Chapter 452 New Sect Leader Of Heaven Sword Sect! ************************* [Host Info]

Host: Bai Zihan

Age: 18

Cultivation Realm: Void Refinement (Early)

Constitution: Supreme Dao Bone

Martial Arts:

Nine Shadows Flowing Light Sword (Major Mastery)

Eternal Flowing Water Sword (Greater Mastery) Fate Severing Slash (Greater Mastery)

Heavenʼs Mandate Reversal (Beginner Mastery) ************************* ”Not bad!”

Bai Zihan muttered.

He has managed to break through to the Void Refinement Realm and also stabilize it.

He exhaled. ”How long was I in there...?”

He paused, calculating by instinct alone. ”More than two months.”

At the very least, he thought.

Bai Zihan rose from the cultivation platform and stretched lightly.

His robes were heavy with dried spiritual residue and sweat-hardly suitable for meeting anyone.

Before anything else... ”I need a bath.” ***

After taking a bath, he called for Kong Zhanghong but the transmission talisman had no response.

Seeing that contacting Kong Zhanghong was pointless, Bai Zihan decided to walk around the Bai Clan.

The Bai Clan was lively.

Far livelier than before the war.

New buildings had risen. Training grounds echoed with the sound of clashing weapons.

Disciples moved about with purpose, their auras sharper, steadier-stronger. Everywhere Bai Zihan went, people noticed him.

And everywhere-

They bowed respectfully.

No whispers.

No pity.

No awkward avoidance.

As if his crippled state had changed nothing at all.

Bai Zihan observed this quietly.

He passed familiar places-old courtyards, quiet corners where he had once trained or rested.

Yet when he stopped and looked around-

There was no one to talk to.

No one to casually exchange words with.

Almost unconsciously, a name surfaced in his mind. ”...Luo Qing”

Bai Zihan paused.

At the very least, when she was here, he could talk with her for a bit. But now, there was no one.

Bai Zihan stood alone in the courtyard. ”I really donʼt have friends anymore.”

He smirked as those words left his mouth. ”Itʼs not like I cared much to begin with.”

Yet the silence lingered a little longer than before. ***

Days passed peacefully.

Normally, Kong Zhanghong would have appeared soon after receiving the message, but something seemed to have delayed him.

Bai Zihan wasnʼt too hurried.

He cultivated lightly, walked the clan grounds, and observed the changes brought by time and power.

Then-

On the fourth day-

Kong Zhanghong appeared before him, kneeling on one knee without hesitation. ”Young Master!”

Bai Zihan looked at him calmly. ”You took your time.”

Kong Zhanghong lowered his head further. ”My apologies. Something came up that required my immediate attention.”

Bai Zihanʼs gaze sharpened. ”Report!”

Kong Zhanghong hesitated-just for a fraction of a second.

Then spoke. ”Sect Leader Tian Yuheng has been outcast.”

The peaceful days ended there. ***

Kong Zhanghongʼs voice remained steady, but the weight behind his report was unmistakable.

While Bai Zihan had entered seclusion, Clan Head Bai Tianheng honored his promise.

He sent the High Earth-Grade cultivation technique to Tian Yuheng without requiring the Heaven Sword Sect to align itself with the Bai Clan.

However, it was already too late.

The damage had been done long before the technique arrived.

By then, many disciples-especially outer, inner and core disciples-had already obtained the cultivation method through other channels.

Some came from the Bai Clanʼs side.

Others originated from the Li-Zhao Alliance.

The sectʼs internal imbalance had already solidified.

Inefficiency, after all, bred resentment faster than outright denial.

Rather than stabilizing the Heaven Sword Sect, Tian Yuhengʼs decision became another weapon in Elder Hanʼs hands.

Elder Han publicly accused him of further ”boot-licking” the Bai Clan, claiming that even at the brink of collapse, the sect leader chose to beg for favors instead of leading with strength.

The timing could not have been more perfect.

The disciples were already dissatisfied.

The elders were deeply divided.

Several Grand Elders chose silence-and in such matters, silence was nothing short of endorsement.

With the backing of the Anti-Sect Leader faction, Elder Han convened an internal tribunal.

Tian Yuheng was accused of incompetence, loss of authority, and endangering the sectʼs future.

The outcome was inevitable.

He was forced to step down.

Tian Yuheng didnʼt fight since doing so would lead to Civil War among the Heaven Sword Sect which he wanted to avoid at the very least.

