Thrown back to the dark dimension, Xu Feng’s eyes glanced at the system prompt that congratulated him on his tier advancement.

Looking at his status screen, Xu Feng took a deep breath. It had truly been quite the difficult journey to reach level 70 and advance to Tier 2.

”If it weren’t for Carmen, who negated the debuff, I wonder how much longer it’ll take me to reach here.” Despite having lots of knowledge in the Divine World, there really weren’t many shortcuts available for him.

He also didn’t dare to rashly use or trigger lots of events, lest the difficulty in the Divine World would soar immensely.

Not to mention, he might even receive more suppression from the System itself.

Naturally, the suppression wouldn’t be direct but achieved through subtle means.

No player could singlehandedly dominate the Divine World in this early stage.

As for Carmen being the sole exception at the moment, Xu Feng reckoned this was most likely thanks to Librarian Griselda’s ability to fend off the retaliation and suppression of the System.

”Ugh, Carmen got herself a sugar mama, so when is it my turn?” He frowned and felt bitterness. There were so many NPCs who somehow despised him in their first meeting.

Was his face really that ugly in their eyes?

He wasn’t handsome, but at the very least, he wasn’t ugly!

This was the truth, alright!

Ding!

[System Notification: Events in the Origin Trial 2.0 have been saved! Player Lin Feng can undertake Origin Trial 3.0 once you reach level 100!]

”Haha... level 100. That’s going to be another tough grinding journey.” He pursed his lips and closed out the prompt.

He chose to stay around in the dark dimension for a while, granted that the time zone here was different from the Divine World.

Now that he had become Tier 2, it was time to check on his skills in the Origin Skill Tree.

It was about time for a major power-up.

3,000 years later...

Naturally, the time spent was an exaggeration, but Xu Feng indeed spent a long time deciding which skills to unlock and upgrade.

A character’s power was very determinant in their building of skills and what sort of playstyle they wished to have.

Since Xu Feng planned on a Hybrid Build Path, he needed to ensure his offensive and defensive remained at an equilibrium balance.

”All my Origin Points are spent again.” Satisfied, he opened his skill tree and glanced at the current skills he had in the Origin Hybrid Path.

Branch 1: Reversal Mastery (Core Reversal Abilities)

Manipulates the flow of vitality itself — capable of inverting, enhancing, or corrupting the essence of life energy.

Tier 1 Skills

Anathema’s Touch (2 Effects)

Effect 1: Converts healing done to a person into pure damage (scales with Magic Power).

Effect 2: Healing becomes tripled and boosts attributes by 5%.

Invert Vitality – Reverses all healing received by the target within 5s into damage amplified by Origin stat.

Parasite Bloom (2 Effects)

Effect 1: Absorbs healing and explodes, dealing AoE damage.

Effect 2: Amplifies the target’s stats and forms a 10,000+ durability barrier (scales with caster).

Soul Rend Ward – Places a ward that converts healing within its area into health and buffs for the caster.

Tier 2 Skills

Ecliptic Benediction (Advanced Reversal Aura) – Creates a radiant field where all healing is mirrored — 50% goes to allies, 50% becomes radiance damage to enemies. Duration: 10s.

[Synergy: Amplified when paired with Anathema’s Touch or Overheal Detonation.]

Reversal Convergence – Channels all reversed healing within a 15m radius into a single explosion. Damage scales with total healing reversed (up to 800% Magic Power).

Penance Bloom (Evolution of Parasite Bloom) – Parasite evolves. It now stores both healing and damage. When detonated, it redistributes the stored energy to chosen allies (heal) or enemies (damage), depending on the user’s intent.

—

Branch 2: Withering Surge (Hybrid Damage & Utility)

Blends decay and sanctity — corrupting the concept of vitality itself to erode enemies while empowering allies.

Tier 1 Skills

Decay Infusion – Imbues the target with decay; reduces healing by 50% and applies DoT.

Spirit Reversal Beam – Fires a beam that removes buffs/heals, converting them into raw damage.

Ethereal Tether – Links two targets; healing one harms the other (stackable with Anathema’s Touch).

Undo Salvation – Reverses all HP gains in an area into massive true damage.

Tier 2 Skills

Twilight Purge (Advanced Beam Form) – An evolved beam that alternates between purging blessings and draining vitality. Every 2s, it flips its polarity, healing allies while damaging enemies or vice versa.

Soulbind Rupture – Enhances Ethereal Tether: if either linked target were removed, the other suffers ”soul backlash,” taking 40% of the removed link target’s max HP as true damage.

Withering Resonance – Passive. Every instance of healing or reversal amplifies the caster’s next offensive spell by 3% (up to 15 stacks).

—

Branch 3: Catastrophic Vitality (High-Risk, High-Reward Offense)

Harnesses excess life energy as a weapon, healing and damage converge in devastating detonation effects.

Tier 1 Skills

Overheal Detonation – Excess healing triggers a massive AoE explosion.

Verdant Collapse – Summons a growth-based plant construct that channels healing and converts it into destructive bursts.

Blessed Extinction – Boosts healing potency; after 5s, converts it into percentage-based damage.

Life Reaper (2 Effects)

Effect 1: Healing inflicts bonus damage = 10% of the healing amount.

Effect 2: Damage taken converts to HP; excess = attack buff.

Tier 2 Skills

Divine Cataclysm (Ultimate Variant of Overheal Detonation) – Accumulates all overhealing within 15s and releases it as a catastrophic explosion. Deals hybrid holy-dark damage based on 150% of accumulated healing.

Note: If Sanctuary Light is active, convert the explosion into a purifying storm instead.

Eternal Bloom Construct (Advanced Verdant Collapse) – Upgraded summon capable of self-healing and absorbing elemental damage. Each time it receives healing, it stores part of it as ”Seed Energy”. When destroyed, the energy detonates for massive AoE damage.

Vital Sacrament – For 12s, every heal the caster performs consumes 10% of his own HP but multiplies the heal’s magnitude by 250% and grants self or allies temporary damage immunity for 1s per heal instance.

Looking at the first three branches, Xu Feng couldn’t help flashing a sly grin.

”Finally... The strongest healer title is about to prove true.” He adjusted his glasses in satisfaction.
