Incredible Insight: Toy Factory Discovers Swarm Drones

Chapter 361 Liu Jianguo: Fulfilling Xiao Li’s Any Desires’This kid must be calling to bring me good news,’ the thought surfaced in his mind.

In an excellent mood, he swiped the answer button, pressed the phone to his ear, and spoke in a very hearty tone.

”Hello, Little Li!”

”What made you think of calling your Uncle Liu? Have those firefighting devices started to take shape?”

From the other end of the line, Li Jiajun’s voice immediately came through, also carrying a hint of excitement.

”Uncle Liu, it’s not that fast, but...”

Li Jiajun’s tone shifted, carrying a trace of distress.

”I’ve run into a bit of trouble on my end.”

”Oh? What kind of trouble?” Liu Jianguo took a sip of tea and asked leisurely.

In his view, given this kid’s abilities, there shouldn’t be any technical problem within the Eastern Country that could stump him.

”Uncle Liu, it’s like this.”

Li Jiajun got straight to the point on the phone, directly stating his predicament.

”The smaller firefighting devices from before were manageable; those old machines in my factory could make do to produce them.”

”But that big guy, the prototype for the [Full-Armor Firefighting Vehicle], I really can’t handle it on my end.”

Li Jiajun let out a sigh.

”Mainly, its chassis components are just too large and the structure is complex. My little toy factory simply doesn’t have such large forging equipment or assembly lines; I can’t build it from scratch.”

”So I wanted to ask if you could help me out?”

Li Jiajun’s tone was somewhat consultative.

”Could you see if the Military Industry Department has any decommissioned vehicles with similar dimensions and structures that I could bring back and modify?”

”That would save a lot of trouble.”

...

Listening to Li Jiajun’s request,

Liu Jianguo, on this end of the phone, didn’t even think twice and immediately slapped his thigh.

”Ha! And here I thought it was something major!”

”Leave this little matter to your Uncle Liu!”

Liu Jianguo’s tone was full of bold assurance.

His mind was currently filled with the Old General’s serious face and that urging phrase, ”Produce results as soon as possible.”

For him, as long as Li Jiajun could tinker out that fire truck capable of handling extreme environments, never mind just a decommissioned chassis—even if he wanted the stars in the sky, Liu would dare to find a way to coordinate it.

’It’s just a vehicle frame, after all.’

’In our Military Industry Department, if there’s one thing we have plenty of, it’s various types of decommissioned vehicle chassis.’

’Pulling one out of any random warehouse would still be better than the production line at his little toy factory,’ Liu Jianguo thought.

Having reasoned this out, his tone over the phone became even more enthusiastic.

”Little Li, here’s what we’ll do.”

”Don’t worry about it anymore; I’ll have my assistant coordinate with you immediately.”

”Whatever chassis specifications you need or specific requirements you have, just tell him directly.”

”I guarantee it’ll be handled perfectly for you!”

After saying this, he didn’t even wait for Li Jiajun to reply before pressing the internal intercom button on his desk.

”Little Zhang, come in for a moment.”

...

A few seconds later.

The office door was pushed open, and a young secretary wearing a crisp uniform and black-rimmed glasses walked in quickly.

He was Assistant Zhang, a secretary Liu Jianguo had recently promoted, always steady and capable in his work.

”Minister, you called for me.” Assistant Zhang stood ramrod straight.

Liu Jianguo pointed to the phone in his hand and then, in a decisive tone, directly instructed the assistant before him:

”The person on the other end is Factory Director Li, Li Jiajun, the chief designer of our firefighting equipment project.”

”He currently needs a special vehicle chassis for a prototype. Coordinate with him immediately.”

At this point, Liu Jianguo’s tone grew heavier as he emphasized each word:

”My requirement is just one sentence!”

”Whatever Factory Director Li needs, we satisfy!”

”If he needs people, give him people; if he needs things, give him things! No buck-passing or delays allowed, do you understand!”

”Yes! Minister!” Assistant Zhang responded loudly. Although he was somewhat puzzled, he immediately noted down this highest directive.

Liu Jianguo nodded with satisfaction, then picked up the phone again and smiled at Li Jiajun on the other end:

”Did you hear that, Little Li? Just look for Little Zhang.”

”Got it, thanks Uncle Liu!” Li Jiajun’s voice was full of joy.

The two exchanged a few more pleasantries before hanging up.

Liu Jianguo set down his phone, feeling thoroughly refreshed.

This was great; all the specific tasks were dumped onto his assistant. He could go back to being a hands-off manager and wait to see the results.

