boring staying here.” Shangguan Hu didn’t even look embarrassed about being caught and still wanted to leave.

”You want to find the boss, don’t you? No need. She just called; she’s already on her way.” Before Shen Yi could finish, she saw Shangguan Hu heading back to the patient room.

”What are you doing? Weren’t you just clamoring to be discharged? Yet you’re heading back to your room.” Shen Yi shouted after him.

Shangguan Hu ignored her, entered the room, locked the door, quickly changed into his hospital gown, and then opened the door.

Then he lay obediently on the bed, waiting for her to arrive.

”Tsk, men who can act are really something else. You were just full of energy, and now you’re a frail, handsome patient.

If you could use just half this effort when you’re actually filming, that would be enough.” Shen Yi truly admired her boss’s charm.

Someone as difficult as Shangguan Hu was actually being kept perfectly in line by her.

Shangguan Hu closed his eyes and ignored her. Ying Ying was coming; he had to maintain his frail image and couldn’t let this woman ruin it.

”Boss, you’re here. But unfortunately, Shangguan Hu has fallen asleep.” Seeing him like this, Shen Yi decided to tease him.

”I’m not asleep!” Shangguan Hu quickly opened his eyes, but Gao Ying was nowhere to be seen—only that woman laughing wildly.

”Shen Yi, you’re really boring.” Knowing she was Ying Ying’s friend and capable assistant, Shangguan Hu swallowed his insults.

”How do you know I’m bored?” Shen Yi asked, looking at him innocently.

”I could hear you laughing from far away. It seems you two are getting along quite well.” Gao Ying walked in at that moment.

”Ying Ying, she’s bullying me because my leg is out of commission.” Shangguan Hu complained.

”Shangguan Hu, you male green tea bitch! When did I ever bully you?” Shen Yi was so amused and annoyed by his shamelessness that she laughed.

”Weren’t you laughing so loudly just now to mock me?” Shangguan Hu asked with conviction.

Shen Yi wanted to argue back, but it really did seem like she had been picking on him.

”See, she can’t even argue. She was definitely bullying me.” Seeing her silence, Shangguan Hu spoke even more confidently.

”Boss, don’t listen to his nonsense. I was just telling a joke.” Shen Yi swore that from now on, she would never drink green tea again.

Gao Ying could tell the two were just playing around.

Gao Ying: ”Alright, go back to your work. I’ll stay here with Ah Hu.”

”Okay, I’ll head back then. Oh, I almost forgot the main reason I came—this is another script. The third male lead role would suit you quite well.” Shen Yi took a script out of her bag, gave it to Shangguan Hu, and left.

”I missed you so much!” Once she was gone, Shangguan Hu hugged Gao Ying and poured out his feelings.

”Why don’t you get discharged? You just need rest anyway; you can come stay at my place.” Gao Ying asked for his opinion.

With Hidden Doctor at home and various medical equipment, she wasn’t worried about his leg.

”Really? I can stay at your house?” Shangguan Hu hadn’t expected such a good thing.

”Of course, they all live together.” Gao Ying confirmed.

”Okay, let’s process the discharge papers right now.” Hearing that she lived with the others made Shangguan Hu even more eager to leave.

”Not you. Yin Yi, go handle the discharge procedures.” How could Gao Ying let someone with an injured leg run around?

”Your Highness, these are extraordinary times. I cannot leave your side.” This was the first time Yin Yi had refused her.

”It’s fine, isn’t Yin Chan here too?” Gao Ying said, pointing at Yin Chan.

”Your Highness, how about you come with us and let Young Master Shangguan wait in the room?” Yin Chan suggested.

”What’s going on? Ying Ying, did something happen?” Shangguan Hu noticed the tension and asked.

”It’s nothing major. Someone just hired the number one killer to kill me.

They’re just being too nervous. Even if Heartless comes, he might not even be able to beat me.” Gao Ying didn’t hide it from him.

”I’ll go with you. Isn’t there a wheelchair here? We’ll just buy it, and leave as soon as the discharge is done.” Shangguan Hu pressed the call button.

A nurse came by to ask what was needed.

”Excuse me, I need a wheelchair. Could you please bring one for me?” Shangguan Hu asked politely.
