Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Shortly after Xu Feng began studying the Veil Breaker design, the environment within the stage continued to intensify.

Not only did the freezing temperature dampen the contestants, but it was starting to eliminate some of the weaker ones who didn’t have much cold resistance.

Since everyone here was a Blacksmith Profession, they had higher flame resistance compared to other resistance attributes.

Thus, one by one, more contestants were frostbite and fainted on the spot.

”Contestant number 43 is eliminated.” The employees exclaimed and escorted the near-ice statue person away from the stage.

”Heh, another one who can’t withstand the coldness.”

”What a shame, I actually had some high hopes for contestant number 43.”

”Well, they aren’t a bad seed either and could be recruited. Just not too high of a price since their resistance is pathetically low.”

Witnessing the scene, the audience collectively made their judgment and thoughts on the matter. Although not having high cold resistance wasn’t a big deal, most of these people here held very high standards now thanks to Yaren.

If a blacksmith can’t even adapt to unpredictability and overcome it, then how are they going to expect these people to be a valuable asset to them?

Amidst their conversation, Brutus was rather curious about Xu Feng’s action and turned to Carmen, ”Lady Lunar Wraith, what do you think the boss is talking with that woman for?”

”I don’t know either.” Carmen shrugged and shook her head. ”But knowing him, he’s probably up to some schemes again.”

As she said that, she noticed Crimson Heart’s expression changed slightly, cementing her thoughts that Xu Feng was ready to cause trouble again.

’The Guild Leader is always seeking a beneficial situation for him. If he helped Crimson Heart out, it meant that she’s useful to him.’ She inwardly exclaimed, scrutinizing Crimson Heart’s action.

Precisely at this moment, Crimson Heart suddenly retrieved her Tier 3 offensive scroll, astonishing some of those in the audience as well.

Since Xu Feng’s outburst and bold question from earlier, followed by Yaren’s praise of Crimson Heart, these two had garnered quite the attention. Thus, they were quickly taken aback when they saw Crimson Heart taking out an offensive scroll.

”What is she trying to do?”

”Could she be trying to backstab contestant number 69? But didn’t they just converse briefly?”

”Wait, look at where she is aiming the scroll at!”

Nobody knew who shouted it, but the moment they heard it, everyone was baffled to see Crimson Heart making a move at another contestant who was forging and about to enter the final phase.

Situated above the top that oversaw the competition, Yaren started laughing wildly upon seeing the act.

”Hahaha, this Lin Feng is really something else. To corrupt another contestant that I gave high praise to commit such an act of sabotage.” She was amused. Nobody in the competition aside from her had a grasp of control over the situation despite her demeanor.

Nothing could escape her keen eyesight!

While Yaren was eager to watch the scene unfold, the contestant who was focusing on forging sensed a foreboding.

He turned around and noticed Crimson Heart launching an offensive scroll at him.

”What are you doing?” He shouted ferociously. ”Are you not afraid of getting disqualified for launching an offensive spell?”

”Afraid?” Crimson Heart rolled her eyes. The moment she had subtly activated the scroll, she made sure to pay attention to Yaren’s response.

And to her surprise, rather than taking any action, Yaren’s eyes were lit up, almost as if she couldn’t wait for her to cause trouble.

Additionally, none of the employees on standby reacted at all, meaning that her actions were totally acceptable and in line with Yaren’s arrangement.

Thus, her confidence soared as she unleashed the spell, directly impacting the contestant and destroying their hard forging work into dust.

The contestant wasn’t some weak individual, but having to resist the cold temperature and expend a lot of mana to maintain the flame power for the forge, they were already near exhaustion.

As the blast occurred, alerting the other contestants, they were all stunned.

”Is this woman crazy?”

”Why would she launch an attack on that person?”

”Disqualify her already!”

Most of those who finally caught on were wholeheartedly focused on their forge, so they failed to realize the situation until it had already ended.

However, once they noticed no one went ahead to apprehend Crimson Heart whereas she was charging to another contestant, realization soon struck upon them.

”Fuck, so we can really sabotage others without holding anything back?”

”Damn it, I failed again. If I can’t win, then I might as well ruin the others so that we all fail.”

Soon, those whose chances were abysmally low in successfully forging an item began to stare at those who had high success in passing.

Meanwhile, those who had a high success rate swallowed a mouthful of saliva nervously upon being gazed at like they were prey.

”Don’t you dare sabotage me! My family will never let you go if they find out I failed because of you!”

”If you dare to sabotage me, then prepare to die if you ever step foot outside Paradise Plains.”

Despite their threats, their hands never left their forging. It became quite clear that they couldn’t afford to stop at all unless they wanted to fail.

This was the most tedious part of a forger. Once started, you can never stop unless you don’t want a high-quality result.

”Heh, I have a good background too, so let’s see who will cry.”

”Yeah, if I can’t fail, then you might as well fail with us. As long as we all fail, I’m sure Conductor Yaren will make some alterations to the competition.”

Shortly after, the freezing environment was sidelined with newfound determination between two different sides of the contestants.

One side was those who knew they couldn’t pass and another side was those who knew they could pass.

Amidst their intense glare and verbal threats back and forth, Crimson Heart, who had finished eliminating another one, finally turned her attention to them.

She took a glimpse back at Xu Feng, who had already gone to the edge of the competition and remained lowkey.

’This competition is really ruined by him and Yaren.’ She thought to herself.
