Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 284: Goals And Ambitions

Before conquering the second floor, he preferred to take the solo route. But when he felt that intoxicating sense of power again near the end of the second floor, his opinion changed.

He missed the days when, in his previous life, he ruled over an entire continent—those times when he reigned like a god, and everyone was forced to obey his every word.

Unfortunately, his life back then was limited by his lifespan. But in this life, he had no such limitation. With his potential and talent, it was only a matter of time before he reached the peak.

Of course, it wasn’t just because of the ambitions carried over from his past life. He had also come to realize that if he could take control of his country, rebuilding the Eternity Faith would be much easier.

He could easily make it the nation’s official religion and, with a few adjustments and heavy promotion, convince everyone to worship it.

After all, the Eternity Faith, because of its content and goal, would easily gain support from a humanity obsessed with immortality.

The first step to achieving this was seizing control of the government. But how?

It might sound simple, but in reality, it was an incredibly difficult task—especially since, for now, he didn’t have the power for it.

He tapped his finger against the table slowly as countless possibilities, ideas, and thoughts ran through his mind. Among them, he managed to reach a few solid conclusions.

”Faith and worship.” He was going to become the new leader of the Eternity Faith, so the only thing he needed to do was secure an enormous place in people’s hearts.

To do that, he needed to build the image of a just and invincible figure in their minds—someone they would both worship and fear.

The method was simple: he just had to show himself more in battles and events where the younger generation had opportunities to stand out.

He also needed to solve the country’s current crisis when the time came—but not yet. The nation hadn’t hit its most critical point.

Until the people were pushed into their absolute worst state, he wouldn’t act. But when he did, he could seize the hearts of everyone.

A cold smile appeared on his face. In the end, all of this was just ambition and a goal. Whether he followed through with it or not, it wouldn’t matter much to him.

But a person without ambition and goals was nothing more than a walking corpse. Since he would reach the peak no matter what, he might as well make the path easier and more interesting.

Of course, there were other reasons too. The stronger he became, both in combat power and political influence, the easier it would be for him to protect his family.

After that, he turned to the next headline.

”The leadership of the Sairon Blade Guild has changed,” he read the words slowly.

It wasn’t a particularly important piece of news and, in fact, it was somewhat expected. Still, it could be considered that this guild was as good as dead from now on.

Unless the new leader of this guild could somehow save it from destruction, which he highly doubted. Such a task would require exceptional skill.

He continued reading the rest of the news, but because of the heavy censorship and media control enforced by the government, there really wasn’t much of importance.

One report was about a controlled Purple-Rank dungeon, so there was no danger, and a raid team would soon be dispatched to clear it.

The next was about the top figures of the new generation, and interestingly, Daniel was among them.

”Well, makes sense. Even though I haven’t shown myself much, those few achievements are enough to make me known,” he chuckled a little.

Currently, according to Medes News magazine, the top figures of the new generation were him, Lana, James, Diana, and Kaelos’s eldest son. However, because of his father’s actions, the latter had been pushed into the background.

”James, huh?” A trace of coldness flashed in his eyes. Unfortunately, the two hadn’t had the chance to meet yet.

James still wasn’t fully known. Not even a picture of his face had been released—only his name and his background, the Goblin Guild, had been made public.

But according to what Lana told him, it seemed the Goblin Guild was planning to hold a large ceremony in the Celestial Domain to officially introduce James and declare him as their heir.

”Looks like I’ll have to wait for now.” Even though he wanted to deal with that trash right now, he chose to wait. The best time to act would be during that ceremony.

That way, he could also boost his fame and solidify his standing as the top figure.

”Still, I need to take back first place for that.” James had managed to secure first place in the combat simulation competition organized by the Federation.

He had planned to reclaim first place much earlier but decided to wait for that girl, Diana, to challenge the simulation again.

Then he glanced over the last few headlines. There was nothing worth paying attention to. He turned off his phone and set it down on the table.

”Better check on them,” he said, standing up and rolling his neck. He looked at the time on his watch, then decided to head to the training room.

The training room was located beneath the villa, so he had to take the elevator to get there. He stepped in and descended to floor 0.

The training room was an enormous space covered with the most advanced technology in the world. The floor was completely white, while the ceiling was silver.

Pride, Azrakh, Velmord, and Malrik were there, training Alice and Tiana.

He didn’t interrupt their training and simply watched them from a corner. Since that incident, his sisters had truly realized the importance of power—they understood that without strength, something like that could easily happen to them again.

Because of that, they had started training much more seriously, and they were genuinely making good progress.

Still, now that Daniel was watching their combat practice, he could see they had some flaws and weaknesses.

”Maybe I should bring them with me into the Celestial Domain?” he thought to himself.

Even if it seemed impossible, there was actually a way.
