After Gender Transformation, I Was Adjusted by the System into the Demon Queen’s Strongest Maid

Lilia’s mood right now was complicated.

She looked helplessly at Dora, who was running back and forth ahead.

Dora suddenly stopped.

Without any warning, she slammed on the brakes, her restless tail sweeping sideways.

Boom!

A rock on the right instantly disintegrated, fragments scattering like shotgun pellets.

Xiao Hong let out a yelp and crouched down, hugging her head defensively, her movements so practiced it was heartbreaking.

Lilia, on the other hand, remained calm.

Dora turned around and stared straight at Lilia.

Lilia’s heart skipped a beat. She recognized that look—every time Hera wanted to mess with her… no, make her “work overtime,” it was that exact same expression.

“What’s wrong?” Lilia put on a professional fake smile and subtly took half a step back, nudging the “playing dead” Bulara slightly forward.

Dora tilted her head and reached out to touch her flat stomach.

Right on cue, her belly let out a thunderous rumble.

Grrrr—

“Hungry.”

Lilia’s eyelid twitched.

To be honest, she was a little hungry too. Although the Seed of Life inside her could provide endless stamina, it didn’t fill her stomach—the psychological sense of emptiness couldn’t be satisfied.

“What a coincidence, I’m hungry too.” Lilia pulled out a dry compressed biscuit from her system inventory—it was emergency rations she had taken from the Demon King’s Castle. “What do you want to eat? Just so you know, I only have this. It tastes about as good as chewing on a brick.”

Dora didn’t even glance at the biscuit. She even showed a look of disdain, like “are you feeding a pig?”

“I want to eat,” Dora swallowed, “human food.”

Lilia’s hand trembled, almost crushing the biscuit.

Human food?

“Uh, Dora…” Lilia cautiously asked, a drop of cold sweat forming on her temple, “when you say ‘human food,’ do you mean food made by humans, or… humans as food?”

If this dragon had that kind of taste, then this team was finished—might as well disband on the spot.

Dora frowned, seemingly thinking about the difference.

After two seconds, she shook her head and flicked her tail irritably. “Want tasty. That kind—fragrant, soft, hot.”

As she spoke, she even gestured a shape with her hands.

Lilia understood. That was a roasted drumstick.

Phew—

Lilia let out a long breath. Thank goodness. As long as she didn’t want to eat *me*.

“Well…” Lilia looked around.

This was the depths of the Sighing Mountains. There was nothing but rocks—no grass, no life, let alone food delivery. Even if delivery apps existed, the delivery guy would’ve been eaten clean by the insect swarm outside.

“Dora, look at this place.” Lilia spread her hands, pointing at the barren cliffs on both sides. “Forget human food, there’s not even a trace of humans here.”

Dora’s face instantly fell.

At that moment, Lilia felt like she was looking at a husky about to tear the house apart because it didn’t get canned food.

Danger level skyrocketing.

“None?” Dora’s voice dropped several degrees, and even the surrounding temperature seemed to fall. “Liar. You said bring me to play.”

Her thick dragon tail began slamming the ground restlessly, each strike making the earth tremble.

Lilia cursed inwardly but kept her composure. As a seasoned corporate slave, calming down an irritable client was basic skill.

“Don’t rush.” Lilia raised a finger and waved it. “Even though we don’t have ready-made human food, we can make it.”

Dora paused. “Make?”

“Yep.” Lilia pointed at the large black pot on Xiao Hong’s back. “As long as we have ingredients, I can make something delicious for you.”

Dora’s eyes lit up, the hostility fading and replaced with pure curiosity. “Ingredients? What is?”

“Meat.” Lilia answered simply. “Whether it runs on land, flies in the sky, or swims in water. As long as there’s meat, I can make that… fragrant, hot flavor you want.”

As she spoke, she even mimed sprinkling seasoning, her ritualistic gesture successfully bluffing this inexperienced country dragon.

Dora slurped her saliva.

“Meat…” she muttered, then turned her head, scanning the canyon like a radar.

Finally, her gaze locked onto a crevice in the rocks not far away.

There, several hard-shelled lizards the size of calves were peeking out, seemingly attracted by the earlier commotion.

“That?” Dora pointed at them.

Lilia glanced over. Those things were thick-skinned and ugly, looking like something straight out of a biohazard movie—definitely not appetizing.

But right now, having something to eat was good enough.

“Good enough.” Lilia put on an expert-like expression. “Skin it, debone it, add more chili powder, should be able to cover that earthy taste.”

“As long as you can catch it.”

Before she even finished speaking—

Dora had already disappeared from where she stood.

Lilia only felt a gust of wind rush past her, followed by a miserable scream.

One of the hard-shelled lizards that had been watching just moments ago was now pinned to the ground.

Dora’s small foot stepped on its head. The lizard probably weighed a ton, but under her foot it was like a hamster being held by the scruff—struggling desperately but unable to move.

“Caught it.”

Dora turned back, holding the still-twitching tail, her face clearly saying “praise me.”

Lilia’s eye twitched.

But…

She stroked her chin.

With such a top-tier fighter on the team, maybe their meal standards could be improved a bit?

Looking at Dora’s small yet violently capable figure, Lilia suddenly felt that this trip to the Black Sea might not be so bad after all.

“Xiao Hong!” Lilia waved grandly, as if commanding the world. “Set up the pot! Start a fire! Today we’re having sashimi—no, stone-grilled!”

Xiao Hong set down the large black pot with a bitter expression.

Back when she ruled the forest, life was great. Now she was working for others every day—and worst of all, she couldn’t afford to offend any of them.

And this ingredient…

Xiao Hong glanced at the screaming hard-shelled lizard, then at Lilia, who was already rolling up her sleeves to “cook,” and silently lit a candle for the poor creature.

Hopefully it would die quickly.

“What are you standing around for?” Lilia turned and glared at Bulara, who was pretending to be dead. “Go clean and prepare this lizard.”

The purple light in Bulara’s eyes flickered, but she didn’t resist. She stiffly walked over.

Lilia nodded in satisfaction.

Good. This team was manageable now.

She pulled out a set of unused seasonings from her system inventory.

“Dora, stop playing around. Catch two more—one isn’t enough to fill the gaps between teeth!”

The canyon instantly descended into chaos.

On this day, the native creatures of the Sighing Mountains finally recalled the fear of being dominated by a top predator.

And that never-before-smelled, outrageously strong aroma of cumin.