He felt that stepping down was the best decision he could make for the Heaven

Sword Sect.

So, what many thought was waiting for an internal strife didnʼt happen.

Tian Yuhengʼs life was spared.

His cultivation remained intact, and he was permitted to retain an Elderʼs position.

Yet Tian Yuheng relinquished that role himself-without hesitation.

He knew that Elder Han only wanted to give him the position to humiliate him. ”Elder Han has ascended to the position of Sect Leader.”

For a brief moment, the courtyard fell silent. Standing beneath the shade of a tree, Bai Zihan paused.

The conclusion was neither surprising nor difficult to understand.

Kong Zhanghong continued. ”Officially, the Heaven Sword Sect now claims ʼinternal restructuring!ʼ

Unofficially-” ”They belong to the Li-Zhao Alliance,” Bai Zihan said flatly.

There was no way that they didnʼt play a big role in this. ”Yes,” Kong Zhanghong replied. ”All key positions are now controlled by Elder Hanʼs faction. Resources, disciples, external communications-everything”

Bai Zihanʼs gaze turned distant.

He did not care who became Sect Leader.

He did not care if Tian Yuheng ruled-or Elder Han did.

But- ”For Li and Zhao to gain a top sect like this...” ”That, I canʼt allow.”

Kong Zhanghong was once again shaken by Bai Zihanʼs words.

No matter the opponent, Bai Zihan never seemed to hesitate.

Kong Zhanghong wanted to say something, but hesitated again.

Bai Zihan noticed immediately. ”You have more to report?”

Kong Zhanghong clenched his fist lightly, then relaxed. ”Yes,”

He straightened and met Bai Zihanʼs eyes. ”Please speak freely,” Bai Zihan said. ”Donʼt hold anything back.”

Kong Zhanghong inhaled deeply and continued.

Elder Han did not waste time consolidating power within the Heaven Sword

Sect.

The moment Tian Yuheng stepped down, sweeping changes followed-fast, decisive, and merciless.

The first move was internal purification.

Any disciple openly aligned with the Bai Clan was expelled.

Resistance naturally followed.

Protests erupted among inner and core disciples.

Several elders voiced dissent.

Some sword halls even refused to comply.

But it did not matter.

With Elder Han now seated as Sect Leader, his word had become final law.

Those who resisted were labeled remnants of the old regime.

Those who argued were accused of sabotaging the sectʼs future.

And those who hesitated were treated no differently.

What shocked many was not the expulsions themselves-

But the scale.

It was not only the Bai Clan-aligned disciples who were purged and not also those from Sect Leader faction.

Even those who had remained neutral were dragged into the storm.

Among them-

Qinglan!

The master of both Bai Zihan, Bai Xueqing and even Kong Zhanghong.

She had not taken sides during the whole conflict.

She had neither supported Tian Yuheng nor opposed Elder Han.

Yet neutrality had become a crime.

Under the new order, neutrality was treated as quiet defiance.

Qinglan was placed under ”temporary restriction.”

Her authority was stripped.

Her movements were monitored.

Her disciples-likewise.

Bai Xueqing, in particular, reacted fiercely.

She was furious.

Unlike Bai Zihan, she had deep emotional ties to both the Heaven Sword Sect and Qinglan.

To make matters worse, Bai Xueqing and all Bai Clan Members were later issued an expulsion order.

She was told to leave the sect.

For now, she remained within the Heaven Sword Sect-but it was clear that Elder Han had no intention of reversing his decision.

Elder Hanʼs faction continued tightening its grip. Disciples who once supported Tian Yuheng were quietly restrained. Those who raised questions were summoned for so-called ”disciplinary talks.”

Even elders who had remained silent were now under scrutiny.

The Heaven Sword Sect had changed.

It was no longer divided. It was unified- Through fear and dominance.

Kong Zhanghong finished his report with a grave expression.

As a former disciple of the Heaven Sword Sect himself, witnessing its fall left a bitter taste in his mouth. ”The Heaven Sword Sect is now firmly under Li-Zhao control,” he concluded. ”And Young Miss is being treated like an enemy.”

The air around Bai Zihan seemed to grow colder.

This time, it was no longer a matter of influence or balance.

Lines had been crossed.

And Elder Han had made it personal.

It seemed the man no longer cared to hide his allegiance.

Bai Zihan smirked. ”Kong Zhanghong,” he said calmly, ”prepare my ship.” ”Letʼs meet this fool.” ”And remind him of his place!”
