Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Zhao Kai swapped out his sword for a gun this time and began firing at the palm of the Colossus’ hand.

Sure enough, the Colossus instantly became alerted and tried to shift its position to avoid its palm from being shot.

And it was precisely at that glimpse of opening that Zhao Kai noticed the gravitational pull had weakened slightly. It was not very noticeable unless one was paying heavy attention to that aspect.

’Feng really is the encyclopedia.’ He exclaimed inwardly. He then took the chance to advance further from the danger zone.

”Shoot at 5 o’clock in the direction of your back.” Xu Feng’s voice continued to echo through the video call.

Without needing to even turn around, Zhao Kai did as instructed and fired precisely in the direction.

”Feng, can this be considered cheating?” Zhao Kai laughed sinisterly. To be able to fire accurately despite not looking was truly broken.

Thanks to the video call, Xu Feng was able to see the scene behind and inform Zhao Kai in advance about where and when to shoot.

”This isn’t called cheating, but utilizing the system feature to one’s advantage.” Xu Feng corrected. ”Many players are a bunch of dorks and fail to understand the system features, which are immensely useful to us.”

In response, Zhao Kai twitched his brows. Clearly, he had a feeling that Xu Feng was insulting him for being a dork. However, that didn’t make sense either since Xu Feng did mention many players.

In other words, he should be talking about the players who only cared about dungeon raids or grinding rather than exploring the system features.

’Heh, it can’t be me. Feng already knows I’m a laid-back player.’ Zhao Kai thought to himself.

With that in mind, he continued to follow Xu Feng’s instructions.

”Change direction and shift to the left side.”

”Remain in position but duck in 3 seconds.”

”Good, now use your shield and tank the incoming spell. Use the spell knockback effect to propel yourself away.”

As Xu Feng’s rain of command came flying in without any delay, Zhao Kai realized the difficulty of actually following it.

Each of the instructions was in real-time— a reaction to the Colossus’ move.

Therefore, if Zhao Kai messed up even a little bit, then his situation would only become more perilous.

’I won’t make any mistakes.’ Zhao Kai vowed solemnly. He was going to perfect everything that Xu Feng would say to him.

”Shift to your right direction by 3 inches.” Xu Feng suddenly commanded once he detected the Colossus’ movement.

”Got it!” Zhao Kai replied and made his move. He turned to his left and glanced at the ground to measure the distance while advancing.

”Kai, that’s the left direction.”

Alarmed, Zhao Kai didn’t expect to make a mistake the moment he just claimed he wouldn’t.

BOOM!

He didn’t even have time to correct it when he received a heavy blow from the Colossus. His health bar dropped by 20 percent and his equipment durability went down by 30 percent.

”Ugh, that was painful.” Zhao Kai gritted his teeth. Although the pain tolerance of the system had been set at a bearable limit, the Colossus’ attack was just simply far too much.

It hurt as if he had been struck by a truck from out of nowhere.

Through the video call, Xu Feng didn’t know what else to say. In the end, he facepalmed and said, ”Alright, get up and start preparing to fight.”

”Feng, are we not running away?” Panicked, Zhao Kai thought he was being abandoned. ”No, don’t leave me here to die.”

”Enough with your melodrama act.” Xu Feng clicked his tongue. ”Your dumb luck despite being hit somehow made you go out of the vicinity. Now you’re in the area that I have set up beforehand. This is now your time to give the big sturdy rock a payback.”

As soon as Xu Feng finished his statement, Zhao Kai instantly received a bunch of buffs.

”Oh ho!” Exhilarated, Zhao Kai’s status screen was bombarded with numerous tiny icons. His depleted health from the earlier strike also recovered to full in the blink of an eye.

”I don’t need to read what the buffs do, right?” Amidst his excitement, Zhao Kai made sure to ask if he was required to read them.

”...”

”Just go all ham like you did before.” Exhausted, Xu Feng was also too lazy to babysit him to read what the buff does.

Instantly, Zhao Kai smirked and gazed at the looming Colossus.

The Colossus stared down at Zhao Kai with intense pressure. It exuded a ferocious aura and began strengthening its body.

Soon, the surrounding field started to freeze, and Zhao Kai was struck dumbfounded by the sight. The leaves and trees started to turn into frozen ice.

And the ground level was slowly creeping toward his sight.

”Um, Feng, is this supposed to happen?” Nervous, Zhao Kai was afraid of advancing and turning into some ice statue.

”It’s just the Frost Aura. Your movement would simply be slowed upon contact within the field. But there’s a loophole.”

”A loophole?” He furrowed his brows and then glanced at the open sky.

Indeed, the sky wasn’t affected by the frost aura whatsoever. In other words, as long as he stayed airborne, he would remain fine.

However, staying airborne for a prolonged time wasn’t easy.

”I guess this is where the actual testing is.” Zhao Kai clenched the hilt of his sword tightly and uttered. To become an overnight fame sensation or to remain a loser who relied on connection to climb to this rank.

Now was the time for Zhao Kai to either prove them right or wrong.

”Feng, you know I hate reading skill descriptions, but I never slacked off once in the training you assigned me.” Zhao Kai curled his lips upward, flashing a cold grin.

In the next second, Zhao Kai shot the ground, creating a large blasting impact that propelled him to the sky. His eyes glared down at the Colossus, who clearly seemed ready for the aggression.