...

Inside the Li Family Toy Factory in Baishui City.

After hanging up, Li Jiajun was also in a great mood.

Without any delay, he immediately used the number Liu Jianguo had given him to contact Assistant Zhang.

Once the call connected, both sides were very polite.

”Hello, Assistant Zhang, I’m Li Jiajun. Minister Liu just asked me to contact you.”

”Hello, Factory Director Li, the Minister has already given his instructions. May I ask what specific requirements you have for the chassis? You can send me a copy of the requirement document.” The voice on the other end sounded very professional.

”Alright, alright, I’ll send it to you right away.”

As he spoke, Li Jiajun sent over the detailed requirement document for the ”Full-Armor Firefighting Vehicle” chassis that he had already prepared on his computer via encrypted email.

After sending it, he very politely added over the phone:

”Assistant Zhang, could you see if our Military Industry Department has any old vehicles with similar dimensions and structures that can be decommissioned for me to modify?”

”I’ll have to trouble you to help me look for one. As long as the data is close, it’s fine; it doesn’t need to be a perfect match, since I’ll have to modify it anyway.”

”It’s no trouble, Factory Director Li, it’s what we should do,” Assistant Zhang responded politely. ”I will process it immediately upon receiving the file.”

...

A few minutes later.

In an assistant’s office within the Ministry of Military Industry building in the Imperial Capital.

The young Assistant Zhang hung up the phone and took a sip from the teacup on his desk.

He gave the highest level of importance to this task personally assigned by the Minister.

He had just heard from the Minister that this Factory Director Li was the ”chief designer of the firefighting equipment project,” a key figure in solving the bottleneck issues for the nation’s high-end firefighting equipment.

’It’s just a fire truck chassis.’

’What complex requirements could there be? It’s probably just a bit higher load-bearing and more horsepower.’ The thought occurred to him.

Thinking this, he clicked on his computer’s email inbox and opened the encrypted email from Li Jiajun.

In the email, there was only one document named ”Technical Requirements for the Base Chassis of the ’Firefighting Fully Armored Vehicle’.”

Assistant Zhang moved his mouse and double-clicked to open the document.

Initially, his face still bore a professional and calm smile.

He just gave a cursory glance at the document title and the first few lines of text.

However,

as his gaze moved down the document and he began to read the specific parameters one by one,

the expression on his face began to freeze bit by bit.

The first requirement of the document: [Chassis Type: Tracked chassis, requiring high-strength alloy steel material and an ultra-long stroke torsion bar suspension system.]

’Tracked? Torsion bar suspension?’

Assistant Zhang’s brow furrowed slightly, and he felt something was off.

Ordinary fire trucks were wheeled; why would one use tracks and a suspension system commonly seen only on military vehicles?

He suppressed his confusion and continued reading.

The second requirement: [Vehicle Load Capacity: The chassis structure must be able to carry an armored body and additional equipment weight of no less than 50 tons.]

”Fifty tons?!”

Upon seeing this number, Assistant Zhang’s hand holding the teacup jerked violently, spilling a few drops of tea.

He felt his heart skip a beat.

Was this a joke?

Currently, the heaviest domestic fire truck didn’t even exceed thirty tons when fully loaded. This one chassis alone needed to carry a fifty-ton vehicle body? Was he building a mobile fortress?

An ominous premonition surged into his heart.

Enduring his shock, he moved his gaze to the final and most core power requirement.

The third requirement: [Power Unit Reserved Space: The engine compartment must have sufficient space reserved to install a diesel engine set with a total power of no less than 1200 horsepower.]

The moment the number ”1200 horsepower” entered his vision,

Assistant Zhang’s brain went ”buzz,” as if it had been struck hard by something.

He sat dazed in his chair, eyes wide, staring fixedly at the rows of cold text on the screen, his mouth unconsciously hanging open, unable to make a sound.

Tracked chassis...

Torsion bar suspension...

Load capacity over fifty tons...

Over one thousand two hundred horsepower...

These parameters, which could be called abnormal, continuously combined, collided, and overlapped in his mind.

Finally, they converged into a steel silhouette that he was all too familiar with—one that made his scalp tingle.

The office was terrifyingly quiet, with only the sound of his increasingly heavy breathing.

Assistant Zhang felt his worldview being completely overturned at this moment.

Only one thought echoed wildly in his mind, almost screaming to burst from his throat.

’This... isn’t this freaking just the chassis of a main battle tank?!’

’And these specs are even more impressive than our active-duty main battle tanks!’
